High above the skies of the burning city of Gotham. Beyond the dark clouds, was a newly crafted and still highly unfinished space station in low orbit that belonged not only to Wayne Enterprises on paper but in truth to a team of mighty heroes—no not those ones.
The other ones.
"Ahem!"
Superman cleared his throat before lifting a Wayne tech data tablet with one hand. Around him, a group composed of the Earth's mightiest heroes sat around a U-shaped table in front of him.
"Thank you all for coming to this emergency meeting. Before we get to business I'd like to start by calling roll, "his voice rang out firm and clear as he began to read from the tablet in his hand.
"Wonder Woman."

"Present," The Amazonian demigod nodded at the Kryptonian, who returned the gesture. She'd just returned from another one of the countless diplomatic meet-and-greets up in Washington DC when suddenly she had received the call to the watchtower.
Before that, she'd also been looking into some tales she'd heard of other more hidden tribes of Amazons including possibly one hidden away by the gods themselves.
Now however like everyone else, she's dropped everything to attend this meeting and has been helping put together some things alongside Superman and a few of her other sources for it.
"Red Tornado."

"Present," The crimson android simply nods at the others as he is called. The red robot had been studying the remains of the latest model of Professor Ivo's Amazo robot in his own personal laboratory after the latest incident. A few years ago several pieces of Amazo were stolen by Professor Ivo's flying monkeys on behalf of the Light. However, once the machine had been recreated and activated it was destroyed shortly after by the teenage team of superheroes known as Young Justice many members of which would later go on to become founding members of the Teen Titans.
"Martian Manhunter."

"Present," The green Martian said in his usual monotone voice. J'onn J'onzz had recently gotten back from a meeting with Martian Man on how the two of them were going to handle human-Martian relations. And like the green and white Martians. Green Martians like John and yellow Martians like Martian Man had gotten along rather well. The only problem being that Martian Man himself had been stripped of his birth name and exiled from Mars under classified conditions.
"Green Lantern Hal."

"Right here," Hal said smirking and pointing an emerald green construct of a thumb at himself.
"Green Lantern John."

"Here," John rolled his eyes at Hal's antics. They had already been working together all day out in space but basically the moment they got back to Earth this emergency meeting was called.
"The Flash."

"Hey everybody," Flash waved his hand at the group with a smile before bumping Hal in the side with his elbow.
"Hey!" Hal glared at Barry who put on his best poker face causing everyone to look at Hal crazily. Seeing their gazes Hal grumbled something only Superman could hear and deliberately decided to ignore.
The young monarch of motion had been studying case files of a strange series of disappearances that had been going on in Central City. He'd decided to clean up and head over to Star Labs for more answers when he got the call. Luckily for him, they'd managed to get the zeta tubs working recently.
"Hawk Girl."

"Here." She says curtly chewing and then blowing a pink bubble of gum. She'd been on her way back home from visiting her late great-aunt Shiera Hall's memorial in the Hall of Justice when she'd gotten the call. Needless to say, she wasn't in the best of moods as of right now, and judging from how tightly she was gripping her mace she was in the mood for a fight. Fortunately, she wasn't as reckless as her great-aunt and was much lazier.
"Aquaman."

"Present," Arthur said, tapping his great golden trident that rang through the room like a tower bell. The multi-pronged weapon was glowing faintly with a small trace of divine power akin to that of Diana the elementally distinct.
Arthur had been having a relaxing family dinner with Mera and Orm when bed gotten the call. The three of them had been making plans for the upcoming summit of the seas. All seven kingdoms of Atlantis would be meeting alongside the King of Talokan.
A proper summit of the seas hadn't happened in a very long time and the only way there would be true peace amongst the seas was if it worked out. Especially after Orm had sparked so much hatred between the people of the sea and the surface. But as far as Arthur was concerned his half-brother and had been getting along much better even after Orm had murdered their mother. Besides they both knew the truth depth of the danger out there. The two had both seen the types of giant monsters waiting below the depths.
They'd seen one such beast in the midst of their final fight for the rule of Atlantis.

Their main topic of discussion now though was how to tolerate Namor's presence long enough not to start a war.
Speaking of divine power of divine power if the two of them subtly radiated a similar kind of divine power, the next person called by Superman practically irradiated it in all types of forms.
"Shazam."

"Hey everyone," Shazam yawned it was far past Billy Batson's bedtime and he had to sneak out of the house just to be here. Besides, there were the other members of the family still at home so if anything went wrong in the city they were still there.
"Dr Fate."

