Irina's POV
"What's the matter, still not satisfied?" Bryan's grin widened as he watched me.
I pushed back from my chair and walked to the wall, leaning against it with my arms crossed. My gaze cut through him like glass. "Who exactly do you think you are? What gives you the right to threaten me?"
"Thought you were some hotshot, but turns out you're just Darius Cross' cousin. Every bit as revolting as he is."
Bryan's smug expression cracked. He stared at me like I'd grown a second head—apparently no one had ever talked to him like this before.
"What makes you think I'd ever be interested in you?" I shot him a look that could freeze hell over, letting every ounce of my disgust show. The thought crossed my mind: What kind of desperate person would I have to be to settle for this creep?
Both Lauren and Bryan went rigid at my words.
