Chapter 2 - Chapter 1

He had been reincarnated.

If his memories had caught it right, then it was that 'voice' that had send him here into this body of a babe in an unfamiliar world in a small family. He wasn't even reincarnated in a noble family, damn it. Ah well, that was fine, it doesn't really matter which family he was in in the end. What matter was that now he could move again and was alive, not that he could move that much with his undeveloped muscles, but at least he could open his mouth and babble! It was an upgrade compared to that Numb place in his book.

He won't thank that 'voice'. The way it spoke irritated him and it had ordered him to help its child, which he doesn't even know who by the way. He didn't got a choice either in this matter. And by all means, this world was different than his old one.

One, he couldn't understand the language. Not yet. Two, it was medieval-like. Three, it wasn't Asian. And lastly, it wasn't Earth either.

Was it a problem? Not really. He just didn't see the point of why he was here, wherever here was...

Oh, also, he got a glimpse of his family business after a month of getting reincarnated. They were blacksmiths. To be specific, they seems to be working for the Town Lord. Which, the Senji Muramasa part of him, didn't like so much being tied to someone, but as long as he could create a sword and hit the anvil with his hammer, he was fine. And he, himself, also agreed. This was better than being a Town Lord's child, as nobility was bound to be restricted in what they were doing. After all, isn't making a weapon a job for the Common?

Ah, small mercy, really.

Now though... He needs to erase every memories of his infanthood. Because he certainly doesn't want to remember how breastfeeding feels like and how embarrassing it was to be unable to control your bladder.

Really.

--

He found out his name was Sengo in the last five years of his new life.

It was very Japanese. Though considering how Japanese his family was, he wasn't so surprised. His mother's name was Sarah, but his father name was Ryugo. His mother had let his father picked a name from his homeland and his father choose Sengo and thus his new name was Sengo now.

They were a commoner family, through and through. But one day when Sengo had been Three years old, the Town Lord, Count Henituse, grant their family a last name, which his father choose to surprise Sengo himself by choosing Muramasa. And now Sengo was Sengo Muramasa.

The reason as to why the Count bestowed them with a last name was for Sengo's father weapon that had saved the Count's family and also because Ryugo had helped the Count countless time and this was a reward or paying back a debt uncovered as many says.

Sengo only found out because people tend to gossips and he also asked his father about it.

It was weird.. Maybe because he had been a Korean in his past. Either way, he was now five and has a quest of his own.

He wanted to see the forge!

--

It was clear to his parents that Sengo wasn't normal. In fact, they decided that he was far from it when he started speaking when he had been a year old and then walking a few weeks later.

He wasn't interested much in the things any other children his age would be interested in. They were aware of this when a friend of theirs remarked of how mature their son was.

And then, there was the fact that he was very interested in the smithy. Always looking at weapons and armors with awe and a calculating look that they knew a child shouldn't possess at his age.

But he was their child. They love him even when he was different than any other children. And it was reciprocated by him, much to their happiness.

Though sometimes he could be very reckless. Like right now.

"Aish, how many times should we tell you not to go to the smithy by yourself?" Ryugo stared down at his son, who was pouting. At times like this, he truly acted like a child. But he was also making his parents worry.

".. Four." The 5 year old muttered loud enough to be heard by his parents, who sighed tiredly at how he was unwilling to admit guilty.

Sarah, knelt down in front of her son and caressed his hair, though he was still looking down at the ground, she spoke, "We worry for you, little fire. If you got hurt, we will be sad, you know that right?"

The pout on his face disappeared at those words and then he nodded, "yes, Mama.." That make his parents smile.

"That's my little fire." She took him in her embrace, to which he returned moments later. And then his father joined them and lifted them up in the air, making both of them burst up in giggles.

It took a few more minutes before they calmed down, once everyone was standing on their own, Ryugo grinned widely, "Soo, do you want to go back in? Since we're here, i might as well teach my son some basics!" He showed his biceps, to which Sarah hit him with a snort. It didn't hurt.

"He's still five!" She half-scolded, half-joked. To which Ryugo just shrugged and then look at his son, who was staring at him with his eyes wide.

"So?" His father wiggled his eyebrows, to which Sengo come back to and realized that he was allowed to watch!

The idea itself make him bounce on his feet and his eyes shone with excitement, "YES!" He shouted and deliberately grabbed his father's hand so he would hurry and show him the forge. His father just laughed at his rare enthusiasm, it seems like the only thing that interest his son was forging, and if he was interested, who was Ryugo to deny it of him? It's not like he would let his 5 year old son wield a hammer just yet, not until he's at least 9 year old or older.

Sarah just shook her head at her son and husband shared interest. She may be a warrior, but she never found any interest in the process of weapon making itself. But that was alright, she still love them after all.

With a smile, Sarah left the son and father duo to themselves and goes to prepare dinner.
