Cynthia had previously gone in person to their Family's estate and forced out all the people who participated in that plan, taking them away.
Berlitz naturally knows this, but he doesn't say anything. Although many Family members were angered by this, what could they do?
House of Berlitz has two centuries of history and is Sinnoh Region's wealthiest Family, no doubt.
But in front of the Sinnoh League, there's no real resistance.

"And Mr. Berlitz, I hear you have a daughter, correct?"
Hearing this, Berlitz and Professor Rowan's expressions change drastically.
"Mr. Damian! Platinum Berlitz has nothing to do with this!"
Berlitz's voice sharpens.
"Of course, but I've long admired Lady Berlitz. I'd like to meet her. Can you arrange that?"
Damian's smile is bright.

"Lady Berlitz, you don't want your Dad to be surprised, do you?"
