Chapter 8 - Seraphina’s Cunning Plan

"How is that young man?"

A soldier bowed. He saluted Seraphina. He knelt with respect. He did not dare lift his gaze.

"We already sent a level 25 monster to kill him. I am sure that by now he has already become a corpse," the soldier answered.

Seraphina turned her body. She patted the soldier's shoulder. She took off her clothes. Then she sat on her bed. Now, she was naked.

She looked toward the soldier who was still bowing. Seraphina's gaze was flat without emotion.

"Good then. You have done your duty well," she said. She climbed onto the bed. She lay there with her back leaning on the end of the bed. "Come here! Enjoy your reward!"

The soldier lowered his head. Still not daring to look at Seraphina. He even seemed to try turning his face elsewhere. His whole body trembled. He knew what would happen to him after this.

"Forgive me miss, I think I am not worthy to receive that reward from you. I think a thank you is enough," the soldier replied.

"You refuse me?" Seraphina's tone became deep and sounded irritated.

The soldier quickly shook his head. "No. It is not like that miss. I just..."

"In that case, I do not need you anymore," Seraphina said.

Suddenly the room shook. A very strong aura pressed the air there. The soldier quickly lifted his head. He realized that he had made a mistake.

"Miss, I did not..."

Braaasssh!

The soldier's head fell to the floor. Then followed by his body. Blood sprayed in every direction. The smell of iron began to spread.

Seraphina clicked her tongue in annoyance. "Damn it. You dirtied my blanket. Fool," she complained.

She got down from her bed. She immediately pulled the blanket that was already splattered with blood. After that, she threw the blanket away. She also kicked the soldier's corpse to push it away from her bed.

"Such an ungrateful person. You should have been thankful because you could enjoy my beautiful body, yet you refused it. Truly unforgivable."

Seraphina raised her hand. She wanted to destroy the soldier's body, but suddenly her room door was knocked on by someone.

Knock... knock!

"Miss Seraphina, can we talk? There is something I want to ask," someone shouted from outside.

Seraphina wanted to get angry, but when she realized that it was Shigeru's voice, she immediately smiled. She licked her own lips. She quickly picked up her clothes again.

"Wait a moment! I will come out soon," Seraphina replied.

She put her clothes back on. After finishing, when she wanted to walk, she clicked her tongue again when she saw the corpse in front of her.

She looked toward the door again. "Can you wait in the training room? I will follow you there."

"Alright. I will go there," Shigeru replied.

Seraphina clicked her tongue in annoyance. She stepped on the corpse of the soldier she had killed. After that, she walked to the door and quickly closed it again.

Suddenly a smile appeared on her face. "I will make you fall in love with me!"

**

Takuya and Lyssia were walking. They were trying to get out of that forest. They walked casually. Not too hurried. Takuya turned to Lyssia.

"Are you strong?"

Lyssia turned. "Am I not strong enough for you?"

"No. I mean how strong are you? I just want to know," Crowne replied.

Lyssia rubbed her chin. She did not know how strong she was because she had not found a comparison she could use. Besides, she had just arrived in this world.

"I do not know, but it seems like I am strong enough to fight evenly against a dragon," Lyssia answered.

Takuya immediately turned. He was shocked by that answer. Dragons in a fantasy world were magical beasts that were very strong. They were among the peak of power in a fantasy world.

If Lyssia could fight evenly against a dragon, that meant she was already extremely strong. Takuya felt relieved because he could rely on Lyssia as a temporary shield before he became stronger.

Takuya patted Lyssia's shoulder. "You are quite strong, but still not as strong as me. But it is good enough for my servant."

Lyssia nodded. "Thank you, Master. I am very pleased to hear that."

"In that case you must..."

Suddenly there was a sound from the right. Takuya immediately turned. He raised one hand, giving a signal to be silent.

There was nothing. He almost walked again, but the sound was heard once more.

"You are truly useless! Just die!" a person shouted.

Takuya frowned. From that voice, he was sure that the distance between him and that person was close. Not more than one hundred meters.

"Did you hear it too?" Takuya asked.

Lyssia nodded. "Yes, there are fifty four people there."

Takuya's eyes widened. He was shocked by that answer. Being able to guess the number of people who could not even be seen by the eyes. That was an extraordinary ability.

"What is happening there?"

"Can you not sense it?" Lyssia asked back.

"I was just testing you," Takuya answered. He was lying.

Lyssia focused herself. She stayed silent for several minutes before nodding with understanding.

"There are thirty nine women being imprisoned. One is being beaten by a man. Three other men are only watching while laughing," Lyssia answered.

Takuya heard that and immediately understood the situation. He often read novels with settings like this. Only one thing came to his mind which was slaves.

It was something normal in a fantasy world.

"Can you defeat them?"

"Of course."

Takuya nodded. "Alright, in that case we will save them."

Lyssia nodded.
