Chapter 15 - Chapter 15: Accidental Firing

The next morning, the sky was still hazy, and the alarm hadn't rung yet, but V was already awake.

On their bed, V opened her eyes.

Good, she slept soundly.

Quietly, she pulled back the covers and got up. Looking at Berry, who was still asleep, breathing deeply, V was very satisfied. Everything was going according to plan.

But, did she really want to do it?

Looking at Berry's cute sleeping posture, V hesitated for two seconds, but quickly firmed her resolve.

Do.

Like a thief doing it for the first time, V braced herself, gently lifting the quilt off Berry and leaning her head closer.

Her black short hair was slightly messy, and her left ear still held the other half of her blue earring. Her delicate small face was closed in sleep, so peaceful, like a work of art.

Getting closer and closer, V felt Berry's warm breath on her face, and her heart pounded, because what she was about to do absolutely could not be known by Berry.

But, it was all Berry's fault.

V, who had been aroused last night, tossed and turned for half the night before finally falling asleep. Berry was lying right next to her, and she couldn't even relieve herself, so she blamed Berry for her insomnia.

Since it was Berry's mistake, it was only right for her to collect a little interest, wasn't it?

V hypnotized and convinced herself that what she was doing was morally sound.

Berry, asleep, was like a child, radiating warmth, and V could clearly feel it.

Small and gentle, V leaned in and pecked Berry's cherry lips. The jelly-like sensation made V's heart flutter.

V swore she intended to do it just once, but upon contact, her body seemed suddenly out of control and couldn't stop. She pecked again and again, savoring the softness of the cherry lips from every angle.

This is the last time, this is the last time.

The thrill of the stolen kiss made V tremble all over. She couldn't think of anything else, deceiving herself with every peck, her eyes fixed on Berry's closed eyelids, terrified that she might suddenly wake up.

However, at this moment, the "sleeping" Berry in V's eyes was tightly clenching her fingers, restraining herself from laughing out loud.

Good sister, stop kissing me. Any more, and she won't be able to hold it in.

Reality isn't a TV drama after all. Berry woke up the first time V stole a kiss. She had intended to pretend nothing happened, but V's relentless pecking, like a rapid-fire cannon, almost made her burst out laughing.

However, if she laughed, V would definitely be traumatized for the rest of her life. So, for V's sake, Berry deliberately lengthened her breathing, pretending to still be asleep.

After a long while, the dust settled. V, wearing her outer clothes, sat on the sofa, clutching her fingers, feeling extremely guilty, and dared not look toward Berry on the bed.

Finally, after stalling for time and forcing herself to wait over ten minutes, Berry pretended to wake up groggily.

"Hi, Sister V, you're up so early today." Berry rubbed her eyes and sat up in bed.

The moment she opened her eyes, Berry saw V's flushed earlobes. Her mouth spread into a grin that she couldn't stop, so she quickly lowered her head, pretending to still be half-asleep.

"Ah, yes, I woke up a bit early today." The guilty V had sweaty palms, staring at the black screen of the TV, unable to look away. The memory of what just happened felt like torture by fire.

Her movements had been so obvious just now. She wondered if Berry had noticed. If she had, what should she do?

"Mmm-hmm~" Without replying, Berry was in a good mood, humming a little tune as she cheerfully walked to the bathroom, leaving the increasingly anxious V alone on the sofa.

Did Berry find out or not? From last night until now, Berry had been ambiguous every single time, and V was being tormented to death.

She didn't dare to come clean directly; if Berry hadn't noticed, wouldn't that be equivalent to confessing without being asked?

Inside the bathroom, Berry covered her mouth, giggling mischievously.

V's appearance just now had made her burst out laughing. She realized now that V, this good sister, had been interested in her for a long time.

But, did it have to be so secretive?

Even so, Berry couldn't stop smiling, and she felt a sweet warmth in her heart.

She never expected that V, who was like a Handsome T, could be so shy.

Wait, Handsome T?

Looking at the Cute Girl in the mirror whose smile bloomed like a flower, Berry froze instantly.

Why did something feel off?

Everything was clearly so wonderful. V was cool and handsome, the kind of cool Girl every boy liked. She liked V, and V liked her. Wasn't this double the happiness? But why did she feel strange now?

