Chapter 26 - Chapter 26:Purple Lighting Iron Ore

Larvitar clearly couldn't wait any longer!

It didn't care whether Lin Xia and Lou Gao could make sense of it or not.

With its keen sense of smell, Larvitar had already penetrated the thick layers of rock and locked onto the coveted treasure!

The little creature let out an impatient, piercing cry. Without hesitation, its short forepaws and small head glowed again with that dense, earthy yellow light, like a miniature drill. Aiming at the section of rock it had identified, it plunged headfirst into the wall!

"Puchi! Whirrr—!"

The same dull sound of rock being mysteriously softened, decomposed, and displaced echoed through the tunnel.

But this time, with Larvitar's digging, an unexpected anomaly occurred!

After digging less than a meter deep, when Larvitar removed a piece of rock shattered by its power, a dazzling purple light erupted—blinding, mesmerizing, as if imprisoned lightning had suddenly been unleashed. The small tunnel it had just opened was instantly filled with brilliant illumination!

The light wasn't static; it flowed and danced like a living being.

Countless tiny purple arcs flickered and darted within the rock.

A surge of incredibly pure, overwhelming energy radiated through the space, tingling with a numbing intensity, like an invisible tide sweeping everything in its path.

Lin Xia could even feel faint electric currents across his exposed skin; the hairs on his arms stood on end.

The air filled with a unique metallic scent, tinged with the sharp, searing aroma of lightning.

Lin Xia and Lou Gao simultaneously gasped, eyes widening in shock.

Inside the section of rock Larvitar had dug, it was no longer ordinary surrounding rock. Instead, an awe-inspiring sight appeared—an entire vein of nearly pure purple ore!

The mineral gleamed with a deep, noble violet hue, crystalline in texture. Within, countless delicate purple electric sparks flickered and vanished, as if a concentrated thundercloud had been sealed inside the ore!

The flowing light radiated a pulse of energy that made one's heart race.

"This… this is…"

Lin Xia was momentarily speechless, utterly stunned by the sudden, immense discovery. He turned to Lou Gao, voice trembling with excitement.

"Teacher! This is the vein you said had… little remaining value?! You called this… worthless?!"

Lou Gao's expression was even more astonishing.

On his weathered face first appeared the same pure, extreme shock as Lin Xia's, mouth slightly agape—wide enough to fit an egg.

Then, that shock quickly transformed into a mixture of exhilaration, disbelief, absurdity, and a twinge of embarrassment at being proven wrong.

Lou Gao stared fixedly at the vein of glittering purple electricity, eyes wide, muscles in his face twitching slightly.

"Purple… Purple Lighting Iron Ore?! Damn it! Such a huge vein?! And the purity's this high?!"

His voice suddenly rose, and he stepped forward. His rough hands trembled slightly as he reached toward the purple ore so close before him, yet hesitated, afraid of disturbing this dreamlike scene.

He rubbed his eyes hard, leaned in for a closer inspection, and once he confirmed it, his face flushed crimson, his beard trembling with excitement:

"When this mine was first opened, I… I… I personally led repeated surveys over a dozen times! Every method imaginable was used!"

"Detection Soul Devices, veteran surveyors… all concluded this area was a depleted mine. The main vein exhausted, the accompanying rocks worthless! Who could have imagined—who could have imagined this?!"

Lou Gao's voice brimmed with frustration and the absurdity of being proven so wrong. He pointed to the wall that Larvitar had effortlessly tunneled through, separating them from this treasure, waving his arms in excitement.

"Just this damned wall! Just behind this one wall! Lies a vein of Purple Lighting Iron Ore worth a fortune?!"

Lou Gao suddenly turned his gaze toward Larvitar, still furiously digging. Its forepaws moved so fast they left only afterimages, constantly scooping out chunks of ore containing purple lightning and cradling them in its arms, nearly fainting with happiness. Lou Gao's eyes blazed with a brilliance he had never shown before, as if he were witnessing a priceless treasure.

"A god! This is truly godlike!"

"Xia! Your Martial Soul… this Larvitar… this ability… it's absolutely… absolutely transcendent! This isn't mining—it's turning stone into gold! No! It's taking treasure through walls!!"

Hearing Lou Gao's words, filled with awe and astonishment, Lin Xia's heart surged with emotion.

Although Lin Xia had always held high expectations for Larvitar, he never imagined it could achieve such a transcendent effect!

Yet, even amid the excitement, Lin Xia's curiosity grew as he looked at the strange ore, flickering with beautiful purple light, with what seemed like countless tiny lightning currents moving inside.

Pointing at the ore, radiating tingling energy waves, he asked Lou Gao, still immersed in the overwhelming surprise.

"Teacher, this Purple Lighting Iron Ore you mentioned… what special properties does it have? Why does it excite you so much?"

Lou Gao took a deep breath, trying to calm his racing heartbeat. The gleam in his eyes reflected the clarity and precision of a master craftsman as he quickly and clearly explained.

"Purple Lighting Iron is an extremely rare thunder-element ore! Its uses are extraordinary!"

"First, weapons forged from it naturally carry a trace of thunder power. Each strike can potentially paralyze the opponent, disrupt their Soul power flow, and its destructive power far surpasses that of ordinary refined iron weapons!"

"If forged into armor, it doesn't just offer extremely strong defense. When attacked, the embedded thunder energy can automatically activate, rebounding the attack or even paralyzing the assailant—truly a supreme material combining offense and defense!"

"Imagine a whole army equipped entirely with weapons and armor made from Purple Lighting Iron—what kind of battlefield advantage would that create?"

Hearing this, Lin Xia's mind immediately conjured the scene, and his eyes involuntarily brightened.

But that wasn't all. Lou Gao paused briefly, his tone growing even more fervent.

"And that's only the beginning! Its most precious value lies in the fact that the ore itself contains pure and stable thunder-element energy."

"For Soul Masters with thunder-element Soul, carrying even a palm-sized piece of Purple Lighting Iron allows them to continuously absorb the dispersed electric energy, subtly refining their Soul power and nourishing their body!"

"This effect is almost equivalent to carrying a small, portable simulation training ground. Though the boost isn't as strong as a true top-tier simulation environment, it's still significant enough to greatly accelerate cultivation! This is a treasured aid that every thunder-element Soul Master dreams of!"

After hearing this, Lin Xia's mind suddenly cleared.

So the ore wasn't just valuable for forging divine weapons—it was equally precious for its cultivation benefits for thunder-element Soul Masters!

It was literally a mobile cultivation accelerator!

Its value was simply immeasurable!

However, Lin Xia's thoughts didn't stop at the ore's intrinsic value. Watching Larvitar cradle a piece of Purple Lighting Iron larger than its own head, gnawing at it with a happy "crunch," its little face glowing with joy, and faint, almost imperceptible purple sparks dancing across its gray-green scales… a bolder, more fitting idea for Larvitar's growth suddenly surged into his mind.

Larvitar, when it evolves into Tyranitar, will be capable of mastering many powerful thunder-type moves!
