Chapter 147 - Encounter

📜 Chapter — The Encounter of Asgard

As the Elder Giantess rose toward the shores of Asgard, a voice echoed in her ears:

"Welcome to Asgard… honored guest."

The moment she heard it, she let out a faint laugh, thinking:

"It seems this race is not very hostile…"

With that, she surfaced—her massive head emerging from the water, followed slowly by the rest of her enormous body.

Odin stepped back slightly from the shore, giving her space to rise without accidentally crushing him.

Once she was fully out of the water, the small man before her greeted her:

"Welcome to Asgard… may I know what brings you here?"

The Elder Giantess paused, observing Odin carefully before replying:

"Do you truly not know?"

Odin thought for a moment, then sighed inwardly:

"It seems giants dislike deception or long conversations… very well."

He met her gaze—her eyes far larger than his entire body—and said:

"I believe I already know why you're here…"

"Is it for the child?"

"If you seek him without ill intent, we will hand him over to you… after all, he is of your kind."

She shook her head:

"No… I did not come for that."

Then she added calmly:

"I came to make you submit to us."

She studied him closely, scanning him from head to toe, then said:

"What race are you from?"

"I have never seen your kind before… you are certainly not human, nor a giant, nor one of the fae."

She gestured toward his body:

"Your physique is strong… but not like a giant's."

"Your height and beauty are remarkable… but you lack the long ears of the fae."

Confused, she asked:

"So… what are you?"

Odin looked at her calmly and replied:

"I am of the lineage of rulers."

"I am Odin—Ruler of Asgard… King of War, Deception, and Wisdom."

She frowned slightly, thinking:

"Asgard… why have I never heard of such a name?"

But suddenly—

She felt something.

A strange power… emanating from the island itself.

Not from a person…

But from Asgard itself.

Her eyes widened in shock:

"Do you… have a supreme ruler?"

She frowned even more.

She knew of the rulers of the Continent of Mira… and the Demonic Continent…

And even of those exiled beyond this world…

But the power here—

Was unlike anything she had ever felt.

She looked at Odin in confusion—

Only to see him smiling as he said:

"Of course we have a ruler…"

"He is the ruler of Asgard… the one who rules over us rulers."

She fell silent, lost in thought.

Seeing that, Odin spoke again:

"Do you wish to see the child now… or are you here only for my answer?"

She remained quiet for a moment, then thought:

"We must win this race to our side in the coming war… they even have a ruler backing them."

So instead of pressing him, she said:

"No… I also wish to see the child."

"To make sure he is safe."

Odin gestured toward a direction:

"Follow me."

📜 Scene Shift — Dragon Territory

Far from Asgard…

Inside a dark cave…

The Dragon King sat upon his throne, having ordered all dragons not to leave their land.

He also commanded some to patrol the skies—anyone who disobeyed would face severe punishment.

He glared at his wife in anger:

"Look at what you've done!"

"Can't you even control your son?! He nearly died!"

The Dragon Queen remained silent…

She didn't dare respond.

He was right.

She had always protected their son…

Always sided with him.

But now, she realized her mistake.

Her son needed to face hardship.

The Dragon King continued scolding her, then eventually calmed slightly:

"Go."

"Supervise his treatment."

"Use the sacred water to heal him."

Then added coldly:

"And bring that elven saint… the one known for healing."

"Let us see if she truly lives up to her reputation."

His voice turned chilling:

"I want her to heal his eye."

"And if she cannot… burn her."

Tears filled the Queen's eyes as she thought in rage:

"Who dared to do this to my son?!"

The Dragon King glared at her:

"Do not do anything foolish."

"Now go."

She nodded quickly and left.

He sat alone, deep in thought:

"The giants were not the ones who injured him…"

"These wounds… are different."

"And why were the giants even there at that time?"

He paused, then said to himself:

"I will know everything… when my son awakens."

His eyes ignited with fury:

"And then…"

"I will burn anyone who dared to harm him."