Looking at herself in the mirror, Berry slowly opened her mouth wide. She seemed to understand what was wrong.

The active and passive roles were reversed!

Berry finally recalled the most primal fear in every male heart: the fear of being topped.

Given her current appearance, V's affection for her definitely wasn't the kind a woman feels for a man. What kind of affection it was, became self-evident.

This V character, she wouldn't be trying to top her, would she?

Berry clutched her head, staring incredulously at her surprised reflection in the mirror.

This realization instantly terrified her, completely disrupting her thoughts. She couldn't form a single logical connection in her mind.

This feeling was like confessing to a Cute Girl, and the Cute Girl shyly lowered her head and sweetly accepted, but before you could even celebrate, she told you she wanted to play Fourth Love.

Berry's limbs went numb, and she completely froze. It was as if she had been targeted by a beast, and a huge, inexplicable sense of insecurity washed over her.

As usual, Berry made breakfast, but from start to finish, the two remained silent, not exchanging a word.

Burritos and coffee were placed on the table. The only sounds were the clinking of cutlery and plates, and swallowing, along with the morning news on TV reporting on highway shootings and corporate acquisitions. But neither of them paid any attention.

After eating, the cans were crushed and thrown into the trash, and the plates were washed and put back. Now, the two finally ran out of excuses to remain silent.

"Berry..." She must have discovered it. V felt a pang of regret. Her actions must have been too obvious, causing Berry to notice. Otherwise, she wouldn't be so quiet and sitting so far away.

"Whoa..." Berry, hearing her name, made a sound like a startled little rabbit. She turned her head, afraid to look V directly in the eye, even though V's face was still so beautiful and her figure so alluring.

But Berry could no longer view V as a target to be conquered. Now, in every way, she felt like the hunted prey. Thinking back to V's strange behavior last night and their interaction this morning made Berry's face burn.

Looking at it from another perspective, wasn't this exactly the mentality she had in her previous life when pursuing Girls? Except now, those tactics were being used on her.

Berry's mind was a mess. Her feet scraped against each other, and she subconsciously gripped her pants, falling into a state of utter helplessness amid the silence between her and V.

Perhaps Berry didn't even realize how much she resembled a young Girl flustered by a lover's confession. The only comment for this situation was: she was doomed.

In human emotional connections, there is always a dominant party, and this is especially true in romantic relationships. When one partner is nervous and helpless, the one who is less nervous regains confidence and composure, becoming the leader in the relationship.

It should be said that humans inherently possess the potential tendency to either submit to or dominate others; it just depends on which one you grasp.

And now, Berry's situation was dire, because when V realized Berry was shy and flustered, V herself became less nervous. The confidence and boldness of a Mercenary instantly returned to her.

Looking at Berry, who was practically shrinking into a ball on the sofa, seemingly terrified by the slightest movement, V smiled, bolstered her courage, then tucked her short hair behind her ear and stood up to sit beside Berry.

"V!?" The confused Berry only realized something was wrong after V sat down. She instinctively tried to get up, but V pressed down on her shoulder with a hand, making escape impossible.

"It's okay, Berry, look at me..." Her chin was lifted by slender fingers, revealing V's fair and beautiful face, like that of a female celebrity. This lovely face, seen day in and day out, now looked incredibly familiar. Recalling all the care V had shown her in the past, this face seemed so affectionate and gentle that it was impossible to raise any guard.

Especially those blue eyes, mysterious and profound like the sea, captivated Berry's entire mind.

The insecurity and confusion she felt about being conquered slowly melted away under V's gentle, loving gaze, like a trap wrapped in sweetness, coaxing Berry to fall into it. And she certainly fell for it.

High attack, paper defense—that's how you'd describe someone like Berry. Always running her mouth, but when V, this True Lesbian, pinned her down, her brain just froze, leaving her completely at V's mercy.

And V, without any instruction, immediately saw through this.

Since Berry was acting so provocatively in front of her, she couldn't be blamed for making a move.

Watching Berry in her dazed state, V's lips curved into a charming smile. It seemed the time to visit Viktor could be pushed back a bit.
