The creek water felt wonderfully cool around Aria's ankles as she stood in the shallows. Her toes buried themselves in the smooth stones that lined the creek bed, finding a comfortable spot to rest.
Liora was already perched on top of the turtle rock, her legs swinging freely back and forth, splashing water with her feet and laughing at the little waves she created.
Kaelan had stayed back on the bank, his shoes still on, watching the current flow past like it might tell him some important secret if he just looked long enough.
Liora called over to them cheerfully. "Hey, Aria! Come up here with me! The view's way better from up here!"
Aria glanced back at Kaelan, not wanting to leave him out. He gave a small shrug, his hands still in his pockets. "I'm good here. You go ahead."