The lord of order simply nodded his helm and emitted a subtle golden aura about himself. The self-proclaimed doctor wasn't doing much of anything as the call came. Kent Nelson had simply been taking another day to grieve his wife and that was it. He was honestly surprised to have lived so long but the years and days seemed to continue without end. Baby usually told him it was simply because it wasn't his time to die. There was still so much to do and although he longed to reunite with his old friends in the Justice Society, Diana had convinced him to keep up the good fight.
"As for Superwoman, my sister is currently off-world and Batman is currently in Gotham City."
Superman made a few quick types on his tablet and a holographic screen appeared in the middle between the League members.
"Now let this meeting begin."

"As you all know over the past 4 hours Gotham has been under a state of severe rioting and criminal activity. As of so far we have been unable to contact Batman directly however we have contacted right-wing and Batgirl who have both confirmed this. Within those 4 hours, the city has suffered severe damage but it has also been the source of unusual seismic activity," Superman turned around to the hologram screen in front of him which displayed a map of Gotham with yellow orange, and red rings coming from around it.
The projector in fool in front of him shifted the image to show known indicate the locations of several people including Batman and other members of the Bat-family in Gotham as well as a few others.
"As of right now outside of Batman himself the only member we have inside of the city is Giovanni Zatara. According to him not only has the entire city descended into chaos but the seismic activity isn't the only problem. He's detected traces of a very powerful magician possibly a champion of Chaos magic."
The moment Clark finished his last sentence Nabu clenched his fists with rage and the only reason Dr Fate did not stand up in anger was the restraint placed on him by Kent Nelson.
"So like the purge?" Shazam cut in with one hand raised only for the others to stare at him like he had just done something strange. Billy put his hand back down and chuckled lightly to relieve the tension in the air.
"Kind of and also Billy we will be discussing how you know what that movie is about later young man," Diana said glancing over at Shazam with a frown. Billy giggled nervously and looked to Superman for help since his most vocal advocate Bruce wasn't in the room. Clark simply crossed his arms and looked at the young hero sternly.
"Ooooh your in trouble." Hal teased with a dramatic whisper cupping a hand to his face. Hal grinned as John shook his head next to him and Barry covered his face with a hand to stop himself from chuckling.
"It seems Shazam, is not the only child in the room today," Red Tornado said staring eerily at the group of chuckling men. The two men awkwardly cleared their throats and looked away while John's frown just deepened. Tornado's head rotated back over to Superman as the Kryptonian started speaking once again.
"I will go!" The magical lord of order narrowed his eyes and leaned forward. The mention of chaos magik had incensed him.
"Fate please, be patient my friend. I understand your desire to fight against chaos however our understanding of the situation is limited," Firm yet calming Wonder Woman butted into the gung-ho statement of Fate, and to the surprise of several at the table, the golden magician didn't argue against her.
"Thank you, Diana. Furthermore, according to Nightwing several Light operatives have been spotted in the city mainly Deathstroke whose goals seem unknown. This seems to all be some sort of diversion put in place by Black Mask to distract people from his true goals including the bounty on Batman," Superman gestured to the screen as the aforementioned villains appeared on it.
"There has also been an emergency session of Congress called in regard to the situation. Although nothing has been confirmed according to Wonder Woman's connections in the DC military action and possible excommunication of Gotham City from the United States as a whole," Superman said as he pulled up another image.
