They barricaded themselves inside a dusty distribution warehouse. Silence finally returned.
Lolly panted, hands trembling. "They're getting faster."
Geo nodded. "The mist is mutating them. We must avoid it from now on."
Eko checked his arm—scratched but not bitten.
Lolly noticed. Her face went pale.
"You sure that's not…?"
"It's nothing," he said quickly. Too quickly.
Geo's eyes narrowed. "He's hiding something."
"Drop it," Eko muttered.
Geo didn't.
Lolly sat between them, tension thick enough to choke on.
They rested, but sleep avoided them. Especially Eko.
His arm tingled unnaturally.
And he hid it.
