📜 Chapter — The Retreat of the Kings and the Rise of the Giants
As soon as Odin and the other rulers fled the battlefield, a massive hand emerged from the depths of the ocean, reaching out to seize the young dragon…
But before it could succeed, the Dragon King—who had just arrived—swiftly grabbed his son, who was on the verge of collapsing, and unleashed a terrifying blast of fire from his mouth, forcing the oceanic hand to retreat.
Seeing this, the Dragon King glared at the sea and said:
"So it's you… Leader of the Giants."
His eyes ignited with fury—
But he quickly restrained himself upon realizing that the Giant Leader was not alone.
Lifting his son slightly, he took flight…
And within a single second, he had already moved hundreds of meters away at an insane speed!
He had no intention of fighting the giants now, especially with his son injured.
As he retreated, he effortlessly avoided the giants' attacks rising from the ocean, mocking them inwardly:
"These fools still don't realize… that we rule the skies!"
With that, he passed beyond their range and flew back toward the continent of Mira.
Spotting his people along the way, he shook his head and shouted:
"Follow me to the continent of Mira!"
Without waiting, he sped past them.
The dragons looked at one another in confusion…
Surprised by the sudden command, yet they obeyed their king.
Even though deep down, they felt that if they had advanced just a little further, they would have found a worthy enemy to fight…
And they greatly desired that…
But they remained loyal, turning back toward Mira.
Meanwhile, the Giant Leader looked up at the sky with a mocking expression, then turned to the other giants and said:
"I thought the Dragon King came to attack the Giants' child…"
"But it seems he only came to take care of his little one."
The giants burst into laughter—
And the tension that once filled their faces disappeared.
Just minutes ago, they had been deep in the ocean when their leader suddenly shouted and rushed forward in anger:
"The Dragon King is heading toward the child!"
They had panicked and followed immediately…
But upon arrival, they found the young dragon severely injured!
They were shocked.
The Giant Leader had intended to take advantage of the situation and eliminate him…
But the Dragon King saved him at the last moment.
He sighed, then turned to the Elder Giantess and asked:
"Should we go check on the child while we're here?"
She thought for a moment, then nodded:
"I will go alone."
"I sensed those who attacked the dragon… they are from the island where the child is."
The Giant Leader frowned:
"And what of it? Would they dare challenge or attack us?"
She shook her head:
"No, that's not what I mean…"
"I mean they had the power to kill the child when he was born… but they didn't."
"They let him live."
"There must be good intentions toward our kind… and we shouldn't show them hostility."
She continued:
"And don't forget… the dragons are not our only concern."
"We must find allies… or a force to support us in the coming war."
"And I believe this race is strong enough… don't you see?"
The Giant Leader and the others fell into thought…
And soon realized she was right.
But one of them asked:
"Why can't we all go together?"
"Is there something wrong with that?"
She looked at him mockingly:
"Look at your body… the size of mountains."
"If we all go, they'll attack immediately without hesitation."
Then added:
"A large gathering like ours is strange in times of peace… not war."
The giants nodded awkwardly, slightly embarrassed…
They had never thought about such things before.
After all, anyone who saw them in the past either knelt in fear…
Or ran away.
So they never considered how others might feel.
After a moment of thought, the Giant Leader said:
"You're right… go alone."
"You are the only one wise enough to determine whether they will become our allies… or our enemies."
She nodded and began walking toward the island, only minutes away.
Meanwhile…
On Asgard—
Odin stood atop the highest mountain, with the other rulers beside him.
He looked to the sky, raised his hand, and said:
"Spread out… and protect the children."
At once, Hades and the others disappeared.
Odin walked toward the shore…
Waiting for the presence he could feel approaching.
Voices echoed in his mind:
"Do not make enemies of them… make them allies. We need them."
"Asgard is no longer hidden from the world, Odin…"
He nodded slowly, calming himself.
Then—
He saw the massive figure rising from the depths of the ocean.
He smiled faintly and said:
"Welcome to Asgard… honored guest."
