"What~ What the?" I yelled as I woke up.
"My chest and... my arm?" clutched at my left arm and chest in confusion. Moments prior, I felt a surge of pain there. I thought I died of a heart attack.
"Hello, child," A solemn voice could be heard right behind me. I turned back, but it was just an empty void. Everything was just an empty void around me.
My mind felt a lot clearer. I could think better, and I felt better as well.
"Ah, you must have noticed how your mind became a lot better," The voice said.
"Who~ who are you?" I asked.
"Well. I am god," It replied.
"Huh?"
"Who I am doesn't matter too much... But I do know what you want. And I believe we could help eachother out," It said.
"What do you want from me?" I asked, a bit suspicious.
"Hmm... You want another chance in life, where things could have gone better. And I have just that opportunity... But it doesn't come without a cost," It replied.
Before I could speak up.
"You will be reborn and put inside a failure of a prince. He died of overdrinking. That world has something quite special, but unfortunately, some of my enemies had sabotaged the world, leading it to regress in terms of technology. You will be compensated for your work in many ways, one of them being the second chance at a new life," It replied.
"But why me?" I asked.
"Hmmm. For one, you are smart enough to carry on the task. And two... You have the drive to change. This is the catalyst which will give you the power to change yourself," It replied.
"What should I do there? Should I create temples or churches, or something like that to worship you?" I asked incredulously.
"For that, I don't care. All I need from you is to advance the technology there. As long as you advance it to an acceptable level, you will be rewarded well," It replied.
"Now, time is running out. I will be giving you a... system. I know you don't have the capabilities to create things from scratch. You stunted yourself afterall. This system will award you points. These points can be used to get various perks and even technological knowledge. The more work you do, the more points you get. More points mean more advancement, letting you achieve your goals faster," It replied.
"Wait! Before I leave... Does this world have magic... or are the Laws of Physics different there?" I asked.
"Nope. A lot of things are different, but no magic. And the Laws of physics are a constant throughout the multiverse," It said.
Before I could reply. I woke up, groaning in pain.