"That seems like an extreme measure," John said stern suspicion filling his tone.
"Exactly, and it is my personal belief as well as a few of the others who helped us come to this conclusion that this is more than likely not a major distraction from whatever scheme the light has going on," Superman said, stepping back a bit and looking around the room to see several other members nodding along with him.
"There has also been talk of a particular senator named Robert Kelly pushing for a project to be supported in full by the US Government," Wonder Woman said.
"Let me guess he wants to take the Sentinel program to the next level," John said with a grimace, beside him, Hal and Flash both sighed in exasperation. Sure they'd both encountered Sentinels before but you'd think after they were almost used to kill the president that the program would be shut down.
"Indeed," Diana responded, she understood their frustration better than anyone as she had been there personally to help with the Sentinel situation.
"I know that Batman is very selective as to which heroes he allows into Gotham city but as of right now I see the preliminary beginnings of a serious crisis event going on. As such I would like to put forward the motion to lift the ban placed on league members entering Gotham City and motion for a full-scale Justice League response for the very first time," Superman cut in so they would get back to the main topic at hand.
At that, there is a much more noticeable level of hesitation in response to his words and he understands why. Batman himself has made it very clear as to why he wants no other heroes entering Gotham City. He even went as far as making sure that after the X-Men incident five years ago, groups like The Seven, SHIELD, Argus, and the Guardians of the globe couldn't interfere there through multiple means. Some much more morally grey and underhanded than others.
So after a few more minutes of discussion, the vote came to a head.
"All in favor of lifting the ban on Gotham City."
Superman said lifting a hand. The others looked at each other for a few more moments before one by one they lifted their hands. Wonder Woman, Aquaman, The Flash, both Green Lanterns, Dr Fate, Shazam, Red Tornado, Hawkgirl, and Martian Manhunter all unanimously voted in favor of lifting the ban.
"With the ban lifted I'd like to go over who should be a part of the team sent. Not all of us can go as we still need to have members on standby for other events. I'd also like to request a team be sent to investigate the goings on in Washington further," As soon as Superman finished speaking Wonder Woman stood up.
"I volunteer to lead the mission in Washington myself. If the Light truly is up to something covert in Washington I believe it would be best that someone with pre-existing connections in the capital take the lead of the operation."
"I'd like to volunteer for this covert mission. If all are willing I'd also be able to create a mental link for communication," Manhunter stood up as well. The other members nodded one by one and soon enough they all agreed.
"I believe my skill set would prove most helpful here rather than Gotham," Red Tornado spoke up standing up like the others.
"I believe it best that I remain on standby. I do not think my skills would be best used in either situation, as such I volunteer to stay and monitor the situation in the watch tower."
Superman and the others nodded at his statement and moved on to the next topic.
"Also believe it best if I stay out of the situation. As you all know a major meeting between the sea kingdoms will be happening and it's important that I am there. So unless another emergency that requires my immediate intervention occurs it would be best if I stayed out of the situation," Aquaman said also standing up.
"I understand," Superman nodded and looked at the rest of the group.
"With that done let's decide who should be on the team to enter Gotham." Looking at the others who leaned in, Superman asked one last question as well.
"So do I have any volunteers?"

