The silver light faded, leaving Isaiah alone on Takoba Beach as the last rays of sunset painted long shadows across mountains of trash. He sat perched on an overturned refrigerator, waiting for the world to stop spinning.

Every cell in his body hummed with newfound energy. His skin tingled pleasantly, muscles coiled with untapped potential.

"Holy shit," Isaiah whispered, flexing his fingers. The movement felt smoother, more controlled. His joints no longer clicked when he rolled his shoulders.

He hopped down from his makeshift throne, landing with unexpected grace. The impact traveled up his legs differently—absorbed and distributed rather than jarring his knees.

"So this is E-Rank." Isaiah bounced on his toes, testing his balance. Each motion carried a subtle power that hadn't existed minutes ago. "F-Rank was a water pistol. This is at least a decent BB gun."

『Congratulations on graduating from 'completely useless' to 'mostly useless,'』 Arcan said. 『You've spent 500 AP to achieve the physical capabilities of a Divison 3 athlete. Golf clap.』

Isaiah ignored the sarcasm, too busy exploring his upgraded body. He picked up a rusted pipe from beside the fridge, testing its weight. With a casual flick of his wrist, he sent it sailing across the beach to clang against a washing machine thirty meters away.

"Not bad," he said, grinning. "Not superhuman, but I'll take it."

His status screen showed his attributes had shifted:

Name: Izuku Midoriya

Level: 2 | Title: Quirkless Loser | Class: None | Attribute Points: 120

ATTRIBUTES:

Strength: E (0/50) | Agility: E (10/50) | Vitality: E (0/50)| Intelligence: E (0/50) | Sense: E (0/50) | Aura: E(7/50) |

"120 points left," Isaiah murmured. "Not enough to do much with."

He surveyed the junkyard beach stretching before him. The quest required him to clear 25% of this disaster zone. A few days ago, he would've laughed at the suggestion. Now...it was still ridiculous, but vaguely possible.

Then he remembered his other reward—the five Gacha tokens from the rank up quest.

"Time to cash in," Isaiah said, a hungry smile spreading across his face.

『Don't get your hopes up,』 Arcan warned. 『These are Common tokens. The System's bargain bin. You'll probably get a half-eaten sandwich and four expired coupons.』

"Such little faith." Isaiah stretched his arms overhead, facing the darkening sky. "Lady Luck and I have a special relationship."

『Is that what you call it when she stands you up for dinner and keys your car?』

Isaiah ignored the jab. "Five pulls. All at once. Let's go big."

The beach darkened unnaturally as the digital interface expanded overhead. The sunset vanished, replaced by a vast starry void that shouldn't exist in reality. Five blue stars blinked into existence, hanging in perfect formation above him.

"Now we're talking." Isaiah laughed, arms spread wide as the first star descended.

The blue light streaked toward him, moving in slow motion until it hovered before his face. It pulsed once, twice, then shattered into wisps of shadow that coiled around his ankles before sinking into his skin.

[Silent Steps (Common Passive Ability)]

Your footsteps make no sound when moving at normal walking speed. Effectiveness reduced while running. Duration: Passive.

The second star descended, flashing brighter than the first. It exploded in a burst of pure style, materializing a pair of sleek black sunglasses that landed gently in Isaiah's waiting palm.

[Charismatic Sunglasses (Common Item)]

These shades make you look 20% cooler in social situations. Effect: +1 to Charm in daytime negotiations. No effect at night.

Isaiah slipped them on immediately. The world took on a slightly darker tint. "How do I look?"

『Like you robbed a gas station convenience store,』 Arcan replied flatly. 『They literally do nothing except make you look like you're trying too hard.』

"Aesthetic is everything," Isaiah countered, adjusting them anyway. "The look matters."

The third star glowed with a greenish tint—different from the others. It descended toward him, spinning faster and faster until it burst into a gout of orange flame that wrapped around his throat, warm but not burning.

[Firebreath (Uncommon Active Ability)]

Exhales a cone of superheated flame dealing 120% Intelligence damage. Inflicts [Burn] for 3 seconds; range scales with Vitality.

Isaiah froze. A memory—not his own—bubbled to the surface. Little Izuku sitting at a kitchen table. Inko's voice, soft with nostalgia: "Your father could breathe small flames. Nothing impressive, just a little party trick..."

If anyone asked about his Quirk, he now had an answer that matched Izuku's parentage. Late-blooming fire breathing, just like dear old dad.

The fourth star looked...off. Its light pulsed irregularly, the color a sickly gray. It wobbled toward him and fizzled out with a wet, sputtering sound, leaving behind a small, sticky puddle that evaporated almost immediately.

[Ceaseless Discharge (Trash Trait)]

Your body produces 500% more of… reproductive fluids and the amount released has increased. Cannot be turned off.

Isaiah's face contorted in disgust. "What the actual—"

『The System caters to all preferences,』 Arcan cut in, sounding equally disturbed.

"Can I return this? Is there a customer service desk for the cosmos?" Isaiah frantically swiped through his interface looking for a way to reject the trait.

『All sales are final.』

"Of course they are," Isaiah muttered.

The final star descended with majestic slowness. It pulsed with deep purple light, clearly different from the others. Instead of bursting, it blossomed like a flower, revealing a core of pulsing energy that spiraled toward Isaiah and sank into his chest.

[Mysticism (Rare Passive Ability)]

Grants the ability to perceive biological Quirk Factors as visible mana signatures. Mana regeneration +10% near active abilities; Intelligence attribute now scales with sensory perception.

Isaiah stared at the description, then threw his head back and laughed. The sound echoed across the junkyard beach, startling a flock of seagulls into flight.

"And you told me not to get my hopes up! I hit the jackpot!"

『...The System must have a glitch,』 Arcan said after a long pause. 『This trait shouldn't be in the Common pool.』

"Don't be jealous that Lady Luck loves me." Isaiah couldn't stop grinning as he scrolled through the trait's description again.

He paused, his expression growing more serious as he considered the Firebreath ability again. The strategic implications were significant.

"If I use this in public," he said slowly, "everyone will assume it's my Quirk."

『That's the idea, isn't it? Your cover story?』

"Yeah, but..." Isaiah frowned. "What happens when I pull something better? If I suddenly start shooting lightning after everyone thinks my Quirk is fire breathing, people will ask questions I can't answer."

He kicked at an empty soda can, sending it skittering across the sand.

"I need a Quirk that can evolve or change over time. Something flexible enough to accommodate whatever the Gacha gives me."

『Or you could just stick with fire breathing and develop your other abilities in secret,』 Arcan suggested. 『Not everything needs to be flashy and public.』

Isaiah paced faster, mind racing. "No, that's too limiting. I need maximum flexibility."

He stared out at the polluted ocean, watching moonlight glint off floating debris. The waves lapped lazily against piles of trash, creating a grotesque parody of natural beauty.

"I'll figure it out later," he decided, checking the time. "Right now, I should head back before Inko starts worrying."
