Jasmine's POV
I managed a gentle smile, though my heart hammered against my ribs as I stared at what Naia had drawn.
"It's beautiful, sweetheart," I murmured.
"Can we stay here together?" Jeffrey asked through a sleepy yawn.
"Of course, baby," I whispered, my voice catching as I glanced once more at the picture.
A chill ran down my spine.
Without thinking, I opened my arms wide, and both Naia and Jeffrey scrambled into my embrace. Their warm little bodies pressed against mine, offering comfort even as my mind spiraled with confusion. Their closeness anchored me to the present moment.
Naia held the drawing against my chest again, as if making sure I understood its importance. Still cradling them both, I carefully shifted back against the pillows and asked softly, "Naia, sweetheart, can you tell me more about your dream?"
She looked up at me with those serious eyes, her dark curls framing her face as she nodded solemnly.
