"Huh?" Silas opened the black bag and clearly saw the shiny contents: diamonds!
"Didn't expect it to be diamonds." Silas tucked the bag inside his suit and started running back toward home.
Boom! Directly in front of Silas, a massive pillar of light shot up into the sky, drawing everyone's attention.
"Looks like this night is destined to be extraordinary!" Silas smiled beneath his mask.
He immediately changed direction and ran toward the pillar of light!
Silas quickly arrived at the scene, finding the area in utter chaos. A red figure was lying motionless in the rubble.
"Wow~ The big red lump~" Silas instantly recognized the red figure.
It was none other than the famous Tony Stark! He was lying on the ground in his Iron Man suit, knocked unconscious.
Right beside him was the source of the light, a huge gaping hole in the ground.
Crunch~
Silas jumped next to Tony and was about to examine his armor when a voice called out.
"Who are you?" Pepper Potts had arrived, accompanied by a middle-aged man who was balding.
After following Tony's instructions and pulling the switch, Pepper had rushed here immediately to check on Tony.
She certainly hadn't expected to find the strangely dressed Silas upon arrival.
"Hi~" Silas raised his hand and waved, then jumped directly into the rubble.
Due to Silas's sudden action, Phil Coulson, standing next to Pepper, quickly pulled out his pistol, but before he could react, Silas had leaped down.
"Who is he?" Coulson asked, confused.
But Pepper didn't have time for him. She rushed to Tony's side, helped him up, and asked, "Are you okay, Tony? What happened to you?"
"I need backup here. A suspicious target showed up, wearing all black and a weird mask."
Coulson's first action was to quickly grab his communicator and call for backup.
In the Rubble
"Found it," Silas grinned.
In front of Silas was the Iron Monger suit, buried in the rubble. Its chest was still glowing.
"I need this!" Silas directly ripped the Arc Reactor from the Iron Monger's chest.
After storing the reactor in the Shadowkhan Kingdom, Silas swiftly left the scene. Mission complete! Retreat!
"Ugh... cough, cough, cough..." Tony slowly opened his eyes.
"Oh my god~ Thank goodness," Pepper said, wiping away tears of gratitude.
"No, actually, I should be thanking you," Tony replied sincerely.
If Pepper hadn't preserved the first-generation Arc Reactor for him, he would have died long ago.
"By the way, Stark, a strange person came here just now. Is he a friend of yours?" Coulson immediately asked once Stark was awake.
"A friend?" Tony frowned.
Coulson quickly explained, "Someone dressed in black clothes, wearing a mask."
"Where did he go?" Tony seemed to realize something and asked immediately.
Coulson pointed to the collapsed rubble nearby. "He jumped down there."
"Bad news..." Tony looked toward the rubble. He distinctly remembered that the Iron Monger had crashed right into that spot.
But given his current state, it was difficult for him to move.
"Forget it... I think it's better if I just lie down for now," Tony thought, lying on the ground. He was truly powerless at the moment.
Meanwhile, the culprit, Silas, had already left the area. To avoid being traced, he had even summoned three Shadowkhan ninjas to leave in separate directions.
Back Home
"Phew~ Finally completed the main mission," Silas said happily, pulling the second-generation Arc Reactor out of the Shadowkhan Kingdom.
Outside, the Shadowkhan ninjas crashed to the ground, turning into black smoke and returning to the Shadowkhan Kingdom.
This was the best recall method Silas had currently discovered for the Shadowkhan ninjas, though it required a cooldown period.
"So, how do I activate the system now?" Silas wondered, holding the Arc Reactor in his hand.
Suddenly, the Arc Reactor in Silas's hand disappeared.
[Ding! Arc Reactor detected. Initiating system activation.]
[System activation successful! Congratulations to the Host for unlocking the Talisman System!]
"My system, you're finally online," Silas said, touched.
Since the system's first communication, this was only the second time he had heard its voice.
"System, what are your features?" Silas asked directly.
[The system is the Talisman System and can help the Host obtain the power of the Twelve Talismans.]
"The Twelve Talismans!" Silas said in surprise, making sure to control his voice since everyone was asleep.
Silas knew the power of the Talismans. If he possessed them, even if he couldn't walk around completely carefree, at least his life would be secure.
[The system will feature twelve main quests for the Host to obtain the Talismans, but the main quests require specific conditions to activate.]
"More activating?" Silas said, annoyed. It took him a whole year just to activate the system itself.
[The system will have Justice Points and Evil Points. These points can be used to exchange items in the System Store.]
"Justice Points? Evil Points? What are they?" Silas asked.
[Justice Points are gained whenever the Host performs good deeds.]
[Conversely, Evil Points are gained when the Host commits actions that violate the law.]
"I see." Silas opened the System Store.
The System Store interface was divided into two shops: one for Justice Points and one for Evil Points.
Silas first clicked on the Justice Point shop and found that it contained all the righteous magic from Jackie Chan Adventures.
The Evil Point shop, conversely, contained dark magic and items that could enhance the power of the Shadowkhan forces. Most notably, Silas also saw that the Demon Chi of the Eight Immortals could be redeemed here.
"A million, huh?" Silas saw that the Demon Chi of a single demon required a million Evil Points.
"I wonder how many Justice Points and Evil Points I can earn at one time," Silas mused, rubbing his chin.
Then, Silas browsed the store. If I can't afford it, I can at least look at it, right?
After a few minutes, Silas found an item that could be purchased with either Justice or Evil Points:
Twelve Talisman Main Quest Clue
The description stated that upon redemption, the system would immediately provide him with a clue for one of the Talismans.
"The price is a thousand? Seems manageable?" Silas pondered.
Even though it was just a clue, obtaining a Talisman would make everything much simpler, avoiding a blind search.
"There's also a Host Panel?" Silas clicked on it curiously.
Host: Silas ParkerGender: MaleAge: SixteenLifespan: Ninety-sevenItems: Shadowkhan MaskAbilities: Summon Shadowkhan, Spider Mutation GeneCurrent Status: Healthy (Excited)
"How simple," Silas muttered in mild disappointment.
He had expected it to be like the novels from his past life, detailing all his data and statistics.
But for now, he was content to have his own cheat.
"For now, I should focus on getting the Shadowkhan Portal ability." Silas really wanted this ability.
Especially in the early stages, it would allow him to be fast—hit and run.
"To gain the Shadowkhan Portal ability, the Host must activate one hundred Shadowkhan ninjas, and then the ability can be activated."
Silas counted. Activating one hundred Shadowkhan ninjas required one hundred Evil Points, and activating the Portal ability required one thousand Evil Points.
"A total of eleven hundred. Doesn't sound like much," Silas said, lying down on his bed.
Then, he gradually drifted off into a dream.
