Chapter 11 - Chapter 11 – A Coin and A Conscience

The silver coin stayed in Vicky's pocket the whole way, and every few minutes he checked to make sure it hadn't fallen out. It felt strange having something valuable on him, but he kept cycling without thinking too much.

His "computer class" was supposed to start at 2 PM.At 1:30 PM, he took a turn toward the old market instead of Malviya Nagar.

He had already searched online and found a small pawn shop that wouldn't ask many questions—Shree Hari Pawn & Jewellers. The place looked old even in Google photos.

He stopped his cycle outside, took a breath, and went in.

A small bell rang above the door. Inside, the air smelled dusty, and the shop lights were dim. An old man with big glasses sat behind the counter, cleaning something with a cloth.

"Yes beta?" the man asked, not looking up.

Vicky took the coin from his pocket and placed it gently on the counter."Uncle… I wanted to sell this."

The man picked it up slowly, turning it under the light."It's silver," he said. "Good quality. But design is strange… maybe foreign."

Vicky nodded like he already knew. "It was in my grandfather's old things."

The man squinted at him over his glasses, then went quiet for a few seconds.

"Okay. One thousand rupees."

Vicky almost said yes immediately but stopped himself.

"Uncle, it's pure silver. Thoda zyada…? Maybe fifteen hundred?"

The old man didn't get angry. In fact, he smiled a little."You know silver weight also? Fine. Twelve hundred. Final."

"Done," Vicky said quickly.

The old man counted the notes and handed them over. Vicky thanked him and stepped out of the shop.

Outside, he leaned on his cycle for a moment. His hands were slightly sweaty from nerves, but he relaxed."Twelve hundred. Not bad," he said to himself.

He cycled to the nearest mall and entered the electronics store. He went straight to the second-hand and old-stock section.

The prices punched him immediately.A basic tablet was around 5,000 rupees.Even a used laptop was above 8,000.

His twelve hundred felt very small now.

He didn't bother looking further and walked out quietly.

On the way home he passed a small cyber café. The board said:Internet – ₹30/hour

He paused.

"Chalo. Kaam chal jayega," he murmured.

He parked his cycle, paid for an hour, and sat at one of the old computers. The keyboard felt sticky, but it worked.

He typed a few things like:"How to earn money online secretly""How to hide income""What is shell company"

But the results were confusing or shady. After ten minutes he sighed and rubbed his eyes.

"This is too much…"

Out of habit he opened a gaming forum and started reading random posts. Then he typed a question for fun:

NoobPlayer21:If you could take anything from a game into real life secretly, what would you take?

Replies came fast.

xX_DarkLord_Xx:Lightsaber, bro.

ProGamerArjun:Money cheat from GTA.

But one reply stood out:

CuriousMind99:Money is traceable. You'd need a disguise kit first (like RPG games). Then get an AI companion from a sci-fi game to manage your stuff. After that, easy.

Vicky stared at the screen.

A disguise kit…AI assistant…

He hadn't even thought about any of that.

Suddenly things felt clear. He didn't need to be a hacker. He just needed to use the right games.

And for all that, he needed more coins.Much more.

His twelve hundred rupees were only the first step.

He logged off, stepped outside, and got on his cycle.

Tomorrow, he was going back into GTA.This time, he wasn't collecting one coin.

He was farming them.
