After all, he consumed numerous Elixirs, and he accounted for the used materials by deliberately keeping his apparent Pill Formation Success Rate down. In the eyes of others, Pharmacist Yang's success rate was only slightly higher than average, which was exactly the image he wanted to project. It wouldn't do him any good if people knew he had hoarded so many Elixirs.
As the saying goes, a thief who steals is less frightening than a thief who has you marked.
He kept his stash in a special Treasure Weapon, the Profound Yin Hanging Bead, and the number of Elixirs he regularly consumed was immense. These were all details Yang Chan had never revealed, nor did he intend to do so in the future.
Just as he had revealed his identity as a Genius Pharmacist but not as someone with monstrous talent, every improvement he made was gradual and observable. He showed steady progress, not a meteoric rise to the top.
"Pharmacist Yang, just do your best!"
