What?
Luis folded his arms across his chest, his expression leaving no room for argument. "You heard me perfectly. You're coming home with us."
"Just for a few days," Lina chimed in, moving to stand beside him with that determined look I'd learned to fear.
"I appreciate the concern, but I'm perfectly fine," I insisted, backing toward my front door. "I just need some space to process everything alone without dragging anyone else into my mess."
"Too bad." Stephen appeared at my elbow with supernatural speed, already reaching for the door handle. "We're already dragged in. Let's go pack your things before I lose my patience."
I pressed my palm against my forehead, feeling a headache building. Aunt Naia had never allowed me to spend even one night away from home since we only had each other in this world. My exhaustion made protesting feel impossible, so I allowed them to escort me inside, secretly hoping she would refuse like always.
