Chapter 24 - Shopping

She then went on to question the business, "So, about this business. How much did you spend on the start up, as it could be tax deductible?"

"$50,000. But that is all attorney fees and business account set up cost."

"So, it's tax deductible. Wait, how exactly do you want the business to operate?"

"Well, I want it to be a mixed holding company. I plan to have it be the parent company to a few other international enterprises. But more immediately to hold the money I will be making from the stock market, that I will not be collecting as personal income."

"Oh, okay. Then you probably don't want to get too technical with the start up tax deductions. Just pay what you owe then fade away."

"Yeah, that was the plan. Well, the plan was really to put most of the money back into the company but, that would mean that I would have to get taxed on whatever I brought back out of said company.

So, I'm thinking that I will just hold onto most of what I currently have and just start over with what is left. That way I can buy the things I need with as little loss to taxes."

"Okay. Well then, I think we are all wrapped up here, I have everything filed and the deduction for taxes should happen by the end of the working day."

"Ok, thank you."

"Of course, have a nice day."

"You too."

So with that I was done with my taxes for the time being.

After paying for taxes and the start up fees, I will be left with $60,285.65.

Remember the $7,264.28 for the 5% of my earnings on the brokerage site. $53,021.36.

I need to allocate some of that to the business account to use in the stock market.

I can wire transfer less than $10,000 per day using my banking app. I will transfer $3,000 to the business account and keep the $50,000.

I plan to use most of that money to buy more computers, external hard drives, satellites, and other various goodies. Though I am sure that money will not last long, especially with how expensive all of that is.

A new top of the line computer cost over $2,500.

An easily available top of the line External hard drive cost $1,700 for a 40 Terabyte drive. Any higher than that doesn't come with a price tag, and is not readily available.

I can easily get a few more StarConnects.

As for anything else that will come later.

I will go shopping tomorrow.

Today, I just need to wait a few hours.

11:00

The business account was finally authorized. I moved the $3,000 to the main account and then sent it to the brokerage account that was connected.

I then opened up the brokerage sites and connected new accounts. I let the AI go crazy again for the rest of the day.

4:00

$3,000 became $7,469.96.

It is not as much as before but it is a start.

The next day I woke up bright and early to get ready for a day of shopping.

I rarely go shopping so this is quite an unique experience for me, especially when you consider how much I plan on spending.

While getting ready I checked to see when the store opened.

WorstBuy opens at 9, but the stock market opens at 9:30.

I really wanted to get there and back before then. But, whatever. I can just do it after.

To make sure everything would go well today, I checked my maximum spend limit.

It was only $2,000. That would have been embarrassing, trying to pay for everything but having your card get declined.

So I changed the spend limit and notified the bank of my expected withdrawal.

At 9:30 I started the AI and went out to the car.

I don't actually have to be there for the AI to work after all.

So, I started the car and drove out of the driveway.

The drive to WorstBuy was about 25 minutes.

Not terrible, but it is an annoying distance to drive.

The parking lot is practically empty, only a few cars scattered here and there. I guess not a lot of people buy electronics frequently. Who could have guessed that?

I make my way to the front entrance to get blasted by the air conditioning.

The inside was just as barren as the outside. Only the occasional movement in the corners of my vision lets me know that there are other people here.

The feeling of the store is very apocalyptic and creepy. No one seemed to care that I was walking around the aisles.

While I was walking around the store I was making a mental note of all of the things I wanted. But I also had to take the cost into account. Because even though I have a lot of money to burn through, electronics are still expensive and I don't have unlimited money.

The things that I took note of were obviously computers, as well as monitors for each of them. With the monitors I will also need monitor arms to hold them. For the computers I will need ethernet cables for them all.

For the ethernet cables I will need an ethernet splitter, that way I can connect all of the computers.

I also managed to find the external storage drives, but the highest storage option was 28 Terabytes. A bit of a shame, however this option is much more affordable.

They had the StartConnect satellites that I needed.

While I was thinking about it I decided that I should also get more solar panels, because the energy cost to run all of the computers will be pretty steep.

I found a few toys I would like to pick up as well, a fpv drone with a VR headset, an actual VR headset, and AR glasses. They are all reasonably priced, or my sense of money has already started to skew.
