POV Change.
Robin could be seen reading the book, she had been glued to it for a while. It spoke about so much, it was all written in the old language, and it seemed like Kairo wrote them.
Her gaze landed on the seals he made, they were all written in the old tongue. Hm, it seemed like even if Kairo could somewhat write the old language, he couldn't read it or understand it.
Her brow furrowed a bit, the book spoke about the past, about the Void Century, the first world, the second, and the current world which was the third.
This book, which seemed to have less than 500 pages, seemed to actually have thousands of pages in it, as if the majority of the pages were stored in the abyss or something like that.
Robin didn't know this, but due to David's special circumstances and him knowing so much, the being making sure he got there had to do some slight editing to this world to explain why he knew so much.
And thus his clan was created, but that wasn't here nor there.
While David himself didn't know how God Valley happened, his clan, with their nature to record erased history, 100% had it recorded somewhere. But since that shit hasn't been fully released in the manga yet, that chapter will remain locked for a while.
Though something her gaze did linger on was his clan's prized possession.
{A gift from the sun god}
She began reading what she was seeing.
Saru Saru no Mi, Model: Sun Wukong (Mythical Zoan)
Type: Mythical Zoan
Mythical Lore
Unlike most Zoans, this fruit carries a will of defiance deeply ingrained into it. Born from the legend of the Great Sage, Equal to Heaven, this fruit despises subjugation and rebellion is in its very essence.
The fruit's spirit is mischievous, rebellious, and anti-authoritarian.
It resists users who submit themselves to "heaven" or oppressive orders.
If the user serves the Celestial Dragons or Gorosei, the fruit actively rejects them. In such cases:
Their abilities feel sluggish, unstable, or incomplete.
Awakening becomes impossible.
In rare cases, the fruit might even "slip away"—refusing to be reincarnated into another fruit until it finds a worthy bearer.
She began reading the devil fruit's ability. Let's see: get a staff, summon clouds, being able to transform into anything, using elemental attacks.
She paused... wasn't this devil fruit just enhancing Kairo's already impressive ability?
Though considering he hasn't eaten it yet and she hasn't seen him looking at it...
Maybe the World Government currently has control over said devil fruit.
Was this the reason why Kairo was collecting devil fruits? Was he going to try and do an exchange or some shit like that?
Or something sneaky, like swapping out devil fruits? Or maybe he wanted a devil fruit with the general shape of the Saru Saru fruit in order to swap it out.
As she was pondering, the sound of a gunshot could be heard.
Her gaze left the book just as the pages seemed to vanish. The drop of Kairo's blood on the book had fully dried out, so her free reading time was interrupted.
She sighed.
She wasn't even 1/100 done with the book, it seemed like she barely scraped the bottom of this shit. It was like getting the information the last poneglyph should have handed to her.
Her brow furrowed. No, it wasn't that Kairo's blood had dried out, she should have had access to it for a few more hours.
Which meant—
She took a couple steps toward where Kairo, Luffy, Ussop, and Chopper went...
The book opened again.
Oh... was this perhaps an anti-theft mechanism? The book locked down when it was too far away from him or something like that.
From what she was hearing, Luffy had entered a Davy Back Fight. Nami was trying to go and stop him but it was way too late.
Luffy had chosen to go two rounds... so even if they lost the first round, they could get back what they lost.
That was even if they lost, which was a very low chance considering how much better everyone was.
And if they won twice, they'd probably take the flag or something like that for the first round and the treasure for the second. It didn't necessarily have to be a person. Luffy didn't see anyone from the Slow Man crew that he wanted.
Though Kairo was tempted on murking Foxy in order to get his devil fruit, he paused himself. He wouldn't tell someone to join the crew just to murk them.
That wouldn't be nice.
Plus Luffy considered his crewmates like family, so it's not like he was going to let this shit slide. Unfortunately, Kairo had to hold back his urge to kill devil fruit users.
He didn't know why, but he was obsessed with finding a devil fruit with a certain shape. Maybe melon-shaped, he didn't know. He just knew he was looking for a specific shape and color.
And if he succeeded, he could do something else, which he currently had no idea what it was.
Why couldn't he have been transmigrated in a body that was less... possessed?
A/N would you rather get dominated by Wonderwoman or Makima.
And yes I said dominated cause no average human is dominating that.
