Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: Tania's Sleepover (Break In 1)

Tania's entire class had been buzzing over a sleepover that was to happen in a school holiday next week. In fact, the class was so excited that their science teacher completely gave up trying to teach them the Periodic table. In fact, the class was talking about it so often, Tania's phone was somehow still buzzing with notifications even after Tania hit the "Mute Notifications" button.

Finally, after an eternity of waiting, surfing the internet for insane games to play during the night, and stockpiling on sugar canes, candy floss, candies, lollipops, soft drinks, and more goodies to hype on at the dead of night, the day of the sleepover has come. The bus was parked outside the school, and the students loaded their overstuffed luggage in the bus compartment.

Tania and her friends managed to shove in their luggage (which was heavier than all their weight combined) and be the first to hog the back seats, which is their secret party headquarters since the back of the bus is the furthest from those snoopy teachers. Now Tania and her friends, Bugwithnoisywings and I'mdarealHatsuneMiku are playing Rivals from Roblox while trying not to fall off their seats as the bus zoomed around the states.

After dinner, they arrived at the big house where they will be staying for the whole week. Tania, Hatsune and Bug's phone batteries were almost dead, so they let their phones charge while they took turns showering. While Hatsune was showering, Tania and Bug were digging around the drawers in the house. Tania found some money and pocketed it like any other rational student would. Bug was buzzing around the house and accidentally found a safe after kicking a painting right off the wall. Bug tried to decode the password, but after the third attempt resulting in Bug clipping four of her arms, Bug decided the safe was not worth the trouble.

Tania's fourth best friend, Hannahlamhatesnoisyboys, was idly browsing the kitchen when she saw an adorable ginger cat. Sara went to pet the cat, and to her dismay, the cat bit her. Apparently it doesn't like bossy class monitors.

After a while, there was a knock on the door. Out of exceptionally foolish curiosity, Robbystopsatnothingformoney opened the door. It was a pizza delivery man. Someone had ordered an entire set of pizzas, and the class was having a good time with the snacks. All of a sudden, the lights went out, but somehow the TV was still running.

The entire class gathered around the TV. Some sat on the sofa, some sprawled on the floor, some were standing, and some even hung from cracks in the ceiling. The TV screen was black, with the words "BREAKING NEWS LIVE IN 00:05" typed out red.

The moment the timer hit 00:00 a news report started.

"This is not a drill, I repeat, this is not a drill." The news reporter said in a monotone voice, "The Purge has begun, villains are on the loose and should be sighted. Take particular care when it's dark. Do not approach any of these villains as you are most likely going to be killed. Their leader is Scary Larry. He is very dangerous. When sighted, you must either run or hide."

With that, the TV shut off, too.

No one made a noise in the pitch black darkness until Hannahlamhatesnoisyboys told everyone to go to bed. Tania, Hatsune, Bug and Robby crashed into their beds in the Blue Bedroom. Pretty soon, Tania and the others began to doze off.

That's when the quartet heard a crash that jolted them from their sweet dreams.

Two masked men, cloaked in black apart from the white masks, were holding crowbars in their hands. The villains scanned the room, and one of them knocked over the candy tower that the friends had worked so hard to build. This made the quartet mad. If these evil brats wanted the kids' lives, they're putting their own lives at risk.

Tania, who had great aiming, threw a bottle of mascara that hit Ugly Villain 1 in the eye. Bug, who was amazing at Wushu despite only having wings and 6 legs, beat up Ugly Villain 2 so ferociously that the friends almost felt sorry for him. Hatsune had great hand-to-hand combat and repeatedly hit Ugly Villain 1 over the head with a ruler while the latter was defenseless. Robby, as the two villains went down, took their money and hid them in her back pocket.

After the battle, the kids were too energized by adrenaline to sleep, so they sat in silence, playing Monopoly and robbing Robby of the money she stole from Ugly Villain 1 and Ugly Villain 2.

Eventually, morning came and the kids stuck their heads out of the bedroom door. It turns out that the Pink Bedroom was also attacked by those meanies. After a quick discussion, the class decided to board up the entire house. They found a lot of wooden planks from when they last organized a play (which had ended in a complete disaster) and began boarding up everything from the door to a mouse hole. Bug had the nerve to block the toilet seat, too.

Tania was the only one who realized the laptop on the desk was on. She looked in it and saw three sentences.

1. Find all switches

2. You have 20 seconds

3. Jump to quit

It was written in a really creepy font, too.

Brave, adventurous and occasionally stupid Tania decided to try it out. She was presented with a map of the house and had to click 9 gray switches. Unfortunately, the room invasions had taken a toll on her energy. She was slow to click and the laptop slammed shut on her hand.

