Jasmine's POV
"Are you seriously going to pretend nothing happened?" Emilie pressed for what felt like the hundredth time since I walked into the office that morning, her elbow jabbing into my ribs as we exited the conference room.
I kept my gaze fixed straight ahead, refusing to meet her knowing smirk. Heat crept up my neck despite my best efforts to maintain composure.
"There's nothing to discuss," I said through gritted teeth, clutching my documents tighter against my chest.
"Right," she drawled, clearly unconvinced. "Because I definitely imagined seeing your palms pressed against his chest, and those muscular arms of his wrapped around your waist. That was totally professional behavior."
"Emilie."
"Yes, boss?"
"Find something productive to occupy your time."
Her delighted laughter echoed down the hallway as she practically bounced away, thoroughly satisfied with my reaction.
