My mouth opened, but silence filled the space where words should have been. I struggled to comprehend what Stephen had just announced.
Marriage? This soon?
Lina blinked rapidly beside me, her head tilting as if she hadn't heard correctly. "Hold on, did you just say how many weeks?"
"Just a couple of weeks," Stephen repeated, that boyish smile spreading across his face while his arm tightened around Harry, who gazed at him like he hung the moon and stars.
My eyes found Lina's, and we shared the same unspoken question hanging between us like a heavy cloud.
I forced myself to speak past the tightness in my throat. "Isn't that rushing things a little?"
Stephen's gaze shifted to me, his expression softening but remaining resolute. "We've spent our entire lives searching for each other. Now that fate has brought us together, why should we waste precious time? The Moon Goddess never leads us astray."
