In a dim cave, the hideout of the Oreo clan, Klarg the oreo overlord gazed at the holographic display projecting earth's location. The chosen one is on this pitiful planet.
Gzork, a burly oreo snorted, we will crush them, we will rise and rule!
All the others chanted along with him. Our fog will blanket their world turning them into mindless zombies. Klarg added, not just that, we will exploit their petty divisions and amplify their hatreds. They will destroy themselves from within. The oreos corkskrewed into their warp pods arriving on earth in a flash. They released a pungent grey fog which enveloped cities, slowly seeping into the ait ducts, water systems and subway tunnels. As the fog spread, people began to change . Their eyes turned glassy, their voices monotonous. They matched in sync repeating the Oreo slogan, we will rise! We will rule!
But in Rio, Cape Town and Mumbai, something strange happened. The fog seemed to falter, its effects weakened by diverse populations.
*The Discovery*
The Oreos' leader, Klarg, sat in the darkened control room, surrounded by holographic projections of human DNA strands. "Analyze the data," Klarg commanded, "Find the anomaly."
The mainframe beeped and whirred. Leader Klarg, we've found something. Mixed-race individuals possess a unique genetic marker, a 'hybrid vigor' that disrupts our control frequency."
Klarg's eyes narrowed. "How does it work?"
"Their mixed ancestry creates a... a resonance that repels our fog. They're immune, Leader."
Klarg's face twisted in a scowl. "A weakness. We must adapt."
*The Plan*
Klarg's eyes gleamed with renewed purpose. "Reprogram the fog to target specific racial groups. We will crush the resistance, one cookie at a time."
The Oreos' plan was set in motion, but the resistance was about to get a whole lot stronger...
