***
The bedroom darkened as if someone had drawn curtains across reality itself. A single star shot upward from below, trailing silver light as it joined a constellation of digital possibilities overhead. For a heartbeat, it hung suspended, then fractured into five distinct stars, each pulsing with different intensities as they arranged themselves in a perfect arc.
The first star plummeted, trailing soft blue light before shattering against an invisible barrier. Instead of a dramatic explosion, it released a puff of pink, scented smoke that smelled vaguely of roses and something more... intimate.
[NOVICE KAMA SUTRA (Common Skill)]
Basic mastery of intimacy. Prevents awkward mistakes, reduces stamina drain by 10%, and ensures baseline partner satisfaction.
Isaiah blinked several times, reading the skill description. A basic download of carnal knowledge. Stamina conservation during "night activities." A genuine laugh bubbled up from his chest as his eyes widened.
"Well, that's... practical, I guess?" He scrolled through the skill's properties, nodding appreciatively. "Reduces stamina consumption by ten percent. Can't argue with that when I'm blowing loads with Ceaseless Discharge."
『The System has a very strange definition of 'Beginner's Wish,'』 Arcan muttered.
The second star descended with a different quality altogether—purple and potent, trailing wisps of commanding energy. When it burst, Isaiah felt a wave of authority wash over him, as if the very air in the room now bent to his will.
[MY MASTER (Rare Passive Ability)]
You are an excellent master, any servant under you or serving you is more favorable toward you and it is easier to earn their affection. This also applies to submissive people.
Isaiah's eyebrows shot up as he read the description. An aura of command that made loyalty feel inevitable rather than chosen. A psychological signal that appealed directly to those seeking leadership or protection.
"Wait a minute." He glanced back at the Kama Sutra skill, then at this new ability. "First Ceaseless Discharge, next sexual prowess, now psychological domination?" A slow smile spread across his face. "Okay, I see what's happening here. The System isn't even trying to be subtle. It's literally turning me into a harem protagonist."
『You say that like it's a good thing.』
"Message received, I can now do it without guilt," Isaiah said to the ceiling, ignoring Arcan completely.
The third star wobbled as it fell, somehow feeling familiar despite its ordinary blue glow. It opened with little fanfare, revealing a simple wisp of energy that seemed almost... mundane.
[OBJECT ATTRACTION (Common Active Ability)]
You can slowly draw small inanimate objects not attached to anyone toward you, useful for when you don't want to get up from the bed to grab the remote.
Isaiah recognized this ability from absorbed memories—it was identical to Inko's Quirk, the power to attract small objects. His eyes narrowed with cold suspicion.
"Hold on. First I pull Firebreath, which perfectly matches my 'father's' Quirk. Now I pull my 'mother's' ability? What are the odds of that?" His voice dropped to a dangerous whisper. "Arcan, is the System tailoring my pulls based on this body's genetics?"
A beat of unusual silence followed.
『...That is a statistically significant coincidence,』 Arcan finally replied, sounding genuinely perplexed. 『The Gacha is supposed to be random. I'll... file a bug report.』
Isaiah filed away this revelation for later analysis as the fourth star fell. Standard blue, it expanded into a wave of pure presence upon impact.
[LARGER THAN LIFE (Common Trait)]
People feel like your presence is larger than it should be. Even if you are a head shorter than them, it will still feel like you are towering over them. You will never be able to blend in to the crowd.
"This... this actually explains a lot," Isaiah muttered, reading how the trait made him feel unnaturally significant to others.
The fifth and final star descended slowly, glowing with the same purple brilliance as the second. Instead of bursting, it cracked open like a geode, revealing a swirling galaxy within its core.
[ARIES (Rare Familiar)]
Aries is a Celestial Spirit, representing the Aries Constellation. Aries, while not a very skilled melee combatant, is a master in wool magic, being able to conjure and control wool. As a Celestial Spirit, if she dies, she will respawn in the familiar space 1 hour after death. Can be summoned by saying: "Come Forth, Aries!"
Isaiah's jaw dropped. "A familiar? A summon?" He checked the rarity again. "Two rares in a five-pull on the beginner banner?!"
『...The probability of this outcome is 0.0255%,』 Arcan said after a long pause. 『The System is definitely bugged. Or it really, really wants you to build that harem.』
"I'm not complaining," Isaiah replied, staring at the stylized ram's head constellation icon now floating in his inventory. "Let's see what I've got."
He stood in the center of his room. This was his first summon—a creature bound to him through the System. The potential tactical advantages were enormous.
"Okay," he said, centering himself. "Come forth, Aries!"
A silver ring on his finger pulsed once, and a small portal no bigger than a dinner plate shimmered into existence above his outstretched palm. Light spilled from the dimensional tear, and through it floated...
A sheep.
Not a mystical beast of legend. Not a warrior spirit. A small, cartoonishly fluffy, pink-wool sheep. It was fast asleep, a tiny bubble inflating and deflating from its nose with each breath.
Baaa... zzz... baaa... zzz...
Isaiah stared, utterly deadpan. "You have got to be kidding me. I got a sheep."
『I mean, technically, Aries is the ram constellation, so—』
"Not helping, Arcan."
The sleeping sheep, apparently done with levitation, began drifting downward. Its snoring stopped abruptly. Isaiah watched it fall with mounting horror as it headed straight for the hardwood floor.
Pure instinct took over. He lunged forward, arms outstretched, and caught the woolly creature before impact. It weighed almost nothing in his arms, surprisingly light and soft. The scent of lavender wafted from its pink fluff.
