Chapter 367: Strange Uses of the Transformation Scroll

Silas was greeted by a familiar face: Natasha Romanoff, the Black Widow.

"Why did you turn into her?" Silas asked, slightly puzzled.

Wanda started to stand up, but a look of embarrassment flashed across her face, and she quickly sat back down.

"What's wrong?" Silas frowned. Why the sudden movement? Was there something wrong with the scroll?

"Nothing," Wanda said, clutching her towel tightly around her body.

She had chosen to transform into Natasha first because she was the person she was most familiar with. However, she hadn't anticipated that the Transformation Scroll would also mimic the target's exact body proportions. This meant her current undergarments were... a bit ill-fitting for Natasha's physique. If she stood up, she risked giving Silas quite a show.

"Is the scroll malfunctioning?" Silas's expression became serious. Any magic involving physical alteration required caution, and this was his first time witnessing someone else use the scroll.

"I'm fine," Wanda replied, forcing a smile to hide the awkwardness. "If I peel it off, I'll change back, right?"

"Correct," Silas nodded.

Wanda reached back, found the edge of the paper, and ripped it off. As the scroll detached, her body shifted back to its original form. Watching the transition, Silas finally realized why she had sat down so abruptly. Given Wanda's own... proportions... it made perfect sense.

"Sorry, I wasted one," Wanda said, handing the used scroll to Silas.

Silas took it and dropped it; the paper dissolved into black smoke before it even hit the floor.

"Whoa," Wanda watched in awe.

"Once a transformation is completed and then canceled, the scroll's energy is depleted. It simply returns to the shadows," Silas explained with a smile.

Wanda was fascinated. Silas's gadgets were increasingly miraculous, making her even more eager to learn his peculiar brand of magic.

"Here." Silas pulled out another scroll.

Wanda took it and gave Silas a meaningful look. Silas immediately understood she wanted him to leave the room so she could change without another wardrobe malfunction.

"Come out once you've settled on a look," Silas instructed before turning to exit.

"Wait!" Wanda called out.

Silas paused with his hand on the doorknob. "What is it, Wanda?"

"Can I... have one more?" she asked shyly.

Silas didn't know why she needed a spare so soon, but since the scrolls were inexpensive for him to produce, he didn't mind.

"Catch!" He tossed a second scroll to her and left the bedroom.

Wanda caught it, waited for the door to lock, and then let out a small, mischievous giggle. She stuck the scroll to her skin and looked into the mirror.

"This is... incredible," she whispered.

In the reflection stood Silas Parker. Wanda peered curiously inside her robe for a split second before slamming it shut, her face turning crimson as she collapsed onto the bed, laughing to herself.

The Living Room

"What were you doing in there with Wanda?" Pietro asked suspiciously the moment Silas emerged.

"Business," Silas answered casually. It wasn't a lie—sorting out her identity was business.

But to Pietro's ears, that word carried a different weight.

"Silas!" Pietro rushed over, looking horrified. "She's only eighteen!"

"Mhm, eighteen is a bit young, I agree," Silas said, thinking about Wanda starting university at Empire State. He'd expected her to go to high school instead.

"You know that and you still did it?" Pietro gasped.

"Please," Silas said, exasperated. "Wanda wanted this herself. I didn't force her into anything."

"She wanted it?!" Pietro felt like he didn't know his sister at all. He liked Silas, but he thought they were moving way too fast. Even in America, there were limits. If their parents were alive, Silas would be a dead man. Pietro immediately adopted the "overprotective father" persona.

"Fine..." Pietro sat on the sofa, clutching his hair. "What do you plan to do now?"

Since Silas had saved their lives and Wanda clearly had feelings for him, Pietro just wanted to make sure Silas wouldn't abandon her.

"What can I do? It is what it is," Silas replied, confused by Pietro's intensity. If Wanda wanted to go to college, who was he to stop her? He'd even given her the scrolls to make it happen.

"Silas, I don't like your attitude," Pietro said sternly. He didn't want his sister falling for a "jerk."

"What's wrong with my attitude?" Silas laughed. Pietro was acting incredibly strange today.

Just as Pietro was about to launch into a lecture—Click!

The bedroom door opened. A stunning blonde woman with a fiery figure walked out.

"Huh?!" Pietro stared at her, dumbfounded. Where did she come from? And why was she in the bedroom? He immediately imagined a scenario involving Silas, Wanda, and this new woman.

"Wanda!" Pietro yelled, deciding he had to discipline his sister for being so reckless.

"What are you shouting for, Pietro?!" the blonde woman snapped, her voice full of irritation.

"Shut up!" Pietro snapped back. He assumed this woman was some "bad influence" Silas had brought over. "Get out of our—"

BOOM!

Before Pietro could finish, a wave of crimson Chaos Magic erupted from the woman. Pietro was caught completely off guard and sent flying through the air like a cannonball.

Splash!

He landed in the pool for the third time that day. The blonde woman clapped her hands together. "Loudmouth. He's lucky I'm tired."

"Uh... Wanda, he probably didn't recognize you," Silas pointed out with a twitch of his lips.

Even with their twin intuition, Pietro wasn't expecting her to look like a Swedish supermodel. If he had calmed down, he might have felt her energy, but in his temper, he was blind.

"Hmph," Wanda coughed lightly. "Regardless, if he shouts at me, he gets the pool."

A moment later, a soaking wet Pietro blurred back into the room. He stared at the blonde woman. "Wanda? That's you?"

Silas and Wanda explained the scroll's power.

"Oh... right. I thought... haha~" Pietro's face turned bright red. He had completely misread the entire situation. "I'll... uh... go get some snacks." He vanished in a blur of silver light.

"He's weird," Wanda noted.

Silas ignored him, instead focusing on Wanda's new appearance.
