Reed's POV
My eyes locked onto Kolton. "You actually handed it over to her?"
Anyone familiar with the Zach family knew what that crystal pendant represented. Could Kolton's feelings for Jenifer actually be real?
Kolton's expression hardened, his voice turning arctic. "Shouldn't we focus on rescuing Romano right now? You're wasting time arguing over some crystal pendant? Which matters more—the pendant or Romano's life?"
His cutting words snapped everyone back to the present.
Eliza charged forward and shoved me hard. "Move. Stop wasting time standing around. If something happens to my precious grandson, I'll never forgive you!"
Jenifer grabbed my hand one final time, her voice shaking with desperation. "Buy us time. I'll reach out to you soon." Then she released me.
I couldn't afford to waste another moment. Snatching up the money case, I bolted to my car and tore through the villa gates.
