Dex woke up slowly, his head pounding. His brain hurt so much he thought he might die as memories that were not his own flooded in. A few minutes later, he remembered everything. He had died in that world and now woke up as Dex Marrow.
A blue ghostly window floated before him. He stared at it in disbelief.
"This must be a system," he thought. "I thought reincarnation was only in fiction."
He sighed. "I must be in fiction then. Not that I cared. At least I got a second life."
He looked around and saw the blue status window. It said:

Dex chuckled nervously. "Thank you?" It was funny. All he did was rate a three-star review.
He checked his status and froze.

A supernatural adaptation ability that evolves infinitely. Whenever the user is harmed or affected by any force, a spiritual wheel analyzes the attack and generates the perfect counter. Every adaptation becomes permanent. The ability can evolve against physical, magical, conceptual, spiritual, or fate-related attacks. After enough evolutions, the guardian merges with the user and enhances all attributes to an overwhelming level. The user can never be defeated the same way twice. Using this ability does not consume any resource and can be used infinitely.

The eyes can analyze any power instantly and read the structure of techniques with absolute clarity. At full strength, the user can slightly influence reality to match what they focus on. Using this ability does not consume any resource and can be used infinitely.

[ DESCRIPTION ]
A limitless skill that allows the user to copy absolutely any power, technique, ability, or transformation after seeing it once. Everything copied becomes permanently theirs, fully compatible with their body, and instantly upgraded beyond the original. The user does not steal the target's power. They simply gain their own perfected version and can use it freely without restrictions. Using this skill consumes MP or energy like other skills, so it cannot be spammed infinitely without limit.
Dex stared at the status with a shocked expression, but his smile never left his face. "What the fuck? This is too OP. He made me too OP. Oh well, I'm grateful for this. I should have just rated it five stars."
He thought about the upcoming challenges. "What am I training for? Oh right, my father forced me to attend Heart Academy. Looks like this is going to be hell."
He remembered the system rules. Abilities do not drain him, so he could spam Evolving Apex Adaptation and Infinity Vision as much as he wanted. Skills like Perfect Copy did consume energy, but that was a small price for being able to use them at all.
He checked his stats again.

He grinned. "Motherfucker, I'm OP at this point. I might just be on par with the protagonist."
Dex thought about his family. "My father is Will Marrow, my mother is Lesley Marrow, and I'm a baron's only child. At least I'm not a commoner."
He stood up, walked to his bedroom door, inhaled, exhaled, and said, "Nice to be alive." Then he began walking down the stairs.
