Prince Consort Duke Max, now remarried, with his autistic 6-year-old daughter from his late first wife, is still recovering.
Meeting his wife, his new wife, now Her Majesty, Queen of Denmark, he had incurred injuries while saving the lives of her and her sister back, in Port Elizabeth, South Africa, on that fateful day.
With spine and pelvis healing, he has to endure more suffering of his own. His own emotions, past loss of his late wife, physical pain and heartache at not being able to help his new wife by standing at her side and being there.
More surgery causes more delays.
The country hits a turmoil of disaster.
Together, they have to learn how to balance their new married life. Carolyn, as unprepared new Queen of Denmark, which the country needs. Carolyn, as stepmother, to 6-year-old Ashley who needs parental love and attention, and more.
They have to learn how to manage Ashley, the stepdaughter of Queen Carolyn, who is autistic and mute, while hiding her was no longer an option that the people wanted. They fight through the trials and issues, each time rediscovering their love and faith, and through each other, spiritually growing day by day.

She deals with her own troubles and turmoils in life. Before the unexpected deaths of the Late Queen Sophia and Crown Prince Johann, she was just starting to open up her heart to the love, to Philip, who is also one of the Primary Personal Protection Guards to Queen Carolyn. But since the deaths and then funeral, she has shut herself off and buried herself into her job, swearing to serve faithfully and protect her Queen.
Philip watches from the sidelines. He knows her fears, her needs. And why she shut him off. He knows and waits, patiently, praying daily. Praying that one day, they will reunite again. And then, he can ask her that question.
Princess Clementine was planning on departing for America to study further there. But with life, your plans never happen. Then she opens her heart up to the one man she loved for years. Only, what happened afterwards was not what she expected.
This book is the second book of the fictional Danish Royals Series. A fictional Christian based book with Romance, Royalty, Medical, Fantasy and other genres all mixed in together. It focuses on (fictional) characters' lives and their difficulties and how God intervenes, helping them to get through the difficulties.
This is a continuation of: "The Widower and the Princess – Book 1".
If you have NOT read Book 1 of the Series, then it is a waste of time reading this book as you will not get the flow of the story.

I dedicate this book to all of those that dream. Wishing upon the stars and praying for miracles. But more to those that are struggling with cancer, those that are terminal.
May your dreams come true. Even if just a hint of it does. Knowing, while through your troubled times, God is weeping with you, desperately wanting to heal you and everyone else. But since that day when Adam and Eve sinned, that control was taken away. He can heal and would if it was part of his master plan, his will. Only we choose to control our lives, our will, our fate. When the time is right, and all Elsie is changed. Only then we are one with the Lord, and healing can start.
I also dedicate this book to a few people I know of, that have suffered and won the race. While they joined God in heaven, they beat evil at not letting it get the better of them, showing others the joy of living. Experiencing life. Been happy even in the most painful of times. Never giving up. Never forsaking God. Trusting that no matter what, they have a place with him in Heaven, cancer-less, painless, suffering-less. Their names shall not be named, for their identity protection, but I know who they are, and thank them for sharing this with me.
