That's when Lauren caught on to what was happening.
Terror flashed across her face as she jabbed a finger at me. "Dr. Crawford, she's—she's filming!"
"Lady, don't make stuff up." I cocked an eyebrow, my voice dripping with mock innocence. "I'm broadcasting live."
Bryan stumbled backward, his face draining of color. "What? Live streaming?"
The whole facility was packed with signal blockers crafted by the Cross family's elite tech crew. Even hospital workers needed special devices just to make calls.
Bryan must be thinking, 'How the hell could she connect to the internet and stream live? Does she seriously believe our hackers are complete idiots?'
I could see him pulling himself together, convinced I was running a bluff.
