Chapter 111: The Giant Elephant
The man in the black suit narrowed his eyes, a bad feeling hitting him.
At the same time, his entire body tightened as he activated Iron Body.
"Pup—pup—pup—"
But this time, what pierced him weren't soft pale hands—they were razor-sharp claws. Iron Body only tightened his muscles to increase defense; it couldn't turn his body into actual metal.
The dense claws pierced straight into his flesh. Blood welled out in streams, and his expression changed dramatically.
"Moooo—!"
He could no longer afford to hide himself. With a roar, his body swelled rapidly.
Within moments, he had transformed into a five-meter-tall giant elephant.
His massive weight dragged him straight downward.
"A Devil Fruit user…"
Robin frowned slightly.
She could feel how strong this Marine was—Camon and the others were no match for him. If he made it back to the ground, Camon could be in real danger.
She clenched her teeth and made up her mind.
"Yah—!"
Her form shifted, becoming a massive Quetzalcoatlus. Her wings spread wide enough to blot out the sun, and she streaked downward like a falling star.
Just as the black-suited man was about to crash into the ground, she reached him. A huge claw slashed toward the giant elephant.
"Psh!"
His thick hide tore under her talons, several harsh wounds opening across his body.
Boom!!
The giant elephant slammed into the ground, the earth cracking apart beneath his weight. Massive fissures split outward, and a terrifying shockwave swept across the port.
"Moooo—!"
He roared furiously, his enormous trunk stabbing forward like a steel lance at the Quetzalcoatlus, the air exploding around it.
The shockwave blasted out like a storm, sending nearby onlookers flying.
The Quetzalcoatlus flapped once, slipping past the strike.
"Back-Born Wing Bloom · Colossus!"
"Single-Wheel Bloom · Divine Claw!"
A sharp resolve flashed in Robin's eyes as her towering form surged upward again.
Buzz!!
A pair of enormous wings sprouted across the elephant's back—each more than ten meters long. Every flap whipped up howling winds, as if trying to lift the giant elephant off the ground.
At the same time, a massive claw—formed from overlapping hooked talons—emerged on his back.
Black light glinted coldly across it, hardened with Armament Haki, tearing downward toward the elephant's spine.
"Elephant Iron!"
The giant elephant uttered a guttural command. A black-gold sheen rippled across his back, and he braced himself against the earth like a creature supporting the sky, radiating a primal, ancient pressure.
"Psh…"
The giant claw pierced his hide, blood spilling.
But it only sank in about twenty centimeters before jamming—no deeper.
Twenty centimeters was nothing to a five-meter elephant—barely scratching the surface.
"What…"
Robin's pupils constricted in disbelief.
"Elephant—Tempest Slash!"
A raspy voice snapped her back to her senses.
His trunk curved like a massive battle-axe and swung upward in a brutal arc.
Buzz!!
The air split open, a slash dozens of meters long shooting toward the airborne Quetzalcoatlus.
Robin's heart tightened. She wanted to dodge, but the slash was too fast—and too wide.
"Pshh!"
She could only avoid the fatal point. The blow carved across her back, leaving a massive wound as blood scattered.
Below, the giant elephant was already preparing his next attack.
And then—the sky darkened.
"Th—That…!"
"Look! Up there—what is that…"
"R—Run! That must be this little bird's mother—!"
Those who managed to see the shape above them screamed in terror.
