Chapter 90 - An ancient relic

Ray was getting checked by a doctor; a few severe injuries were made on his body by Katarina. None of them threatened his life but helped their cover-up.

Their story was simple: the dark lady got in a fight with the rest and left in the middle of it, and both of them used the window to capture the woman, and their leader escaped afterwards.

With Katarina's magic, its illusion was planted inside of her head, and already Ray could hear her screams from outside of the building. Iri didn't care about the rules anymore; she was torturing her in public.

"I can heal my own wounds in an hour, thank you, doctor." Ray dismissed him as he started to move toward the ambulance that Raol and his wife resided in.

"Ray, thank god you are safe." Raol greeted him warmly; he hadn't been injured at all.

"We got really lucky today, but that dark lady is too dangerous." If she really wanted to fight them, Ray doubted that even Jade could do something.

Raol moved to his special recovery chair. "I sent Violet home until she recovers; we should give you a special thanks later."

"I will look forward to it." Ray had a strong guess about what would be the special thanks: "Anyway, they didn't get any information?"

"We got."

The door opened, and three people joined them in the small room. Alexanderia and Iri were both in the nearest area, and Katarina, as the torturer, was the one who made her talk.

Alexanderia's serious tone turned grim. "We will have an emergency meeting between generals, so we should go. Katarina will tell you two the information you need."

Both of them teleported in an instant while Katarina stood alone at the door with her white clothes painted with red.

"So, what happened?"

"Apparently they have an ancient relic that can kill any creature, and it's a one-time use." Katatina jumped straight to the point: "And they have five level 8s as their leaders."

"Any information about their identities?"

"No. Their higher-ups use codes as their title." Katarina sat next to Raol. "Things are about to get messy."

Raol moved a little closer to her. "There is a high chance that an Immortal will come to earth."

Ray nodded. "Yes, but it should take a while; we should stay ready for their next move. She didn't know anything about a headquarters or anything?"

"They had a secret base, and an army is already on its way there." Her feet moved on Ray's bulge. "But you should take a rest."

"Yeah, I should take a few days off." They continued to talk about the small details while they talked privately.

"What is that relic?"

"They said it's crafted by the god of death, but you know stupid stories. However, the most important thing is, it really can kill anyone."

"How many times can they use it?"

"Once. But an Immortal should come down by tomorrow; it's not a small matter, and we should go investigate that boy to find the bunker."

"Do they really have five level 8's?"

"No, they just made it up probably."

Raol stood silent while they talked, until he suddenly said with weird body language, "What do you two plan for tonight?"

Katarina could read his intention, but that didn't interest him; if she wanted a good fuck, Ray was always available. "I have to do some unfinished business."

"I might be available, depending on how Marian would react to the new information." Ray had to skip Marian's training, and that was going to make her really angry.

"If you two have the time, I invite you over for dinner."

"I will tell you if I can come or not in a few hours." Ray took a side eye to Katarina; they had an interview to do too with a special person.

"I should get going. See you." With that, Katarina left them alone in the back of the ambulance.

"Do you have a problem with condoms?" Raol asked out of nowhere.

"Yeah, I don't like them; don't worry, I won't make your wife pregnant." Ray grinned. "Or do you want me?"

"No, no... It's just you knew it's the first time that I want to do it with Violet, so you know..."

Ray stood up from his chair as he made preparations for his teleport. "Don't worry, it's going to be a one-time thing. She's not my type that much; I much prefer Iri."

Afterwards, Ray spent the rest of his day being scolded by Marian about his carelessness and ignorance.

Meanwhile, in a secret room in the underground floors of military headquarters, all ten generals were in full combat mode, ready for a full-wage war.

"It's possible for such a relic to exist, but to activate it, the price should be really high; the slaughters they made might be its fuel." Alexanderia explained to others the relic was in her domain of knowledge.

Hours passed, but none of them knew what to do with the situation; at any second, any of them could die without being able to do anything about it.

"Do we have a choice? Let's just ask for help from an Immortal."

General Armstrong locked his hands together. "I think the same, and there is a perfect candidate."

"Who?"

"Mr. Gold will come to earth in three months."

With the mention of that name, all of them were aware of one thing: a big bloodshed was going to start.