'So this is what a quirk feels like. I honestly wasn't expecting this and having a mutant ability but this feeling,' I clenched my fists and the shimmering white aura coming from them intensified but more than that I felt a strange sensation coming from them. It wasn't cold or warm but more like a vibration mixed with an electric tingle. The aura around me swirled like a combo of a fresh breeze and intense smoke.
Then making an educated guess I unclenched my fists and peered through the smoke at my attacker. He was massive-scaled and after a bright electric charge that caused him to roar in pain, was charging right at me teeth first.
Weaving backwards to avoid a bite I floated up and away with a small burst of anti-gravity and got a good look at my new foe.

King Shark, as in the fucking shark demigod. Just my luck that I'd run into a damn shark man on my very first heist. Even so, I also couldn't ask for a better test subject for my new power.
"Enough with the games let's get to it," With a burst of wind from my foot I shot forward.
I pulled in the odd feeling in my fist and suddenly remembering Kevin Eleven for some reason I pictured my hand forming into a giant spiked mace and only a moment later it actually transformed into one.
Slamming the shark monster in the face with my newly enhanced fist.
BAM!
The shark man went rocketing across the yacht, skipping across the now dented wood floor. Wooden panels and shards spewed everywhere as he crashed into one of the crates surrounding us.
Turning my head I looked to Domino who was currently fighting a group of goons I hadn't noticed swarming in.
"You handle them I'll finish off the shark after that we get the hell out of here with what we got already," I ordered quickly before returning my focus to my opponent. I wasn't the best fighter and even though my new form made me taller and gave me a boost I wasn't sure how much of a boost that was yet.
'I suppose it's time to find out.' I smiled at the massive shark man. At a height of 7 feet to 8 feet with a weight that looked to be about 400 ibs of pure shark muscle, I wasn't sure if my limited fighting experience would deliver me the win but I guessed that my Gacha powers would.
"Got it I'll call the others," Domino said ducking under an ace blow from a hunter wearing a bear pelt before filling his stomach with lead from her twin Uzis.
King Shark came charging out of the broken crate spilling piles of hundred-dollar bills and small guns behind him. Nanaue roared at me attempting a slash with his claws that I ducked. Then I shifted my hands into hammer slammed them into his chest sideways.
CRACK!
The blow landed harder than expected and I was certain now that my new quirk gave me a solid level of super strength and durability something I'd been lacking. Then stepping towards the fallen demigod two hunters approached me. One charged at me with a massive glowing axe in hand and the other with slashing twin blades.
Taking a bit of a risk I shifted my hands into twin shields and blocked the blows. Although I was pushed back by their weapons I got off without a scratch.
Having tested my durability I blasted away the two of them with a shock of lightning and wind. The two stunned goons screamed and flew away as the king of sharks roared and charged at me again.
"You know when it didn't work the first two times why would you try it again?" I questioned as the massive muscular fish man suddenly leaped and double hammerfisted down at me.
'So he did change it up,' I thought, amused as the clap of my hands and a quick popping sound allowed me to blink away from the attack and appear behind him. A quick lightning blast shot the demigod forward into another crate as I swiftly turned around and started to collect the scattered money and weapons into my inventory.
"You RAAAAAAH," Nanaue roared again as the electric collar tased him. Looking over my shoulder I realised something that in hindsight seemed obvious. He wasn't doing this of his own free will instead it was that collar that was forcing him to attack me. So with that established, instead of killing the man-shark, I decided on simply knocking him out or seeing if I could remove that collar from his neck, or both, whichever came first.
Besides he could hardly begrudge me wanting to try out my new strength from my new quirk considering he was actively trying to eat me.
Against his will yes, but he still was, and I cannot let that go unanswered now can I?
So in the name of justice and science and definitely not just me wanting to play around ahem I mean experiment with my new powers.
I had to kick his ass a little… for science of course and no other reason… mostly.
Turning on a dime, charged right back at the Shark monster who responded in kind. Extending my arm in the shape of a pillar, my silver arm darted right between the charging rows of King Shark's razor-sharp teeth in a blow that knocked several of them up.
Then sharpening it into a hook I lured in my pre-cough enemy and smashed his nose with my other hand shaped as a hammer.
"GRAAAAHHHH!!!"
Yep, definitely a transformation-type ability. But some quirks definitely can be argued to bleed into other categories and I'm almost certain my ability isn't limited to shape-shifting limbs.
With a quick nod, I pulled my hook hand back and tested out my new enhanced strength. With a solid pull and throw combined with a quick application of anti-gravity sent Nanaue flying into the air like a fastball.
POP!
Snapping my fingers I blinked up above his body deactivated anti-gravity and struck the shark man's collar with a lightning blast.
KZZACK! CRACK!
"GACHA BITCH!" I yelled wildly, as the shocking blast dented the shock collar thoroughly but didn't break it. The shock wave from the blow however along with the stunning pulse of force from the electricity sent the demigod plummeting downwards. Quick as a bolt of lightning, King Shark fell to the yacht surface, punching a hole into the boat.
'Man I'm getting pretty good at this magic stuff' I thought as I stood in the air with Light Step. A combo of that ability, my anti-gravity, and wind magic had basically given me the ability to fly and I was getting better with it each time I used the combo. Hell, I barely had any time to study the damn book but I had learned plenty of magic so far completely unassisted. I was still undecided on whether or not to try and find a magic teacher but I might not even need one if I continue to make such swift progress.
The shock collar was still intact though and that was the important part of this fight. I could see how it would drive King Shark mad with pain every single time he even tried to speak and how it caused his eyes to roll back and go white like how sharks do when they attack. The Hawaiian demigod clearly was not in control of her actions and I wasn't going to let him remain enslaved to a mad man like Kraven.
"Hmm, seems I'll need to do a little more than," I uttered as I looked down at the dark hole. Switching out my shade cloak I quickly checked what abilities I had active. I currently had a total of twelve abilities but only 7 slots I could use and I thought my current setup wasn't too bad.
"Status," I called out and quickly the Chaos Gacha system appeared.

