Chapter 5 - Chapter 5: Platform Nine and Three-Quarters? More Like a Spatial Anomaly!

"Much better," Zhang Ming murmured, satisfied. He then simply stepped through the wall as if it were mist.

Molly Weasley, who had stayed to ensure he made it, stared open-mouthed at the spot where he'd vanished. The wall had... glowedfor a second. She shook her head, deciding it was a trick of the light.

On the other side, the scene was pure chaos. A magnificent, scarlet steam engine—the Hogwarts Express—puffed smoke, while owls hooted, cats meowed, and students shouted goodbye to their parents.

Zhang Ming's first thought was: A steam engine? How... quaint. And environmentally inefficient.

His second thought was interrupted by a panicked shriek.

"Help! Somebody!"

A round-faced boy—Neville Longbottom—was being chased by a furious, screeching owl. Harry was trying in vain to call it back. "Hedwig! Stop!"

[Magical Creature Analysis: Owl (Female). Status: Agitated. Cause: Unknown magical interference triggering territorial instincts.]

Zhang Ming sighed. He pointed a single finger, not even bothering with a wand or a word. A pulse of pure, calming spiritual energy shot out, enveloping the owl. Instantly, the bird stopped mid-flight, blinked, let out a confused "Hoot?", and landed gently on Harry's shoulder, nuzzling his ear apologetically.

The immediate area fell silent. Everyone stared at Zhang Ming.

"Wicked!" a red-headed twin—Fred or George—exclaimed.

"How did you do that?" Hermione demanded, her eyes blazing with intellectual hunger. "That wasn't a spell! There was no incantation, no wand movement!"

Zhang Ming turned to her. "The spell was unnecessary. The creature's mind was in disarray. I simply... restored order." He looked at Harry. "Your owl is fine. She was reacting to a disruptive energy signature nearby."

Before Hermione could barrage him with more questions, a drawling, unpleasant voice cut through the air.

"So this is where the famous Harry Potter is hiding."

Draco Malfoy, flanked by his two hulking cronies, Crabbe and Goyle, had arrived. He looked Zhang Ming up and down with disdain. "And who's this? Your new bodyguard, Potter? He looks a bit... foreign."

Ron Weasley bristled. "Piss off, Malfoy!"

Zhang Ming simply raised an eyebrow. "Draco Malfoy. Son of Lucius Malfoy. Who, according to Gringotts records, recently lost thirty-seven thousand Galleons in a rather poor investment in cursed Egyptian artifacts. My condolences."

Draco's pale face went sheet-white. "How... how dare you! My father—"

"Is a valued Gringotts client," Zhang Ming interrupted smoothly. "But my account clearance is two levels higher than his. So, if you're here to measure social status, you've already lost." He took a subtle step forward, allowing a fraction of his Golden Core pressure to leak out—not enough to harm, but enough to feel like a sudden drop in atmospheric pressure.

Draco and his goons instinctively stumbled back, gasping. "I... I..." Draco stammered, unable to form words under the invisible weight.

"I suggest you find your compartment," Zhang Ming said, his voice calm but leaving no room for argument. "And tell your father that 'pure-blood' superiority is an outdated concept. True power comes from knowledge. Something you clearly lack."

Humiliated and terrified, Draco fled, his cronies scrambling after him.

The silence he left behind was broken by Ron's gleeful whoop. "Did you see his face?! Priceless!"

"That was incredible!" Harry said, relief evident on his face.

"But how did you know about his father's finances?" Hermione asked, ever the pragmatist.

"Gringotts values discretion, but some information is... accessible, with the right credentials," Zhang Ming said cryptically. He then looked at the group: Harry, Ron, Hermione, and the hovering Weasley twins. "I believe our train is about to leave."

They found an empty compartment, and the moment the door slid shut, Hermione launched her interrogation. "You said you 'restored order' in the owl's mind. How is that possible without Legilimency? And the pressure you exerted on Malfoy—that wasn't a magical duelist's technique! What are you?"

Zhang Ming smiled. These children were sharp. "What I am is a student of... a different school of thought. One that believes magic—or what you call magic—is merely a form of energy. And energy can be understood, controlled, and manipulated directly. Without the crutch of a wand or specific words."

He held up his hand, and a sphere of pure, golden light—a condensed wisp of his true essence—appeared above his palm. It pulsed with a warm, vibrant energy that felt entirely different from the magic they knew.

"The first step is to learn to feel that energy within yourselves. Not as a vague force you channel through a wand, but as a tangible river flowing inside you."

"Can you teach us?" Harry asked, his green eyes alight with a mixture of hope and curiosity. Ron nodded eagerly, and even the twins looked seriously interested.

Hermione leaned forward. "Yes, please. I've read all the textbooks, but they never explain the why, only the how."
