Torin, An 11 year old boy, with dark brown hair, wearing navy blue pants, a black tee-shirt, and a red and black jacket, walked down the Professor Blue Oak's lab to get his starter Pokemon. Sure, he already had an Eevee, but he still needed an official starter Pokemon. As Torin walked into the lab, Prof. Blue, who was adjusting some potted plants, looked up at the sound of the door opening. "Ah, hello Torin, I was waiting for you, are you here to pick your starter?"
"Yes, I-" Just as the Torin was about to answer, someone barged through to door, and straight past Torin.
"I get to pick first, right Professor?" Ashley, a girl with long blonde hair, wearing a light blue shirt, and jeans, who is alway bossy, demanded.
Prof. Blue sighed. "Torin got here first, so he gets first pick."
Ashley huffed, but said nothing. Then the door opened again, and Liam, a kid with short brown hair, wearing a dark green shirt, and khaki shorts, ran in, panting. "Am I late?" he asked.
Prof. Blue chuckled. "You made it just in time, now, because Torin got here first, he can pick first," Prof. Blue showed them three pokeballs. "So Torin, which starter Pokemon to you pick?"

Torin stepped toward the Professor. "I choose-" He was quickly interrupted by Ashley.
"How come he gets to pick first? He already has an Eevee!" She complained.
The Professor sighed again. "He got here first, so you need to suck it up." Ashley huffed again.
Torin continued, "I choose, Squirtle."
Prof. Blue picked up a Pokemon the right Pokeball. "Ah, Squirtle, a worthy companion." He said while handing the Pokeball to Torin. He took it, and put it in his pocket.
The Professor looked toward Ashley. "Which one do you want? Bulbasaur or Charmander?"
"Hmmm." She stood there thinking for a few minutes. "I want Bulbasaur!" Ashley held her hand out for the Pokeball.
Once Prof. Blue handed her the Pokeball, he turned to Liam.
"Looks like I'm stuck with Charmander." Liam laughed nervously, as he took the Pokeball containing Charmander.
Prof. Blue turned to a table with three red thin boxes, and a box of Pokeballs. He picked up the red boxes and handed each of them to Liam, Ashley, and Torin. "This is a Pokedex, a Pokemon Encyclopedia that you have to fill by catching Pokemon. You can catch Pokemon with these." He picks of the box of Pokeballs. "You can buy more Pokeballs at Pokemarts for 200₽." He hands 10 Pokeballs to each kid. "Now," He continued, "You can start your Pokemon Journeys! But first, you should tell you parents good-bye."
Liam, Ashely, and Torin walked out of the Pokemon laboratory. Liam ran to his house excitedly, but Ashley stopped. "Hold it right there!" She yelled at Torin. Torin turned to look at Ashley, who had her hands o her hips. "I demand a Pokemon Battle!"
Torin grabbed a Pokeball out of his Pocket and tossed it. "Challenge accepted. Squirtle, Go!" Squirtle came out of it's Pokeball.
Ashley smirked, "Be ready to be destroyed! Go Bulbasaur! Use Tackle!" Her Bulbasaur popped out of it's Pokeball, and zoomed toward Squirtle, going in for a tackle.
"Dodge and use Tail Whip!" Torin shouted. His Squirtle obeyed, swerving out of the tackle's way, and whipping it's tail at Bulbasaur, lowering it's defense.
Ashley puffed. "No, no, no, no! Use Tackle again, and hit this time!" Bulbasaur ran for another tackle, and this time slammed into Squirtle.
Torin shouted to his Pokemon, "Stay strong, and use Tail Whip again!" Squirtle whipped it's tail in Bulbasaur's face again, lowering it's defense even more. "Now follow up with a Tackle!" Torin said. So Squirtle tackled Bulbasaur, dealing a quite bit of damage.
Ashley looked angry. "Tackle! You better win me this battle!" Her Bulbasaur looked confused at her angry, but went to tackle Squirtle.
"Meet it with your own Tackle!" Torin called. Squirtle nodded and flew toward the charging Bulbasaur, and with an earsplitting crack, they collided. Torin's Pokedex rang, and he pulled it out of his pocket.
"Whenever a loud crack comes from a Pokemon Battle, than usually means a Pokemon landed a Critical-Hit, which likely leads the opposing Pokemon to faint." The Dexter said.
Torin looked up to see who landed the crit, and likley the winner.
