Hello everyone, this is Fantasy_maniac.
First of all, thank you for reading The Love They Deserve. Whether you've been here since the beginning or just recently found this story, I'm grateful that you chose to spend your time reading something I wrote.
I started writing during the COVID pandemic. Since then, I've written several novels—both original stories and fanfics—but I never managed to finish them. I would lose motivation, get bored, and eventually delete them. At the time, writing was just a hobby.
The truth is, my real dream has always been to create a manga.
Back then, I wasn't confident in my drawing skills, and I didn't have the tools or money to hire an artist. I even looked online for someone willing to collaborate, but I quickly realized that artists deserve to be paid for their work, and I simply couldn't afford that.
Someone once advised me, "Instead of looking for someone else, spend that time learning to draw yourself."
I took those words to heart.
I wasn't always consistent, but I kept practicing whenever I could. Slowly, I improved. Today, I'm finally working on my own original manga, Valhalla's Commoner. I'm writing it, drawing it, and bringing it to life myself. It's still a long journey, but I've finally taken the first step.
Now there is another problem, I wasn't growing any younger.
Truth be told now I'm already 21 years old.
Many people my age are finishing university or starting their careers, while I'm still chasing a dream that might or might not come true. Even so, I don't want to give up without giving it everything I have.
That's why I don't have any option but to open a Patreon.
Starting with Chapter 22, new chapters of The Love They Deserve will be released on Patreon first before becoming available here much later. The membership is $1.50/month, and if you choose to support me, you'll also get exclusive illustrations of The love they deserve and sneak peeks of Valhalla's Commoner, all hand drawn by me.