"Great," he muttered. "Now I'm cradling a sleeping farm animal. This is definitely how I planned to spend my—"
A brilliant white light suddenly engulfed the sheep, cutting him off mid-sentence. The woolly texture beneath his fingers changed, becoming smooth and warm. The creature's form elongated, curves forming where none had existed before. Isaiah's eyes widened as the weight in his arms shifted, becoming more substantial but still light.
The light faded.
Isaiah was no longer holding a sheep. In his arms lay a girl—a beautiful, delicate young woman with a cloud of soft pink hair, gentle features, and two small, curled horns protruding from her head. She wore a fluffy white woolen dress that somehow managed to be both modest and form-fitting. And she was still asleep, her head resting against his shoulder, breathing softly.
"What the actual—"
Her eyes fluttered open—large, brown, and filled with drowsy confusion. She looked up at his face, mere inches from hers, and blinked slowly. Her lips parted.
"Master...?" she whispered, voice soft as a summer breeze.
Their gazes locked. One heartbeat passed. Two. Three. Her cheeks suddenly bloomed with crimson as the situation registered—her proximity to a strange man, her cheek against his chest, his arms around her body. Her mouth opened wider, clearly preparing to scream in surprise.
Isaiah's hand clamped over her mouth quickly. His other hand shot up in the universal "shhh" gesture.
"Please don't scream," he whispered urgently. "My mom is right next door."
The girl's brown eyes widened even further, but she nodded slowly against his palm. Isaiah carefully removed his hand, keeping it hovering near her face just in case.
"Who—who are you?" she whispered, voice trembling. "Where am I?"
"My name is Isaiah or Izuku Midoriya," he whispered back, still holding her. "You're in my bedroom. You're my... familiar? Aries?"
Recognition dawned in her eyes. "Oh! You're my summoner!" She wiggled in his arms. "Could you... put me down, Master?"
Isaiah quickly set her on her feet, stepping back to create distance. She immediately dropped into a formal bow, pink hair cascading around her face.
"I am Aries, your loyal familiar," she said softly. "I pledge my existence to your service, Master."
"Okay, first rule," Isaiah said quickly. "Call me Isaiah or Izuku in public."
Her face fell. "Have I displeased you already? I'm sorry! I'm so sorry!" Tears gathered at the corners of her eyes.
"No, no, you haven't—" Isaiah started, then froze as footsteps approached his door.
"Izuku?" Inko called, knocking gently. "I heard voices. Are you on the phone?"
Aries and Isaiah stared at each other in silent panic.
"Uh, yeah, Mom!" Isaiah called back, gesturing frantically for Aries to hide. "Just... video chatting with a friend from school about the homework!"
"Oh, that's wonderful!" Inko replied. "Which friend?"
Isaiah's blood ran cold.
Aries looked around desperately for a hiding spot, then pointed at herself, then the window, making a jumping motion. Isaiah shook his head violently.
"It's, uh, a new friend," he improvised. "You haven't met them yet."
"Well, invite them over sometime! I'll make snacks!" Inko's voice grew fainter as she moved away from the door.
"I will!" Isaiah called back, then collapsed onto his bed, running a hand through his hair. "That was close."
Aries stood awkwardly in the middle of the room, fidgeting with the hem of her wool dress. "I'm sorry for causing trouble, Mast—I mean, Isaiah-sama."
"Just Isaiah is fine," he said automatically, then paused. "Actually, no. You need to call me Izuku."
She nodded earnestly. "I understand, Izuku-sama."
Isaiah sighed heavily. "This is a problem. How am I supposed to explain a horned sheep-girl to my mother? She'll have a heart attack."
Aries bit her lip, looking genuinely distressed. "Should I... leave?" The thought clearly pained her. "I don't want to cause problems for my Ma—for you."
Isaiah studied her for a long moment, calculating potential risks and benefits. A loyal familiar with unknown abilities versus the complications of hiding her existence.
『You could always claim she's a transfer student with a mutation Quirk,』 Arcan suggested.
『This world is full of people with physical anomalies. Horns are practically normal.』
Isaiah's eyes lit up. "That's it." He looked at Aries. "How would you like to be my sister?"
"Your... sister?" Aries repeated, confusion written across her face.
"Adopted sister," Isaiah clarified. "You're a transfer student with a sheep-based Quirk who needs a place to stay. My mother is the kindest person alive—she'd never turn away someone in need."
Aries clasped her hands together. "I would be honored to be your family, Izuku-sama!"
Isaiah smiled, already planning the conversation with Inko. "Then it's settled. Tomorrow morning, we introduce you to mom."
He paused, suddenly realizing something critically important. "Wait, what are your abilities? What can you do?"
Aries brightened. "I can produce and manipulate wool! It can be used for defense, offense, cushioning falls, entrapping enemies—"
"Perfect," Isaiah interrupted. "Harmless, versatile, and cute. Mom will love you."
Aries beamed at the praise, a faint blush coloring her cheeks. "I will do my best not to disappoint you!"
Isaiah nodded, satisfaction settling over him. His 400-point gamble had yielded two rare pulls and a collection of useful abilities. Plus, a loyal familiar who would follow his every command.
"Get some rest," he told Aries, gesturing to the bed. "You take it tonight. I'll sleep on the floor. Tomorrow, we convince my mother to take you in and then we continue training at the beach."
Aries looked horrified at the suggestion. "I couldn't possibly take your bed, Izuku-sama! I'll sleep on the floor!"
『This is going to be a long night,』 Arcan commented dryly.
Isaiah couldn't help but agree.
