"We got information on where Oleander is," Dante said.
My heart skipped.
I tore my gaze away from the smile on Dante's face and looked instead at the ten deltas standing rigidly behind him and the unmistakable anger burning on Celina's face.
"H…How?" I stuttered.
Was that person from last night sent by Dante?
But I hadn't caught any familiar pack scent on them. It had been different. Unfamiliar.
Now it was obvious. He had sent someone to trail me and someone else to search for Oleander.
I looked back at Dante. The smile on his face widened. "I have my ways," he murmured.
My fingers curled into fists beneath the table. That wasn't the answer I had expected. Especially not after the letter earlier.
The one Grandma said was clearly addressed to Oleander.
Shit.
I shouldn't be here.
