but inside, he was suddenly very alert.

A small pouch materialized inside his dimension storage.
He felt the warm, pulsing life-force through the fabric.

(Heals any injury as long as the body is intact
BUT drains ALL stamina → forced rest)
Damian almost smiled.
This… this is huge.
He didn't need them for himself—
he healed fast, fought smart, and rarely got critically wounded.
But Batman—
and especially her…
Barbara Gordon.
The original Batgirl.
Damian's chest tightened.
He'd read the files.
He knew how Joker took her legs.
And he knew she put on a brave face every day, working as Oracle.
If I can give her even a chance…
He swallowed.
Sensu beans can fix what the world says is impossible.
This reward mattered.
This one he was excited about.
Reward #2 — Ebony & Ivory (Devil May Cry)
Two iconic pistols manifested in his dimensional inventory.
Sleek. Beautiful. Powerful.
Energy-based bullets that drain stamina instead of ammo.
Damian admired them…

He muttered internally:
Cool weapons… but I'm not a gun guy.
He wanted swords.
He wanted close combat.
He respected the craftsmanship—
but he wasn't Dante.
Still…
He knew who would treasure these.

The future Red Hood.
Right now, Jason was still in a coma of memories and trauma.
Not yet reborn as Red Hood. Not yet angry.
But in a year?
When he emerges and confronts Bruce?

"Damian," Batman said, voice sharp but shaking,
"you're coming back to the Manor.
Tonight."
Raven, still holding his shirt, frowned.
"Bruce—"
Batman raised a hand.
"No more running.
No more disappearing into shadows.
No more secret wars."
He looked at his son—
his expression equal parts fear, frustration, and fierce love.
"I thought I had time before the world swallowed you whole.
I was wrong."
Batman stepped closer, cape dragging across the molten floor.
"I'm taking you home."
Damian stared back, expression tight.
Raven squeezed his arm gently:
"…Maybe listen to him."
But Damian Has Something to Give First
He reached into his dimensional storage—
and pulled out a single Sensu Bean.
Batman stiffened.
Zatanna blinked.
Nightwing leaned in.
Damian spoke calmly:
"I found these on a mission weeks ago. Rare.
They can heal any wound as long as the body's whole."
Batman's eyes narrowed.
"Where did you—"
Damian cut him off:
"You can ask questions later.
Just know this—
you should keep one.
For emergencies."
He handed it over.
Batman hesitated—
then slowly took it.
"This could save lives," Bruce whispered.
Damian nodded once.
He already knew who two others were for:
Barbara Gordon—
Oracle.
Even if she didn't want to fight again,
she deserved the choice.
Raven Looks at Him Softly
"You're a good person, you know that?"
Damian snorted.
"No. I'm practical."
Raven rolled her eyes.
Batman almost smiled.
Zatanna Breaks the Moment
"Oh my god—
are we seriously having a family moment after the Gray Son just disintegrated?"

Raven still holding onto his arm.
Zatanna staring at Raven possessively.
Nightwing whispering to Starfire:
"Bruce is freaking out internally, isn't he?"
Starfire:
"Most definitely."
And Damian thinking quietly to himself:
Two beans for Barbara…
One for Bruce…
And those guns for Jason, when he returns.
