Lucass lack of sleep came with traits. He didn't feel anxious about starting his job. It gave him an oddly assured appearance. At 7:30 a.m. On this morning Lucas had just eaten his eggs and toast and was preparing for the short ten-minute trip to the office. Standing before the mirror he made the adjustments, to his hair. While he combed it he wondered, 'What kind of cologne do women prefer?' Ah forget it I'll go with my one.
If Lucas excelled at anything it was fragrances. He had gathered them globally for years allocating every paycheck to perfumes rent and basic necessities. He cautiously misted his bottle of "Angels Wisp" on his neck and attire appearing to begrudge each spray of that aroma. Late, at this point.
'For the women. For the women. FOR THE WOMEN I HAVE TO SMELL NICE.' (If it hasn't become clear yet he's a virgin.)
He had on a button-down shirt paired with stylish trousers finished with an adorable bow tie his mom gifted him for his birthday a few months back. The bow tie featured cartoon characters printed on it. Indeed he truly wore that on his first day, at work.
Once done he cleaned his teeth again. Headed towards his vehicle. 'Fresh job, objective. My objective...'
"Not my virginity!" he shouted into the air spreading his arms wide with a grin. It was at that moment he noticed he hadn't spoken it just in his mind.
Lucas arrived at his destination a building displaying the sign "The Beauty Expenses" above the doorway. 'I don't understand why they'd call an office that...' he pondered. While admiring the contemporary design of the building a lovely woman, with silky brown hair pulled back in a ponytail approached him. She donned a brown coat paired with a white blouse and black trousers closely resembling his own attire.
However all Lucas could see were her breasts that seemed just a breath away, from tearing through her blouse. 'Beauty costs, huh...' His mouth dropped open as he observed the woman coming closer.
" here " she murmured with a tempting grin. She behaved as if this was entirely her demeanor. Her chest was thrust forward. Her presence radiated assuredness. Lucas broke free, from his stupor. Flushed as he at last raised his gaze.
In that instant Lucass aim changed. "I must improve." Reality hit him hard. He couldn't talk to a girl without stumbling over his words. He lacked any traits aside, from his scent and even that was something ordinary people naturally had. "H-hey how are you?" he mumbled, looking down.
"Appreciate you asking I'm doing well. I take it you're the member of our office? In that case allow me to present myself. I'm the assistant in existence, Sabrina Cole!" She said the phrase, with lively assurance the ideal formula to make a newcomer enamored.
Luckily Lucas wasn't a typical virgin. He was a virgin, which allowed him to distinguish between insincere and authentic feelings. 'I'm no virgin, ma'am. Hold on... Sabrina Cole? She's, among the three!'
"I'm Lucas Reed, pleasure to meet you." A smile formed on his face as he extended his hand for a handshake. 'First rule to winning a womans heart: skin-, to-skin connection. I wouldn't be doing this if I hadn't applied lotion to my hands earlier but thankfully I did. She's incredibly beautiful. I'll never cleanse this hand again.' He had been anticipating this moment throughout the night.
Sabrina paused briefly failing to see his hand. Once she became aware she. Said sorry as their hands connected. "Shall we head inside? Don't worry they won't bite. I'll introduce you to your colleagues. Show you around the building quickly." She released his hand. Moved ahead.
"Yeah, yeah, o-of course " Lucas replied, rubbing the back of his neck. 'The first step was tougher than I expected. Seems like step two will have to wait until I get better at this.' He broke into a jog to catch up with Sabrina and matched his pace to hers.
...
Sixty minutes afterwards Sabrina concluded her tour and introductions. "Box A3, where could it be, where is it ah there it is!" Lucas settled into his seat. Glanced over the desk. On the surface lay a stack of documents a "Workers Manual," and a black laptop. Beneath the desk sat a box holding a mouse, mouse pad, paper clips and all the other essentials he required.
Every employee had their desk and chair enclosed by walls nearly their height. These walls wrapped around three sides of the worker the name Boxes. Lucas's box was positioned in the front row directly facing the boss's office. 'The Victoria Hale rests before me.' Her office featured tinted windows allowing Lucas a slight glimpse of Victoria Hale's elegance.
'I wish those thighs would envelop me...' From this viewpoint all he could glimpse were her thighs. That was enough to make his mouth water. Then recalling the moment, with Sabrina he quickly pulled himself together.
At present the sole method for me to get the boss's attention is by becoming the best in the office. I once read in a web novel that first impressions are crucial. Is there anyone, in this office who reads web novels?
He quickly browsed the manual. Completed his initial batch of paperwork effortlessly. 'If the tasks are this simple I'll reach the top quickly!' He clenched his fist. Imagined what lay ahead.
"Um pardon me Lucas? Is that correct? Anyway the boss is asking to see you in her office." Lily Carter stood next, to him. She belonged to the trio. Sadly for Lucas she caught him during an inappropriate daydream.
Lucas jolted awake. Flushed. "Uh okay." He attempted a smile. His mind rendered his expression blank and devoid of feeling. He shifted into black and white. Honestly I would well.
'Damn damn damn! Why do I keep going through this?' No matter his efforts, Lilys gentle and pure face kept flashing through his mind. At the time Lily was facing her own inner turmoil.
"That expression... Could I have a thing, for this?" She cupped her cheeks with both palms. Lucas didn't notice her. Even if he had he wouldn't have accepted that he caused her to turn red.
Lucas strolled leisurely along the corridor pondering what to say to keep the dialogue going with the boss. 'One must always be ready and besides I've already completed todays tasks.'
He gently pushed the office door open. Addressed in a cheerful voice.
"Hey, bos-" Interruption, hahaha.
"You forgot to collect your paperwork for today. Since it's your day I'll excuse this error. Just make sure it doesn't happen again alright?" The boss stared at him. Her tone was gentle and forgiving. Her face conveyed a completely different message.
"Welp she's not called the ice queen without reason..." Lucas chuckled nervously. Said sorry. "Wow she surpasses the two by far. How am I ever going to win her hand in marriage?!"
He approached her desk, where the paperwork sat. He barely glanced at it, too distracted by the boss. When he finally looked, his jaw dropped so hard it might have passed through the floor. 'What the fuck?! This is ten times the paperwork I just did, and that took me almost an hour! Will I reach the top... how about will I keep my job??'