At night, after another meal of greasy pizza, the lights abruptly shut off. The students stumbled around like blind mole rats trying to adjust to the darkness (Hatsune accidentally stepped on the cat). Then suddenly, there were bright lights coming from a boarded up window.

They peeked through the window and to their absolute horror, they saw dozens of villains holding crowbars, wearing white comedy masks, standing in front of the house, a black van with the white mask painted on was behind the gang.

The students ran off to their bedrooms and tried to get some sleep, weapons ready. They hoped the boards would be enough to hold the villains back, but they were wrong as usual.

Tania and her friends were jolted awake by the sound of breaking wood. This time, it was three ugly villains waving their crowbars in the students' faces.

Hatsune raised a rubber ruler that can do real damage. Bug put on her Wushu uniform (which has 6 holes for her 6 legs and 2 holes for her wings), Robby raised the Monopoly cards, and Tania raised an archery bow loaded with arrows that have pointed tips you just couldn't get out of a pencil sharpener.

Rivals IRL has started.

If the villains were scared, they didn't show it. Instead they ran around the room attacking the students (although most of the time they avoided Bug and Tania).

Tania shot arrow after arrow and one of the arrows snapped a crowbar in half, causing Ugly Villain 1 to go berserk and become an easy target for Bug.

Hatsune used the rubber ruler like a whip, and hit Ugly Villain 2 in the face so hard that she broke his nose despite his mask. Robby folded the Monopoly cards into a boomerang, made it heavy with stones, and threw it as hard as she could. The boomerang curved around in a graceful manner and hit Ugly Villain 3 at the back of the head.

Morning came.

Tania was heading towards the basement to see if they were any goodies for fighting ugly villains when she saw a broken window. She quickly informed the others, and by the time the last student was informed, they heard giant footsteps that made the students' hearts stop cold.

The footsteps either belonged to an elephant or Godzilla. The students ran for it and hid in cupboards. Some nerds hid behind a large drawer, believing that their coordinates from the direction of the basement to the drawer at an exact angle of 60 degrees, along with 70% of the group's average height being 140cm, and the shadow forming from the drawer at angle 72 degrees, will make them impossible to be seen by whatever that thing coming out of the basement is.

To everyone's absolute surprise and horror, what emerged from the basement isn't Godzilla or an elephant, it's Scary Larry.

Tania grabbed MynameistotallynotTanHuiHui's hand in shock, Scary Larry had a key on his back! They silently watched as he hopped up the stairs, key on his back turning, holding a golden crowbar and wearing a mask.

The split second he vanished from sight, the students took off towards the basement, hoping Scary Larry didn't leave any nasty surprises in there. Inside, they found some apples, a ladder and a few weapons. They heard villains thundering down the stairs, and they realized they forgot to close the basement door. Three villains appeared, weapons ready.

The basement was a WWII war zone, except it was little kids who are winning.

Koalabutnotkoalabear lured a villain to the basement bathroom. Right when Koala was cornered, he took the shower head off, cut it so there was only the shower head and a considerable amount of the tube left, held the end of the tube, and swung it. The shower head hit the villain on the back of the back of his head and Koala heard a crack.

Tania had forgotten to take her bow and arrows with her, so she threw a hammer at a villain, and while he was discombobulated, Tania grabbed a ball of rope and threw it towards Hatsune while holding the other end. The two managed to create a somewhat okay slingshot and loaded Bug into it, firing her at a villain and watching the villain go down thanks to the six-legged Wushu fanatic.

Hannah gave the cat a mouse she stole from senile neighbor Uncle Pete and tamed the creature. She picked up the cat, gave another villain a dirty look, and threw the cat onto the villain. The cat climbed onto his head, spitting and scratching the villain as the villain went nuts.

Mistakefrommymomsyouth was running from a villain when she got a brilliant idea. She grabbed the ladder, and threw it at the villain with all her might. The ladder flew at the villain, connecting with his head and sending him into the wall.

Robby now had two boomerangs, one made out of the Monopoly cards and one made out of the Monopoly board. She had found a replacement for rocks: coins. The best part was when she threw the board boomerang, it soared around, hitting an unsuspecting, impulsive villain on the back of the head, and pretty much exploded, coins flying everywhere and rewarding kids who defeated villains while defeating more villains by hitting them perfectly in the eyes.

One of the villains dropped a padlock and Hatsune locked the basement door. They will spend the night in the basement for their safety. Unfortunately, there were only three bedrolls, only some people will be able to sleep tonight.

Thankfully, the night stayed peaceful and no invasions happened. Robby had taken all the money from the villains and all the money from the safe.

