Chapter 7 - Bragging

Last night, Takuya slept soundly. In the middle of the night, when the cold that pierced his skin slowly turned warm, it made him comfortable. Takuya did not know what or why, but he felt one thing, which was something soft.

A few hours passed, and Takuya slowly opened his eyes. His eyelids felt heavy, his body was still sore, and his head was ringing. For a moment, he forgot where he was. Until the smell of roasted meat entered his nose.

"Food...?!"

He immediately sat up in surprise. He quickly turned his head. His vision was still a bit blurry, but he could see the silhouette of someone sitting not far from him.

A girl with long, flowing pink hair that contrasted with the forest around them. Her red eyes, like blood, stared straight and cold at Takuya. In her hand, she held a piece of animal thigh that was still hot.

The girl extended her right hand. "Please eat, Master," she said.

Takuya widened his eyes. "Eeh?"

**

Takuya was shocked. He pinched his own cheek, and the pain assured him that this was not a dream.

"Who are you?"

The girl paused for a moment before answering in a flat yet soft tone, "I am Lyssia the Blade of Silence. Master is the one who summoned me into this world."

Takuya fell silent, furrowing his brows. His brain worked slowly, but little by little the pieces of information began to connect.

"Is this because of Unlimited... Gacha?" He tried to remember. Tilting his head. "Oh right! I did press that before..." Takuya looked around in panic. "Do not tell me that you..." he said while pointing at the girl.

Lyssia nodded. "Correct. You obtained me."

Takuya was stunned. His eyes opened wide. He still could not believe what just happened. His gacha that usually gave trash now gave something interesting, which was an elf girl wearing a maid outfit.

He looked toward his system screen.

[Servant Summoned: 1/???]

[Lyssia has been added as Servant!]

Takuya rubbed his eyes. He still could not believe what was happening. Yet no matter how many times he rubbed his eyes, nothing changed.

[Unlimited Quest]

[Recruit as many servants as possible. Every 10 new servants will grant you a 5 percent stats increase.]

[Limited Quest]

[Recruit one hundred new servants!]

[Reward: Legendary Item, Unique Skill, 1,000 Gacha Points.]

[Next Draw: 15 Hours Left!]

Takuya swallowed hard. This was the first time he saw something different on his system screen. He could not hold himself from smiling.

The mission he just received was very interesting. "With this, I will become strong, right?"

Takuya looked at Lyssia again. She indeed looked like an ordinary elf girl... unless someone noticed the two short swords hanging on her waist.

Those two blades were not ordinary weapons. Takuya did not know how strong those blades were, but he was sure that Lyssia was incredibly powerful.

[Lyssia – The Blade of Silence]

Full Name: Lyssia Calvire

Alias: Blade of Silence

Race: High Elf

Class: Silent Duelist and Calamity Maid

Level: 500

Status: Loyal to Master Takuya Minami

Affiliation: Seven Legendary Maidens of Calamity

When Takuya saw Lyssia's stats, he gulped hard. It was insane. It was like a god-tier character in an RPG game. Level 500 was an unreasonable number.

Takuya did not know if Lyssia's level was considered high in this world or not, but based on several games he had played, this was already extremely extraordinary. He could say it was overpowered.

"Master, where is this place?" Lyssia asked.

Her face was expressionless, but her eyes showed confusion. She appeared in this world without any knowledge of it. The only thing she knew was that Takuya was her master.

Seeing Lyssia reminded Takuya of the moment he first arrived in this world.

Suddenly Takuya stood up and looked at Lyssia with a wide grin. He pointed at her with the meat that was almost finished.

"Alright, I will explain it to you," he said confidently. "But this is a big secret. A very big one. Never tell anyone about this!"

Lyssia stared at him without blinking. "Understood."

Takuya smiled. "Okay, she believes it. Now it is time for... high-class improvisation lies!" He laughed internally. Lyssia only watched him seriously. "I will create my own anti hero storyline in this world. Those idiots will be beaten by me."

"I... am not an ordinary human," Takuya said to Lyssia.

Lyssia tilted her head. "What do you mean, Master?"

Takuya took a deep breath, then spoke with a low and heavy tone, as if it was a burdensome mission. "I am the messenger of the Gods."

Lyssia's expression immediately turned serious. She became interested.

"The Gods sent me to this world for one purpose." Takuya lowered his head, blinking slowly. "I was sent to eradicate an evil that has grown in the shadows for thousands of years in this world. This world has been corrupted. Because of that, the Gods sent me to cleanse everything."

Lyssia nodded. She became excited after learning that her master was a messenger of the Gods. That meant her master was chosen and very powerful.

Takuya continued with a calm yet firm voice, "The Umbra Nexus organization has tainted the kingdom, misguided the kings, and even infiltrated sacred temples. They worship chaos and are now trying to revive a forbidden being, the Ninth Evil King."

"The Ninth Evil King?" Lyssia repeated slowly.

"He is a demon king from the ancient past. He was created from the oldest curse of the Gods, sealed in a shadow dimension, waiting for the time to return. If he rises... there will be no hope. The world will be destroyed."

Takuya looked deeply into Lyssia's eyes. "That is why I was sent down."

Pointing to the sky with the remaining meat, he said, "The Gods blessed me with the power to defeat the Ninth Evil King. Only I can do it and you..." Once again, he pointed at Lyssia. "And you are one of the chosen ones. Because of that, I want you to recruit more members to join us. That is your special task."

Lyssia clenched her fists tightly. "Understood, Master. I will do it." Her red eyes shone brightly, filled with enthusiasm.

Takuya nodded lightly. "Good. I like that spirit."

"Master, does the Ninth Evil King have a name?" Lyssia asked.

Takuya was silent for a few seconds, thinking. Of course he would lie again. He nodded happily when an idea came to his mind.

"The name of the Ninth Evil King is Demon King Ouroboros," he answered.

Lyssia nodded. She would remember that name. She remembered everything her master said. She became so excited that her once cold eyes seemed to shine with spirit.

Seeing that, Takuya smiled. Suddenly his stomach growled. He was hungry, and an idea popped into his mind.

A very delightful idea.

He looked at Lyssia again. "Come with me. We will meet one of the Umbra Nexus members and give them a warning. We will show them that their plan will fail," Takuya said enthusiastically.

Lyssia nodded. She stood up and held her blades. "Are we leaving now?"

Takuya nodded. "Of course. We will go to the royal capital of Valion. We will warn the followers of the Ninth Evil King in our own way."

Lyssia nodded firmly. "I am ready, Master."

Takuya turned around and pointed in one direction. "Let us go!" he said.

As he was about to take a step, Lyssia tapped his shoulder. "Master, the city is in that direction," she said while pointing somewhere else.
