Chapter 20: Together
Zein's Point of View....
My jaw literally dropped when I heard that. I looked into the eyes of Madame Violet who was still smiling at the students. She must be crazy! Bloody hell week? That's insane! It is too much!
I looked at Supremo who wasn't even surprised and seemed to have expected it. I didn't hear any objections from the students either, who were as if biting their tongues and blind to what was happening

"Do you have a problem with that, Miss Shion?" Francisco asked.
"What? Should I be surprised? What do I expect from insane leaders?" I really can't stop my mouth. Honestly, I was really shocked, but if I show fear, they will be happier, nah.
"Stop it, Miss Shion. You must not talk that way to them, they are still higher than us."
I rolled my eyes.
"Yeah, right Supremo. Excuse me." I walked out because I already heard their useless announcement anyway.
What sane leader would implement such a thing? A week of legal killing, even in the morning! UGH! They are really making fun of us. It's like they're just playing with us.
There was no one in the hallway, only the blowing of the wind could be heard. The surroundings were so quiet. This school will be quieter on Monday, what will happen? The flood they are talking about is coming. What are they planning?
When I entered our dorm, Vanessa was already awake, and Jerome was giving her water to drink.
"How are you feeling?" was my initial question before sitting next to Matt.
"Okay now. What happened? Why am I here?" she asked continuously.
I don't know why but I just smiled. She frowned at me and even raised an eyebrow. "What are you smiling about?" she asked which made them all look at me.
"You're scaring us, Zein." Dave said which made me laugh.
I just shook my head. "I was just amazed by you, Van." I started.
"You weren't afraid to speak, to contradict them. You are one hell of a brave person to contradict them." My tone of voice clearly showed my admiration for Vanessa.
I actually didn't expect that one of my friends would do such thing.
"Eh? You're so over the top." she said blushing. Sus! The witch was shy.
"I must agree! I fell in love even more..." Jerome joked so Vanessa hit him on the head, her cheeks were so red.
"You must be awarded." Mia added, laughing.
"Stop it, all of you!" she said while burying her face in the throw pillow she took from her side. We just laughed at her behavior.
"But let's not also forget the secretary..." Matt said, grinning at me.
They all grinned at me, so now it was my turn to feel the awkwardness. Vanessa lifted her head, frowning, oh right. She fainted so she didn't know what happened earlier.
"I know Zein is amazing, but what did she do earlier? Is she the reason why I wasn't sentenced to death?"
"Yes, Zein, saved you from death and awaken us to that rule." Matt answered, clearly very proud.

I just bowed my head in shame. They don't need to say things like this, their praises are just different, it's just too much (OA).
"What rule are you talking about?"
"The death penalty implemented here in Hell University will only be effective if permitted by the SSG President, only Supremo, no one has the power, not even the highest leader of HU, to impose this punishment."
Supremo is really smart. He made that punishment, only he can impose it, only he can abolish it, only him, only Ace Craige.
"L-Like that?" Vanessa asked in surprise. I just nodded as an answer. "Waaah!" I fell to the floor as Vanessa suddenly hugged me.
"I really idolize you!" She shouted.
I just laughed. I'm happy that I saved Vanessa from the brink of death, if something bad had happened to her I would never forgive myself. I promised to protect them, if it cost my life.
"Oh, by the way, our grades are not a problem anymore! Sir Alvarez will take care of it, I've already talked to him!" I happily said.
I expected them to scream, to jump for joy but silence just ate them. What happened? Why the reaction like that?
I was surprised when Mia suddenly hugged me while crying. I couldn't move from the shock. Mia, she doesn't just hug people easily. She doesn't just cry over worthless things but now she's shedding tears. What happened?
"Why, Zein?! Why did you keep a secret from us?" She asked after letting go of me.
"W-what are you talking about?" I asked confused.
I can't understand what they are acting like. What secret is she talking about?
"We already know that you know the secret of HU. You can't leave this place anymore." Matt said, seemingly angry.
I stopped and couldn't speak. They already found out. Who told them? Shit!
"Why Zein?! You help us, you're always the one saving us. Why don't you think about yourself? What about you? What if we get free and you get left behind?! What about you Zein?!" Mia shouted.
I don't know but my tears just suddenly fell.
"I will protect you! I will do everything for you to get out of this hell!"
"Damn! How about you Zein?!" Matt asked irritably.
"What about me? What? I don't care about myself! I accept it, I will die here! They won't let me go anymore! I already know the most guarded secret of HU! How about you guys? You know nothing and I will never tell you!"
"Dr. Quizon." I was startled by what Dave said.
"Secret ingredient. A formula that can bring the dead back to life." Jerome added.
"The one holding the missing ingredient is just around us." Vanessa said.
I couldn't speak anymore in shock.
"That's the guarded secret of HU." Mia said, wiping her tears.
My chest tightened when I realized that they already knew. They already knew the most guarded secret of Hell University. This means only one thing. We will all be locked up in this hell together. Not one of us will be able to get out.
"Now, Zein. We will die together in this place. We will never leave you alone. We will die together."
