Chapter 11 - Andorhal

Arthas breathed a long sigh of relief after hearing this. He had genuinely feared that Jaina might miss him again for some reason. They had only been discussing magic, and it seemed he had been worrying unnecessarily.

Arthas smiled politely at Rhodes, quickly taking out several small blue-green potions from his backpack and handing them to him.

As the employer, he should provide Rhodes with resources like magic potions. This was basic etiquette for a prince.

"Rhodes, if you need to restore mana, I have some Purification Potions here you can try," Arthas said.

Although Paladins are melee classes, they also consume mana. Paladins have many spells, so they also carry potions to replenish mana.

"I also have a few Mana Restoration Potions here, Rhodes, you can try these too. They are the masterpiece of a master from Quel'Thalas." Jaina also took out a large bottle of blue magic potion from her backpack and handed it to Rhodes.

These were the best mana recovery potions she had; a certain prince had given them to her when she left Dalaran.

To be honest, Prince Kael'thas was indeed kind to her, but there was no possibility between humans and High Elves; the difference in lifespan between the two races was simply too great!

"In that case, thank you both. I truly need items to restore mana right now." Rhodes nodded, accepted the magic potions handed over by the two, and first consumed the small potion.

The small potion was blue-green, and after consumption, it could slowly restore his mana bar within a certain period of time.

After consuming it, Rhodes immediately felt his mind clear. The effect of this small potion could restore one point of mana value within an hour.

The effect of this small potion only lasted for two hours, meaning it restored a maximum of two points of mana value—better than nothing!

If the quantity was sufficient, it would be quite good. Outside of combat, it was definitely a great item for restoring mana.

However, for traveling, it was enough to fully replenish his mana. As for the mana potions Jaina gave him, they were powerful, and Rhodes planned to use them during combat.

"Prince Arthas, I remember that Paladins have a very special spell called Blessing of Wisdom.

It can restore mana. I wonder if you could cast it on me? Or perhaps let me learn this spell," Rhodes said.

"Well, Rhodes, I..." Arthas' expression looked somewhat awkward.

"Is there some difficulty, Prince Arthas? If so, forget it. These mana potions are sufficient," Rhodes said.

"No, Rhodes, let me be honest!

Although I am a Paladin, I haven't mastered many Holy Light Spells.

I only know a few, and Blessing of Wisdom is a spell that only high-ranking Paladins can cast.

I apologize! I cannot cast this skill, and I cannot even use blessing skills like Blessing of Kings, Blessing of Freedom, or Blessing of Might. I am not a support-type Paladin," Arthas said somewhat tactfully.

In his youth, he actually didn't start by receiving Paladin training; he had always been trained in martial arts by the dwarf Muradin Bronzebeard.

He had always followed the path of the Warrior, until the Second War, when human Paladins were born and the Knights of the Silver Hand was established, and Paladins demonstrated overwhelming power far surpassing that of Warriors.

The Paladin profession became widely popular among humans, and his father also changed his mind, appointing Uther, one of the first Paladins, as his tutor to begin teaching him the way of the Holy Light.

But Arthas' fighting style still leaned toward that of a Warrior, following the path of a Retribution Paladin!

Although Holy Light Spells are universal, he was slightly inferior compared to Holy specialization Paladins; for instance, he couldn't use mass healing, healing the severely wounded, or some protective spells.

"I see!"

"How about this! After this mission is over, after we defeat the Cult of the Damned and kill the Lich Kel'Thuzad, Rhodes, if you are willing!

I can take you to the headquarters of the Knights of the Silver Hand to meet my mentor, Uther. You also practice Holy Light, and my mentor Uther is the most powerful Paladin in the Alliance," Arthas said.

Rhodes nodded, and after exchanging a few more pleasantries, they packed their gear and headed toward Andorhal.

On the way to Andorhal, several small human detachments came to rendezvous with Arthas.

Even some routed soldiers who had encountered the undead joined Arthas' ranks. By the time they reached the vicinity of Andorhal, their total number had reached over 100 people.

After arriving at Andorhal, Arthas saw three members of the Cult of the Damned polluting a mining gold mine.

"These wicked heretics are attempting to contaminate this gold mine! Drive them away!"

Arthas gave the order, leading the accompanying human soldiers to charge forward, quickly dispatching several cultists.

"We can establish a temporary camp here and use it as a center to march toward Andorhal. This area seems to have been completely occupied by the undead," Arthas said.

Everyone nodded in agreement and instructed some accompanying peasants to start setting up a simple camp here, which would later be used to house wounded soldiers and rescued civilians.

Arthas, Jaina, and Rhodes led the elite troops to attack the undead base, while the remaining militia were stationed in place to protect the civilians and search for survivors.

Along the way, they saw a large number of undead creatures: zombies, skeletons, and Ghouls.

Soon, they arrived at a granary, which showed clear signs of plague infection, and all the surrounding grain had already been transported away.

A man holding a staff, wearing a goat skull mask, and dressed in a grey-green robe was commanding the surrounding members of the Cult of the Damned.

"Oh, you are too late, young prince. The grain here has already been transported away. Soon the plague will spread throughout all of Lordaeron, and the great Scourge will sweep across your kingdom," Kel'Thuzad sneered.

"You despicable wretch! I won't let you succeed! Did you establish both the Cult of the Damned and this Scourge?" Arthas roared.

"I did establish the Cult of the Damned, but the Scourge belongs to the Dreadlord Mal'Ganis!" Kel'Thuzad generously exposed the mastermind.
