Outside of the rift:
Suits arrive accompanied by a team of 5 with the leader walking in front. They have on combat gear with their guild logo's on them.

When rifts first ruptured space and wreaked havoc on the world, the EVO were scattered everywhere with conglomerates first forming teams and guild's rising from the bottom with sponsorships to then surpass them in wealth.
The government were discombobulated as to what to do, but knew they had a duty to protect the public. Evolved formed and with that came regulations and terms for guilds to able to enter rifts within the country. The guilds were hesitant in listening at first as they overwhelmed the government in terms of power and money, but eventually listened because they were given favourable terms.
Rules were set out so that guilds would have to help the government in taking care of rifts and thinning the herd of monsters that were already available. Soon the guilds found a new spotlight and that came with the love of the public. The fame they received for helping the people made them become idols.
With popularity, less taxation and the availability to purchase rifts, guilds cooperated with the government to make up for the lack of manpower.

The rescue team has arrived and is awaiting to go inside. "Update" says the team lead as he is leading them. "Yes sir" "At XX:XX hours team A entered the rift and several hours..". He continues to give him a run down of everything that has happened.
The team members behind look at the bystanders as they eagerly watch on with a large number from before when Arthur went inside. "What a mess" says one of them and the team leader shouts "WHAT" in fierce and confused tone.
The team member get closer to hear and the team lead puts his hand on head in frustration. "Tell them" says the team lead as the other listen. "At XX:XX hours..". "Not that bit, the part you just told me". "Oh Okay" "An unauthorised EVO went inside the rift". A multitude of emotions shown by the team member ranging from shock and confusion to just straight anger and even laughter.
"Do you check him on.." the team lead didn't finish his sentence and was cut off by the guard saying "Already have it sir" "Here". The guard gets a tablet from his partner and shows him the image of the Arthur, captured on CCTV of the place.
The team lead gets the tablet walks towards his team and they huddle up. "So this is the guy..".
BUM BUM
A rhythmic pulse gets released by the rift and all look towards of it in a state of surprise. Moments later, Arthur steps out covered in blood while holding Sophie. They all looked at his face, with gasps and horror on the faces of everyone there. Arthur feels nothing. Like the world has ended and he has lost a meaningful piece in his life. He has wept so much that it is stained on his face.
Arthur continues to walk, while carrying Sophie. The rescue team lead walks towards him and puts his hand on his shoulder asking "Could you give her to me?". "We will do everything right by her and give her the burial she deserves". Arthur looks at him for a moment with eye of Odin and he stands there holding her, until one of the female rescue team members slowly and gently grabs her.
Arthur stands there and watches as they place on her on the ground and the medical team gives her a check over. In that moment, everyone and everything starts to disappear one by one. Like the painting of dread washes off creating a clear canvas to start again with just him and her.
His mind warps and creates an version of her saying the ending of the voicemail to him "It doesn't matter what anyone says". "You're my Saviour!" she says with a radiant smile that warms his heart.
Meanwhile In reality:
They confirm that she is dead and stand there for a moment. They all look back at Arthur and a huge crack forms in the rift. A few seconds later, the rift breaks into pieces floating in the air like a beautiful firework explosion.
They looked at Arthur for a moment, but got distracted by the rift closure. They look at him again and see the tears slowly flow down his face. The medical team put a white tarp over her body and the backup team arrives.
"Come with us please" they say to him as he stands there lost. He follows them leaving her behind with a pleasant memory.
In the all the chaos and shouting, a single voice screams "EXCUSE ME" as she walks past people and the perimeter getting stopped by the guards. "Please i need to know" she says to the guards pleading.
"DID YOU SEE HIM" "MY HUSBAND" she shouts getting stopped from moving forward. She holds up a picture saying "This is him" "DID YOU SEE HIM..".
The window blows the picture out of her hand as she loses the power to hold it together any longer falling to her knees in tears in their arms. Arthur keeps walking with the team taking him away and steps on the picture without answering her.
A tread mark left over Bruisers face as the wind takes the picture with it.
On the TV inside of the EVOLVED Break room:
"We are here live at the scene of bush hill park, where several hours ago a rift closure occurred. We have not been able to confirm whether or not the individual that went in after them was a Non EVO as EVOLVED have yet to comment."
"Wow" says one employee. "Has he spoken yet?" asks another. The assistant team leader of the investigation team walks by having heard everything "Get back to work" he says to the 2 employees chatting.
They rush off after getting a glance of his eyes. A reaction that been normalized within the department and for the majority of his life.
