Jaden unconsciously muttered those words while resting his chin against his hand, his gaze fixed upon the passing streets outside the carriage window as the luxurious vehicle steadily made its way back toward the Infinity headquarters. The rhythmic sound of the horses' hooves echoed softly against the stone roads, yet neither of the two occupants inside the carriage paid the slightest attention to the scenery outside.
Emily sat quietly opposite him with little Stav peacefully sleeping in her arms.
The events that had unfolded outside the Infinity store continued replaying inside both of their minds, although neither of them appeared particularly shaken by what had happened.