Then looking down with thermal vision I noticed King Shark starting to stir and Kraven entirely missing. Domino had already made her way off the ship and back to the rendezvous point with the others. Freeze was the easiest of them to see considering he was both a giant cold spot in my vision and he was also firing off beams of ice at people holding off waves of goons.
"Well this job's gone to shit but it looks like I've still got a few options plus I still got plenty of money." Humming slightly, I closed my eyes in thought for a moment before deciding it was probably best to call it here and cut my losses. At first I was only hoping for money but when that goon had mentioned Black Mask had also been importing other advanced tech and weapons into the city I was hoping to get my hands on some. That's what the B-team was looking for while I was going to steal more money and rely on Domino's luck to help us pick what we were hoping for.
Kraven ambushing us on the boat hadn't been the plan at all, nor was the fact that he had a small army of hunters waiting for us below deck.
Clicking my tongue and crossing my arms I blinked back down.
POP!
In an instant, I stood above the downed shark man. The demigod pulsed with writhing waves of stunning electricity and the collar on his neck steamed where the blow landed first. Making sure there would be no sudden Scream-style Ghostface attack where he got up and bit me last second like a bad Jaws reference, I sprayed Nanaue with a mix of Holothane gas and sleep powder for good measure.
'Thanks poison factory,' I smiled as I floated down slowly.
DING! A notification sound came from the system but I ignored it for now and kept heading towards King Shark.
Then coming closer the thought crossed my mind.
'Should I kill him? It'd be so easy. He's down, defenseless, helpless. One proper attack or dosage of enough poison and he's gone.' But as the thought passed through my mind I saw the corpse of Victor overlaid on his downed form and the guilt hit all over again.
'No,' I shook my head ridding myself of the thought. 'Besides he wasn't even doing all of this of his own free will. Besides killing him would probably piss off his shark god dad right Carcara something or other. If he's anything like the Greeks than its just not worth the trouble. The last thing I need is the Odyssey part 2 up in here. Besides if being black has taught me anything it's that nobody should be treated poorly or punished for things they cannot control.'
Coming closer I rested my glowing hand on the smoking collar and summoned it into inventory. For a moment I thought it might not work since it was on his person but it did.
'Hmm, I wonder if I can absorb someone's costume or armor into my inventory during a fight. That's basically an instant win against Iron Man.' I thought as I summoned it back out into my hands.
'Another strength test.' I gripped the shock collar tightly which bent with relative ease. The light coming off my body intensified the moment I tensed my fists and only grew brighter as the metal came apart.
SHREEEK!
With a shrieking sound, the metal shock collar tore in half and I tossed the pieces to the side allowing them to clatter to the ground.
Now came the hard part.
Watching the rise and fall of the giant Hawaiian shark's chest I started to wonder how in the world I was going to move him out of this giant hole in the boat. Speaking of which, with a quick look around I realised not only were we at the depth of the ship but we were also surrounded by the sound of sloshing water.
With a cursory glance, I realised that I had just hit the mother load in vehicles as I appeared to be in some sort of storage room for them. Different boats were sloshing around in water and a few cars as well as a couple of weird helicopter things.

First I started taking as many of them as I could and by the time I was done, I was rather glad they hadn't filled up all 100 tons of inventory space. To be fair, that is a lot of space and cars don't usually weigh anywhere near that much so I wasn't too worried.
Then after that I returned to Nanaue's downed body and finally checked the system notifications I had been ignoring.

My eyes bulged out, it was my first platinum Gacha ticket. Honestly, I wasn't expecting that considering how easy of a victory this was but I suppose no matter how easy defeating a demigod, even a low-end one, is still something to be impressed by.
"Let's go gambling shall we?" I said with a smile as I landed on the ground next to the unconscious shark man. Deciding to leave the gold and platinum ticket for later I pulled out the two silver advantage tickets.
The tickets were the same as usual the only difference between them and the usual ticket was the word advantage being written on the ticket as well. Taking it between my fingers I tore the first one. Instead of the usual single wheel spin of the system two windows appeared simultaneously and started to spin. The moment the two screens came to a stop I read through them.

"Neat," I said before focusing back on the options. To be honest, I had no need for the tentacles as it was something I could do with Bloom by itself so the choice was obvious to me.
I chose the Outlaw and the moment I touched it, a white light flashed and the car appeared before me. Specifically, it landed on top of a groaning King Shark. Quickly placing the vehicle inside of my inventory I took out the next ticket.
The only problem is that I'm obviously not old enough to drive, but I have a solid idea of how to solve that problem. So out pulling the second ticket he tore it in half and waited.

