Chapter 32 - CHAPTER 32 — THE DIVORCE THAT SHATTERED THE SMITH FAMILY

The Smith Mansion, once a symbol of power and perfection, felt like it was crumbling from the inside.

Voices thundered down the hall. Servants hid behind doors. Even the walls seemed to flinch as John and Grace tore into each other like two storms colliding.

Grace threw the divorce papers across the room."You wanted this, right?! You think you can humiliate me like this?!"

John's chest rose and fell violently. His once gentle expression had hardened into something cold and tired."You lied to me, Grace. You lied about everything. The pregnancy. The miscarriage. The manipulation. I trusted you."

Grace's voice cracked into a scream."I did it because I loved you!"

John slammed his fist on the table, making Grace jump."No. You did it because you wanted the title of Mrs. Smith. And when you felt it slipping, you used a baby that didn't even exist."

Her face twisted."You think Fiona is innocent? You think she didn't cause all this?! Because of her your family is falling apart!"

John's jaw tightened. "Fiona didn't destroy anything. The truth did."

Grace grabbed a vase and hurled it at the wall, shattering it into glittering pieces."You're choosing her?! After all I did for you!"

"I'm choosing honesty," John snapped back. "Something you never gave me."

Grace's eyes went wild, red with tears and rage."She stole everything from me!"

"No," John said quietly. "She never even tried."

Grace's voice lowered into a dark whisper."You'll regret this. The whole Smith family will."

John stepped closer, towering over her."We already regret letting you in."

She froze.

For the first time, Grace realized — this wasn't an argument. This was the end.

She looked at him, trembling."You're really divorcing me?"

John's expression finally softened into exhaustion."Yes. The marriage ends today."

Grace's knees buckled, and she collapsed onto the floor, sobbing uncontrollably, hitting the tiles with her fists.

John didn't move.

He didn't comfort her.

He simply said, "My lawyer will contact you," and walked out.

The door slammed behind him with a finality that echoed through the mansion.

UPSTAIRS — LIAM HEARD EVERYTHING

Standing outside his father's office, Liam leaned against the wall, emotion burning behind his eyes.

He wasn't thinking about Grace…

His mind was racing toward Fiona.

Her fainting.

Her pregnancy.

His father's slap.

The chaos downstairs.

His hands tightened into fists.

Everything is slipping apart.

And for the first time in years, Liam felt genuinely afraid — not of losing the Smith legacy…

…but of losing Fiona.
