Chapter 15 - Chapter 15 Talent x Second Slot

The training by the river continued.

"Yun Gu, did you notice? Kevin is very resilient to beatings," Bisky said.

Yun Gu frowned in thought for a moment, then nodded, as if it really was the case.

However, because he knew Kevin's special circumstances—Kevin was once a Nen User—he didn't find this strange.

"Because he used Flow, even he didn't know it."

This time, Yun Gu was truly surprised, looking at the bewildered Kevin.

Before finding Kevin, he was in the training phase for these techniques.

"What is Flow?" Kevin asked.

This naming convention seemed to be another type of Nen technique.

Some Nen Ability techniques have simple and direct names, while others are highly stream-of-consciousness.

"Ahem, Bisky-sensei's class has begun!"

Bisky cleared her throat and began to explain to Kevin.

"Besides the Four Major Principles, Nen also has seven techniques."

Kevin nodded, understanding, advanced abilities.

"In fact, there are many that you've been using all along, you just didn't know their names."

With that, Bisky began to explain.

En—An advanced application of Ten and Ren. It expands one's aura from the body's center, detecting intruders within it.

Gyo—An application of Ren. It concentrates the heightened aura from Ren into the eyes, allowing one to see through an opponent's In and aura, a fundamental combat technique.

In—A method using techniques like Hatsu to semi-materialize aura, making it difficult for opponents to perceive.

Ko—The simultaneous use of Ten, Zetsu, Ren, Hatsu, and Gyo, allowing a Nen User to unleash attacks of immense power.

Ken—An advanced application of Ren and Ten, strengthening one's defense and offense.

Shu—An application of Ten, imbuing an object touched with Nen, thereby enhancing the object's capabilities.

Ryu—Dynamically adjusts the distribution ratio of aura on the body, making one's offensive and defensive capabilities more efficient.

Kevin listened carefully and understood these techniques; honestly, they were quite easy to grasp.

But, could these really be considered advanced techniques?

He was somewhat puzzled; ever since he learned about Nen and possessed it himself, he had already been making similar changes with his own Nen.

The only technique he hadn't thought of and trained in was In.

"You feel very familiar with them, right?" Bisky asked.

Kevin nodded.

Yun Gu finally reacted, looking at Kevin and saying, "So every time we sparred, you could always dodge my attacks at first.

"But why couldn't you after a while?"

This question made Kevin awkward.

"Uh..."

"Because his body is too weak, his internal aura is very limited, and his manifested aura is also very limited."

Bisky answered for him.

"No wonder. So every time you called for a stop, it wasn't because you really couldn't go on, but because you felt that if you continued, you might get injured?" Yun Gu asked again.

Kevin nodded. Shouldn't that be the case?

I don't have much aura left. If I run out of aura for defense and you land a punch, I'd die right there.

The reason Yun Gu hadn't noticed this problem was because he had initially placed Kevin's strength above his own.

It was just that Kevin was injured and had amnesia, so he couldn't display it.

Unexpectedly, from very early on, Kevin had actually been fighting with his past strength, even stronger than his former self.

Listening to their conversation, Bisky silently sighed beside them, holding her forehead.

These two, truly born Enhancement types.

At this moment, Kevin also reacted.

"If these seven techniques you mentioned are advanced applications that require long-term training and a certain talent to achieve...

Then wouldn't I be... quite impressive?"

Kevin knew too little about Nen Users; frankly, his understanding of this world wasn't extensive.

He had always judged others by Gon's standards and his own standards.

He had never considered that being able to freely control aura was a difficult thing.

He now understood why Bisky had been making him do intense physical training from beginning to end.

"Don't get happy too soon. I told you, your learning ability is too poor.

These so-called advanced techniques are only not fully mastered by those who are self-taught or half-baked Nen Users.

True masters are proficient in all of these techniques; against them, you stand no chance.

Your terrible learning ability will prevent you from incorporating these Nen Ability techniques into your combat, especially since you still need to construct your own Hissatsu-waza (Special Attack)."

And the flaw of insufficient focus that was originally present in Kevin had already been polished away by Bisky.

But it was discovered that Kevin's impatience was merely due to past experiences. Two weeks of pure wilderness training combined with his passion for Nen Ability easily brought him to an average level, and it was no longer considered a flaw.

Only his learning ability.

After two weeks of actual combat, Kevin essentially hadn't improved; only his aura capacity had increased.

And for combat techniques... he truly could only resort to time-consuming and arduous brute-force methods.

For a good child who came out of an ivory tower, such a clumsy method was indeed not ideal, but it was the only choice.

After scolding him, Bisky couldn't help but feel fortunate that Kevin was essentially an Enhancement-type Nen User.

When it came to constructing one's Nen Ability, Enhancement-type undoubtedly required the lowest learning ability.

In fact, simply incorporating these Nen Ability techniques into combat was enough to call it one's own Nen Ability.

The flaws in Kevin, this raw gem, would always be compensated for by his brilliance in other areas.

In a way, it could truly be called luck.

"My own Hissatsu-waza? But don't I already have my own Nen..."

Before he finished speaking, Kevin silently closed his mouth.

Regarding this, although Bisky didn't say much, Kevin was certain that Bisky had already noticed his abnormality.

So that's it. Then it's confirmed that One Moment's Dream will not hinder him from constructing his true Nen Ability.

He really could, while having a Specialization-type Nen Ability, construct a suitable Enhancement-type Nen Ability for himself without any reservations.

Then how should he...

"Don't overthink it. What you should do now is learn more Nen Ability knowledge, and then properly train your body.

And, truly understand your Nen Ability."

Bisky said seriously.

Kevin put away his wild thoughts and nodded vigorously.

"Now, class dismissed! Continue training!"

While speaking, Bisky flicked her finger again.

Yun Gu was once again sent flying backward, and Kevin once again dodged.
