Chapter 19: Late Headmaster
Zein's Point of View....
We were only announced half a day ago because there would be a general meeting held in the gymnasium, and because I'm the secretary, I'm with the SSG Officers. Supremo is talking to Teacher Kath while Onel and I are already seated in front, looking at all the students who don't even bother to make any noise. They are all just seated, solemnly waiting for what this general meeting is for.
The presence grew heavier when Madame Violet and Sir Francisco arrived, both smiling at the students; everyone they passed didn't manage to look at them, as if they would die if they made eye contact with either of the two.
"Good morning, Madame, Master Francisco." Ace greeted them respectfully, even bowing a little. Onel stood up to bow as well, so I stood up too, but I didn't bow.

"Is that how you greet us, Miss Shion?" Francisco asked with a smile.
What do they expect? Me to bow too? Kneel? What are they? Gods? Never, I will never ever bow my head to them, they don't deserve it and will never be. They won't earn respect from me.
"Good afternoon," was all that came out of my mouth.
I guess, that was enough. At least, I still showed respect, even just a bit.
"Samantha..."
I looked up at what Madame Violet said. She's looking at me while grinning. What did she say? Samantha? That's not me, this one must be getting forgetful too. K
"Madame, let's start."
Madame Violet just nodded at Ace before giving him the mic. Madame Violet and Francisco went to the front, so we sat down in our respective places. I waved to Mia and Vanessa who were looking at me. The five of them waved back at me, smiling.
"Focus." I heard Ace say.
I straightened my posture and didn't look back anymore.
"Good afternoon students," Francisco began.
"Today, we gathered to celebrate the 5th death anniversary of the Late Headmaster Dominique Valdez!" Francisco suddenly became lively.
I heard violent reactions from the crowd. In the few days we've been here, this is the first time I've heard the students appeal. It was more like they were insulted by what Francisco said.
"It's delightful that after several years of that stupid leader's rule, we are free, isn't that delightful?" Madame Violet asked.
No one bothered to disagree. Who would be? First, we shouldn't celebrate because the former headmaster died; second, calling the former leader stupid is disrespectful. That's insulting.
"Because of that! We are delighted to announce the biggest event that will happen in Hell University after so many years!"
I don't know why but my heart throbbed at what she said. Biggest event, it will be a bloody one. Is this it? Is this the disaster they say is coming? Is it true? Is the end really near?
What will happen?
"No!"
We all jumped when we heard the shout from the students. We looked back and a bent over, standing guy immediately caught our attention.
"He didn't die! You killed Headmaster Valdez!"
My forehead creased. I looked at Madame Violet and Francisco who were laughing, they even managed to high-five in front of us.
"Who said he died anyway? You are right, we killed him, and you're next." Two men arrested the guy who shouted.
I looked at Supremo but his eyes remained on Madame Violet and Francisco, poker faced as he sat. As if nothing chaotic was happening around.
"Let me go!" He struggled but couldn't overpower the two.
Just because of his shout, he'll be sentenced to death. That seems too much.
"That's too much!" My eyes widened and the pounding of my chest doubled when I saw who was standing now.
"You killed the late headmaster, isn't it the other way around? You should be the ones sentenced to death." Said Vanessa.
Shit!
"We are not stupid to kill ourselves. The foolish one here is that guy," She pointed at the guy being carried out of the gymnasium. "And you." She pointed at Vanessa.
Vanessa's eyes widened when someone grabbed her two hands. My eyes narrowed into slits when I saw them suddenly yank Vanessa's arm causing her to hit the wall beside them.
My heart skipped a beat when I saw how she fainted. That's too much.
I glanced at Ace. He shook his head at me as if stopping me from what I was about to do. Damn! The heat in my body is back again, it's like what happened to Roxane is happening again. I am losing my temper, I am out of control of myself, again.
"Touch her once more, or you will regret it." I said when they were about to touch the unconscious Vanessa again.
I signaled Matt, Jerome, Dave and Mia to carry Vanessa and bring her to the dorm because the clinic here is useless anyway.
"First of all, you have no right to impose a punishment, because only the Supreme Student President can," I started. I've read once the manual of Hell University and according to this, only the president can impose the death penalty "Second, the way you stand in front of us shows disrespect, now tell me, how can you earn respect from us?, and lastly, I am the Supreme Student Secretary and definitely, I also have the power to object to your decisions"
I am just stating the truth that compare to the Hell University Headmaster, SSG President is much more powerful.
"How rude Miss Shion, I know Supremo will approve what I said. Right, President?" Asked Madame Violet to Ace who didn't even speak. "President Ace? What punishment do you think we can impose on the Secretary?" She asked.
I remained silent.
"Punishment? Are you kidding me?" Ace said laughing as he looked at Madame Violet. The smile on her lips gradually disappeared. "Why would I punish MY secretary if she deserves an award?" Asked Ace.
Even I got confused as well. What is the supreme one talking about?
"W-What do you mean?" Madame asked with a creased forehead.
"I mean, honestly, Miss Shion amazed me. Among all my secretaries, she is the only one who knows that only I can impose the death penalty. Amazing, right madame?"
Silence ate the whole gymnasium.
"Ace Craige," Francisco said as if warning the supreme one who just shrugged. Well, this one can't be intimidated anyway, he's probably the one to fear.
"Well, the biggest event I am talking about will happen for a week." Now he's smiling again.
"Let's call it a bloody week, where killing will be legal even in day time. Good luck everyone, I guess half population of HU will be lessen."