The next morning, the children woke up and realized that they were out of supplies. They made sure the house was masked-villains free and headed to BlockyMart, the grocery store down the street.

Hatsune made a mistake of trying to skate on the ice scattered all over the road and slipped, hitting her head and getting frostbite while the cat used her as a pillow.

Robby had the most money since she stole the money from the villains and out-gambling Tania in Monopoly. So she bought a first aid kit, a packet of crisps, and a new Monopoly set since the old one is now a boomerang stuffed with coins. The others (apart from Hannah, who bought cat food) could only afford half a rotten apple.

When they got back to the house (Hatsune slipped on the ice again) they ordered pizza again. While they waited for the pizza, the students tried to bake a pie out of the rotten apples but unfortunately all they made was a burnt rotten apple pie that crumbled to dust after two minutes.

The doorbell rang and Robby eagerly opened the door. There was a pizza delivery man, his face covered by a pile of pizza boxes. Just as the students were about to take the pizza and thank him, the pizza delivery man threw the pizza boxes on the ground and the kids saw that he was wearing a white comedy mask like the other villains, but he was wearing a chef's hat and a rolling pin. He was an imposter.

The impostor started twirling like an out-of-control ballerina. The students narrowly missed getting hit in the face with a rolling pin. Even the cat had the sense to run from the impostor.

All of a sudden, the impostor stopped twirling like a category 5 hurricane. He looked dazed, and accidentally hit himself with the rolling pin. He looked so dizzy that it was surprising that he was even standing. The students viciously attacked him with their own weapons. A gigantic wave of brooms, arrows, spades, a shower head, a cat and a burnt apple pie hit the villain and he didn't make it out in perfect shape.

After the battle, they enjoyed the pizza. Hannah fed a slice of pepperoni to the cat who, surprisingly, gobbled it up as if it hadn't eaten since the Stone Age. After a while of discussion, the students agreed to escape the house tomorrow.

The next morning, Tania and her friends woke up to an alarm that sounded like their screaming algebra teacher. They peeked out and saw Scary Larry emerging from BlockyMart and lumbering in their direction. The students had to either run to the sewer, which they considered a "safe zone" or get whacked in the face by Scary Larry's crowbar.

The students ran to the sewer, holding oxygen masks as they descended into the dark, damp, watery wasteland. Only the cat was happy, it had gobbled more rats than it ever had in its life so far.

The students hopped into a big, empty space just before getting swallowed by the slimy green water. There was a toolbox, a moat of dirty water surrounding the space, and a huge pillar that didn't touch the ceiling, just looking like a very tall stage.

Just when the students thought they were safe, they heard a rumbling noise and Scary Larry appeared on the stage. Instantly there was an uproar from the students below. The students threw rotten apples at him and roasted him with the most creative insults they could come up with.

"Hi," said Scary Larry, "I am Scary Larry."

"Of course we know who you are, you're in Boblox's World Records for the ugliest face in mankind!" hollered Tania.

" So ugly that farmers use your picture as a scarecrow!" screamed Hatsune.

"You're so fat, the last time you made a fur coat, all the mammals went extinct!" roared Hannah.

Scary Larry isn't letting those roasts slide by. He jumped off the stage with a thud, and started whirling and twirling around like a drunk dinosaur trying to dance. The kids scattered, calling Scary Larry a molester every time his crowbar touched them. Bug didn't receive any damage at all. She had flown out of range.

After a while, Scary Larry became too dizzy to continue and stopped spinning. The kids slammed their weapons in his ugly face and turned the key on his back. This aggravated Scary Larry so that he sent twenty ugly villains at the kids, but the kids were already extremely experienced in handling these vermins in the dark, and the kids tore through narrow-minded, pigeon-brained villains like they were made of paper.

Scary Larry was enraged. He jumped down and started tornado spinning/attacking the students so hard that the students had a feeling that no amount of Panadol would save his head. When he stopped to take a break, he was so dizzy that he lost his balance and fell over. The kids made sure to rake every of his cells out one by one until none of Scary Larry remained.

The students heard a noise, and looked up to see a ladder being lowered to them from the surface. They eagerly climbed it and found themselves blinking in the sunlight. They saw that the entire gang of ugly villains from the Purge had been successfully arrested and crazy Uncle Pete was moaning about his lost rat, Louie. Hannah didn't make eye contact with him.

The students were finally free from the Purge. They celebrated with pizza. The pepperoni had mysteriously disappeared and the cat had traces of oily meat on its tongue but no one really cared. They were just happy that Scary Larry won't send minions to knock over their candy tower anymore.
