When the Strawhats arrived in Rainbase, you know, where they needed to be, they entered the casino. Not all of them—Sanji stayed behind alongside Chopper, causing mayhem in Baroque Works.
As for the real Bon Clay—
Ace was seen watching him. He knew of this man's Devil Fruit, so his logia was always on, just in case he tried something sneaky. Once he was done helping his brother, he would go back on his hunt for Blackbeard.
This guy would never escape. Anyway, Sanji's real goal was to deliver a message to a falcon guy nearby who somehow could tank a nuke and be fine. Yuh, this was his goal—to tell him about the princess. With this amount of info, everything should be fine.
If only he knew he was friends with an idiot.
"Where do we get, for pirates or VIP?" Usopp would ask.
"Well, we are pirates."
That was the reply he got from Luffy.
"What if it's a trap, you dumbass?!" Nami snapped back.
"We are pirates—we're picking pirate." And thus, they chose pirates. And lo and behold, they fell into a trap.
Nami was mad. Of course it was a fucking trap.
This idiot.
Smoker, who was chasing them, didn't even try to attack. It seemed like they were inside a Sea Prism prison.
Oh well.
Usopp thought he was too young to die, and while this was happening Crocodile would look at the Strawhats.
"So you brats are the ones disrupting my plan." Crocodile walked to the cage, looking at them. They didn't seem too strong. Inside the cage, he saw two familiar faces—Chopper's face was missing. Oh well, that didn't matter. A good chunk of the Strawhats was here, plus their captain, so he got them.
"You that Crocodile bastard, let me out, I will kick your ass!" Luffy held the cage, looking angry, shaking it, wanting to box. But he seemed to have forgotten he was a Devil Fruit user, and soon enough he was drained of energy.
"You idiot, did you forget what this cage was made of?" Usopp said, annoyed.
Luffy didn't seem to get it. Damn.
"I should kill you for what you three are doing." Crocodile glared at them.
"Try it, you one-hand bastard!"
Okay, so Luffy really didn't like this guy.
Crocodile, with his cigar in his mouth, looked at the Strawhats. Of course, he was angry—those bastards ruined his plan.
Suddenly, his Den Den Mushi rang.
He picked it up.
"Boss, videos of you are circulating around Alabasta. It seems like the king has—" Crocodile looked annoyed, angry even. He was being caught.
"Let's go, Kairo!"
"Shut up, Luffy!" Nami quickly put her hand on Luffy's mouth, stopping him from saying more. Though Crocodile heard that.
He appeared in front of the cage.
"Who is that, Kairo?"
"Oh, it's no one," Nami said with a wry smile.
"Yeah, totally," Usopp added, lying through his teeth. Crocodile didn't believe it. If he wanted answers, he would have to get it from the Strawhats.
"Remove your hand from his mouth before I cut it off."
And that threat seemed to work. Crocodile looked at Luffy.
"Come on, Strawhat, who is this Kairo you speak of?"
"I have no idea who you're talking about." Luffy seemed really good at rage-baiting people.
And he was also terrible with lies.
Crocodile seemed pissed. Maybe if he beat him within an inch of his life, he would talk. A sand barrier appeared in the cage, separating Luffy from the others.
Crocodile would beat the info out of Luffy if need be.
Meanwhile, outside the cage—
Kairo, as Bon Clay, looked at the mayhem. That was a lot of work. Anyway, he held Vivi before teleporting inside the rebel base.
They all seemed on guard. Vivi was only here to meet with the rebel leader, so he helped with that. With the proof gathered, Vivi showed it to her childhood friend.
By this time, if Kairo had planned it right, Luffy would have failed his part of keeping the fact that Kairo was a ninja secret, and was probably rage-baiting Crocodile a lot now. The two of them were probably boxing. He hoped Luffy could win.
He should be able to, after all. Last time he fought Luffy, he was quite strong—not strong enough to actually hurt Kairo, but strong nonetheless. Kairo's durability was stupidly high by virtue of being a Lunarian. So unless you were stupidly strong, you wouldn't damage him. And it was high enough to tank blows from high tiers, so if in the future he fought an admiral and tanked several blows, this was the reason—he was tanky.
Though the admirals probably all had some variation of Ryo, so probably not. Well, he would bloom, and that was all that mattered. Time to help a princess win over her people.
Kairo kinda just tuned out the dialogue. They seemed to be saying important shit, but that was none of his business. His business as a spy should be over soon. He should join Luffy in the fight in the future.
