Chapter 17 - Chapter 17:Rise of Supreme Commander

Morning sunlight slides across the street as Jay drives his sister to school.

The city is calm… almost too calm.

As Jay steps out of the jeep, someone calls out:

"Jay?"

Jay turns — Kabir stands there, dropping off his younger brother.

Jay raises an eyebrow.

"I'm dropping my sister."

Kabir nods.

"I'm dropping my brother."

For a moment, both smile faintly—

Two hunters, two siblings, two lives that are anything but normal.

But the peace breaks instantly.

BEEP–BEEP–BEEP.

Both their phones vibrate with the same urgent alert:

"A massive Demon Gate has appeared near Sector-9."

Jay's eyes widen. Kabir doesn't waste a second.

"Let's move!"

Both sprint toward their vehicles—

but even before reaching, Jay halts.

The ground trembles.

A monstrous aura erupts from far ahead, like thunder rolling through the air.

Kabir whispers, trembling,

"W-What kind of aura is this…?"

Jay doesn't answer.

He simply closes his eyes—

and says one word:

"Summon."

The Bloodbound Awakens

A crimson shockwave bursts from Jay.

In a heartbeat—

Blood Army manifests behind him Commander Zarathor appears, kneeling Aetherclaw and Infernal Edge materialize in Jay's hands

Kabir stumbles back in disbelief.

"Jay… how did you become THIS powerful?!"

Jay glances at him coldly.

"No time. Stay close."

He lifts his hand toward the sky.

"Soul Dragon."

A massive dragon made of pure soul energy roars into existence.

Jay, Kabir, and Zarathor jump onto its back—

—and in the next second, they tear into the Gate.

The moment they enter—

BOOOOM

The Gate closes behind them.

Inside the Demon Realm

They land on a barren field outside a massive, ancient castle.

A full demon army stands guard—tens of thousands, armored, glowing with corrupted mana.

Jay exhales softly.

"They're not wasting time anymore."

Kabir grips his weapon tightly.

But Jay simply waves his hand.

"Soul Dragon, dismissed."

The dragon dissolves into particles.

From the dark forest nearby—

demons begin pouring out.

Hundreds.

Thousands.

Jay steps forward.

"Zarathor. Kabir.

First, we clear the jungle."

Zarathor bows.

"As you command, my Lord."

Jungle Extermination

The three rush inside.

Jay moves like a shadow—

one slash from Aetherclaw cuts forests and demons alike.

Kabir struggles to keep up, but Jay's aura alone sends shockwaves that tear demons apart.

Zarathor fights like a berserker general, shredding everything in his path.

In minutes—

The jungle grows silent.

No demon remains alive.

Kabir pants for breath.

Jay doesn't even look tired.

But then—

BOOM.

A pressure so overwhelming descends that the ground cracks.

Jay's diary floats into the air on its own.

New words write themselves:

"Supreme Commander has been summoned."

Arrival of the Supreme Commander

From the castle's top tower—

A gigantic demon leaps down.

The impact creates a crater.

Dust clears.

The demon kneels the moment his eyes meet Jay's.

"My Lord… we have been waiting.

We, too, seek to destroy demons.

We await your command… Jay Bloodbound."

Behind him—

the entire demon army kneels.

The world itself seems to bow.

Kabir is speechless.

Jay's voice is calm, powerful:

"From today… your name is Kaelvius."

The demon bows deeper.

"Yes, my Lord."

The Truth of the Monarchs

Inside the castle, Jay finally asks:

"Tell me everything about the Monarchs."

Kaelvius speaks:

"Twenty-five years ago, our world was ruled by seven Monarchs—

Fire, Wind, Water, Ice, Blood, Beast, and Shadow.

They desired to rule the Human World too."

Jay listens silently.

Kaelvius continues:

"They sent a demon into the human world, disguised as a man.

But when ordered to attack humans…

he refused.

So the Monarchs threatened his wife and child."

Jay's eyes sharpen.

"What happened then?"

Kaelvius lowers his head.

"He killed three Monarchs… alone.

But afterward… no one knows what became of him."

Jay clenches his fists.

Arjun's face flashes through his memory.

"… Is there a way to bring someone back to life?"

Kaelvius shakes his head.

"No, my Lord. I do not know of such a way."

Jay looks away.

"One day… I'll bring Arjun back.

That's my goal."

New Power Unlocked

Jay's diary glows.

Page 65 appears.

Stats update —

Strength: 205 Power: 350 Intelligence: 160 Health: 967 Speed: 197

Below it—

A new line forms:

"New Ability Unlocked:

Any demon not your enemy —

you can multiply their power by 3×

and summon them anytime."

Kabir's jaw drops.

"What… even is this diary!?"

Jay sits on the throne inside the castle.

He smiles faintly.

"This… is Bloodbound."

Return to the Human World

Hours later, the Gate reopens.

Jay, Kabir, and Zarathor step outside.

Dhruv rushes toward them.

"What on earth happened in there!?"

Jay glances at the sky.

"My sister will be home from school.

I need to go."

Dhruv blocks his path.

"Jay! First tell me what happened inside the—"

Jay's aura flares—

a silent warning.

"I said… my sister is coming home."

Dhruv freezes.

Jay walks past him without looking back.

The jeep engine revs—

And Jay disappears down the road
