Chapter 27 - Chapter 27

In the corridor.

John squatted in front of Art the Clown, pulling out a phantom card.

"Detected containment object Terrifier."

"Status: Severely injured, cannot be contained."

This line of information made John a little annoyed, so he added two more shots; anyway, the Terrifier wasn't a good thing and liked to kill indiscriminately.

"Why don't you speak?"

Art the Clown squirmed on the ground; he wanted to speak but couldn't.

"Bang!"

A sledgehammer smashed onto Art the Clown's toes.

"Speak!"

"Tell me, why do you always, always, always, not speak?"

Bang, bang sounds echoed continuously through the building.

John even stomped several times on Art the Clown's injured toes, hurting him so much that the Clown almost spoke.

Although a certain Evil God had said that stomping on someone's toes was a trick only children played.

John knew that the Terrifier possessed an immortal body and would revive even if killed, so he didn't choose to kill the Clown directly.

After hammering for a long time, he was a bit tired.

Art the Clown seemed dead, with blood flowing all over the ground.

Others might have left, but John always had a habit of finishing off his opponents.

After so many finishing blows, he should have died long ago; the problem was that even if he truly died, John wouldn't leave.

This was called spawn camping, or anticipating a respawn.

The phantom card still showed 'cannot be contained'.

How exactly could this monster with an immortal body be contained?

"How about dismembering him and trying?" John scratched his head and muttered to himself.

The Clown's already dead body suddenly twitched, and when he opened his eyes, he found himself tied up with ropes to an iron frame.

John was pulling out various tools from his black plastic bag.

There were knives, hammers, chainsaws, and all sorts of strange little gadgets. It looked like he wanted to dismember the Clown and also search for anything good.

Apparently, besides weapons and some junk, there was nothing.

Although Art the Clown couldn't speak, he could understand human language, and he began to struggle frantically.

He had killed so many people over the years; usually, when he was killed in return, he would just leave. He had never seen such a perverted person who wouldn't even let go of a corpse.

Who exactly was the Terrifier…

John glanced at the struggling Art the Clown, thought for a moment, and pulled out a roll of tape: "You're still not dead like this? Don't worry, I'm just going to study your body's structure. By the way, how can I seal you?"

"Oh, I almost forgot, you can't speak."

The tape was stuck over Art the Clown's mouth.

Art the Clown: "Wuwuwu."

The scene immediately became much quieter.

John began to study various tools and conduct cutting experiments. The Terrifier couldn't be killed, and his combat power wasn't great, so John felt no qualms about researching him.

During the research process.

Tara and Dawn specifically came to thank him and even invited John to their rental apartment to play games.

Hmph, what kind of person was he?

John naturally declined; the main thing was to research the Clown. If he didn't figure this out now, what would he do if he encountered immortal killers like Jason or Michael later? Just stare blankly?

So, research on the Clown was very necessary.

Inside the basement of the building.

To better research Art the Clown, John stopped pretending and directly merged with Evil Spirit Wendigo, activating his second form and starting a frenzied dissection mode.

Art the Clown's eyes widened even further as he watched John complete his transformation.

Through his research.

John discovered that Art the Clown's immortal body seemed to have a limit, and sometimes his recovery was very slow, while at other times it was very fast.

Sawing both halves of his body apart and trying to reattach them also required a certain amount of time.

But if he wanted to throw a leg aside and then kill Art, that would take a much longer time, at least half a day or more.

Pain also existed.

Summary: It was indeed an immortal body, but much weaker than Jason and Michael, with pain and slower recovery time.

It was somewhat of a weakened version. As for cremation, dismemberment, and exorcism, John hadn't tried them yet; he was afraid of losing control.

After all, it was hard to find such a weak Clown for him to research and experiment with; losing him would be difficult to replace.

When Art the Clown woke up again.

The look in his eyes towards John had turned to terror; heaven knew how long he had been tormented.

He was either being tormented or on the way to being killed.

Although Art the Clown had an immortal body, he also felt pain.

Otherwise, he wouldn't have been in so much pain when Tara struck him in the original work.

An entire night!

Was he human?

No, John sometimes really wasn't human.

"Huh, why can he suddenly be contained again?"

John looked at the phantom card, feeling very strange. Which step exactly triggered the containment mechanism?

He thought for a while but had no clue. It was more important to contain him first.

John took out the phantom card and contained Art the Clown into the Five of Clubs. What he didn't notice was the look in Art's eyes in the last moment before being sucked into the phantom card—it was a look of relief.

Once the Clown was contained, Series 6 was completely lifted.

This was also an unexpected surprise.

Excluding the Four of Diamonds and Five of Clubs, there were now a total of eighteen additional empty phantom cards.

It seemed he needed to find time to contain more monsters.

Even if they had no growth potential, they would be excellent cannon fodder.

Next, it was time to check the Terrifier's data.

"Containment Object: Art the Clown."

"Comment: A vengeful spirit from hell, possessing the characteristic of soul-severing immortality."

There was a comment, which was quite good; at least he wasn't cannon fodder like the ordinary Wendigo and Deformed People.

Next, it was time to check his inherent abilities.

"Containment Object: Art the Clown."

"Extractable Abilities: Immortal Body (Incomplete), Instant Movement (Incomplete), Soul Severing (Incomplete), Curse Propagation."

Immortal Body (Incomplete): Slow recovery; faster recovery in unnoticed corners; ineffective and death upon encountering destructive blows.

Instant Movement: In unnoticed corners, your movement speed will be faster.

Soul Severing: A wandering soul in hell, with a chance to revive through soul-severing.

Curse Propagation: Can be spread through videotapes and videos, thereby returning to the real-world node.

So that's how it was.

The moment John saw most of the Terrifier's abilities, he understood.

The Immortal Body was originally incomplete, still susceptible to death from destructive blows, and the slow recovery also matched.

However, even an incomplete Immortal Body was covetable.

Instant Movement was also good; he almost mistook it for teleportation at first.

Faster movement in unnoticed places seemed good for escaping, but then again, for true demons or Evil Spirits, this speed wasn't fast enough.

And there were Soul Severing and Curse Propagation.

Soul Severing should be the reason Art the Clown could revive. As for Curse Propagation, it sounded a bit useless, but if used in the right place, it would be a divine artifact.

For example, if John was trapped in a certain underground cave or a terrifying place.

If a videotape or video happened to be playing at that moment, he could use this curse to escape the danger.

It was equivalent to leaving a teleportation node.

Indeed, containment objects with comments were never too bad.

The Terrifier still had its uses, but in terms of combat power, it was completely incomparable to Evil Spirit Wendigo.

Excited heart, trembling hands.

John immediately proceeded to extract…