If my eyes were shining before they were practically mini suns now. The choice was clear and the moment my lightsaber entered my hands a single tear fell from my left eye.
"This shit is so peak!" I shouted before floating King Shark with anti-gravity again and grabbing him with a giant metal fist. After a bit of effort, I got him above deck and took a hunter geep out of my inventory and laid King Shark atop it attaching him with dozens of rope vines. Hoping in the front seat I started the car turned on the radio, figured out how the Bluetooth worked, and with a combo of wind magic and anti-gravity.
Taking my new flying whip skywards I eventually found myself above the others who had gotten themselves surrounded by a supply crate of hunter weapons.
"LEEEERRROOOYYY JAAANKIIIINNNS!"
I screamed at the top of my lungs with a wind spell to boost the noise as I guided the car down in the middle of the circle. A sonic blast sent the lot of the skull minions and hunters flying away while the rest of my new crew stared at me in awe.
Stepping out of the driver's seat and cleared away the smoke generated from the blast with a gust of wind. I slowly turned to face my team.

Music blasted through the sky as my crew and I drove away into the night sky of Gotham City. King Shark was still asleep on the roof. Mr Freeze was hanging off the side of the doorless jeep since he was too big to fit inside (that's what she said). Domino and Holly cheered wildly in the back seat flipping off any passerby who saw us as they sang to the Michael Jackson lyrics.
🎶So they came in to the outway

Sounding heartbeats, intimidations🎵
And Selina. She turned to me, she was sitting in the driver's seat now even though I was technically the one moving the car around back towards the dive bar we'd all met at. She turned to look at me with a wide smile.
"So kid how was completing your first heist?"
I took a moment to contemplate all the crazy events that had just happened over the past 2 hours of my life and it felt like the idea that I was truly living inside a world of fiction finally hit me.

"You know what? It felt really good. I could honestly get used to it," The two of us laughed and as we sailed smoothly through the sky I looked up only to notice that for once in my life the smog-ridden clouds of Gotham had fully parted down the middle to reveal the beauty of the moon and stars.
"Hey kid?" Selina asked her eyes set on the giant moon above us.
"Yeah?" I said absently contemplating my new life and all the things I could do with the resources now available to me.
"You said you're an orphan right?"She asked quietly in a way I could tell was meant to spare my feelings from any pain I might feel at that fact. I didn't though it did confuse me as to why she was asking me though.
"Yeah, why?"
"How would you feel about being adopted?"
The shock of her words made my jaw drop and I shifted completely out of my metallic form.
A while later we'd all gone our separate ways but I would always remember that night and I would always remember what came afterwards.

Anyway, this marks the end of arc one I hope you all enjoyed it there will be a few extra chapters to explain some other things in the world after this one. Most importantly I'll be making shorter interlude chapters between the making of this and the next arc as I plan it out for the most part.
I've been writing most of my fanfics in a style where I just kind of write and see where the story takes me so for this next arc I want to try having an actual plan for once instead of flying by the seat of my pants as I have been for a while now.
I wouldn't call myself an experienced or expert writer user on Webnovel, but I think it's time I step up my game just a little bit. Plus I've been lagging on uploads for my other fics as well since I've been so focused on this one.
Anyway, today's song is obviously Smooth Criminal by Michael Jackson sorry for lying at the start.
So as a reward, I'll let you all know that I've decided that, at some point, Kai will have the opportunity or ability to hop between worlds in the omniverse. I'm not saying it will happen soon but it will happen.

Also, I still haven't decided but smut or no smut personally I'm leaning towards smut being in the story but probably skippable chapters. Maybe a warning label in non-skippable chapters because honestly being a smut writer primarily isn't the kind of writer I want to be. One day I want to actually publish my own real book series and that's kind of the whole reason I started writing on web novel which was to improve my writing skills and as much as it has gotten in the way of my real life sometimes my only regret is that I didn't start writing sooner.
Anyway, I'll be taking any questions, suggestions, and requests in the extra chapters between this and the next arc.

Selena laughed at some joke Holly had made as she fumbled with her keys trying to get the door to her apartment open. The moment she did though and stepped through she stopped in the doorway completely shocked still.
"Ha ha… uhh Ms Catwoman what is it?" I said from behind Holly. The pale blonde girl was curious too and as she stepped through the door she also froze. Then at last I stepped through myself and laid eyes on the one man in Gotham I wanted to avoid the most.
"Selina."
Bruce Wayne aka the Batman himself stood in Selina's living room staring at her without a word. Then his eyes switched from her, to Holly, and finally to me.
Tonight for the very first time I came face to face with the Dark Knight himself, an encounter which would change the very course of history as we knew it.
