Chapter 2: reactions after the revelations part 1
Helen Parr (Elastigirl): "WHAT?!!!!!!!!"
Lucius Best (a.k.a. Frozone): "Hold on a minute, you are trying to say you've been giving Jack-Jack additional training, mentoring him, as well as improving your mansion to upgrade your private lab?"
Edna "E" Mode: "Yes, and quite delighted to do so, it was wise to make such a massive investment, the fruits of my investments in Jack-Jack have surpassed my expectations, even when he babysits Benjamin, he still manages to keep up with the unexpected developments at a much faster rate than myself, to the point in which he became my biggest pride and joy, Jack- Jack why don't you give your mother a demonstration of your creations including your newest creation which you spent all night making at your Aunty Edna's house."
Bob Parr (Mr. Incredible): "Well, that's a surprise, yet not as unusual for Jack-Jack, every time he has fallen asleep in his room while creating designs and sketches for his new projects after finishing his homework, as I have carried him from his desk to his bed each of those nights, I've been able to get glimpses of what he has been working on without him realizing, I've known for quite some time that he wants me to feel proud of him and to stop treating him like a little kid, however, he hasn't realized yet, that he has already made me proud beyond my wildest dreams, just a few nights ago, I discovered he has a secret lair and a secret lab beneath our secret lair, with an entire technology room and a command center as well as a teleportation portal to his own private space station headquarters, I never knew that he had gained the money from doing his own work in secret from what he learned with you Edna, waiting for Jack-Jack to speak about all of this until he was ready, has been extremely difficult to keep a secret from my wife Helen the past few years, even from Frozone who has always been my confident and most trusted friend, Dash on the other hand has known for a longer time than me, and made a deal with his brother, which has benefitted both of them."
Dashiell "Dash" Robert Parr (White Lightning): "Now that one of our secrets is out, might as well admit why you don't have your powers, that formula in which Jack-Jack and I have been working on together has been working well on you as well as on others, however, we had to create an additional two versions of that particular formula due to the allergic reactions of some people, the third version which our mother has been drinking also contains an antidote to her disease, doctors told her that there was no cure to her disease and that she only had 7 years left to live, when I informed Jack-Jack to ask him for help, he automatically began helping me in this special project to work on mom's cure, however, on its own it was not as effective and neither was the formula that prevents supers from losing their powers, when we finally made a version that was helping our mom, it still was not enough, so we decided to combine both the antidote and that third version of the formula for our mother, and it has been working more as an antidote than as both an antidote and a form of helping her retain her powers, we took 4 samples to verify our mother's progress on her treatment, and at the rate she is getting cured, she will be fine in about 2 more months, after that there will not be a single trace of her disease in her blood, however, on the other hand, her powers will be completely gone by the end of the year. But with this fourth version of the formula that helps supers keep their powers, she will be able to regain her powers at their original state if she drinks it before her powers are completely gone, which only gives us 3 months until she can drink it, by then she will be completely cured and neither version of the formula will cause her any harm."
John Jackson "Jack-Jack" Parr (Trans Morpheus Force): "Indeed, only after that amount of time can she drink it safely, otherwise, there's a possibility of our efforts becoming counterproductive. In this matter, we are racing against time."
Helen Parr (Elastigirl): "While It does make me angry that the entire family has been keeping secrets from me, especially both of you Jack-Jack and Dash, I'm still grateful that you have been trying to save my life, despite causing me to believe that I had been losing my Taste sense, and about my powers, I'm not that afraid of losing them, both of you are already doing your best to try and help out, Your sister Violet has created weapons that are capable of matching my powers, as long as I wear them on my super suit, it would be as though I had never lost them."
Violet Parr (Psychic Strike): "Well, some of the gizmos I've been working on have indeed been power replications of supers, some have been power enhancement gadgets, and others have been just additional tools that might make their jobs easier."
